The 80s called... they want their arcade back (and maybe their joysticks too)! We first spotted Crave 80s Arcade Bar while staying overnight at the hotel that shares its parking lot. At the time, we couldn't check it out because we had our dogs with us. The name came up again at the Marysville Strawberry Festival, and when a friend was in town, we decided to give it a try after dinner. While I was born in the 80s, I wasn't exactly hanging out in arcades back then, so this was a bit of a nostalgic first. When you walk in, the walls are lined with pinball machines. There are a few other games scattered around, but pinball is definitely the star here. At the bar, I asked if there was more to the place, and the bartender pointed us to a "living room" behind the bar where you can sit and play Atari or the original Nintendo. The menus came in trapper keepers, complete with the satisfying Velcro sound, which was a fun touch. The guys jumped on the Atari first, but the joysticks didn't seem to work quite right. They moved on to the Nintendo, which was actually a Raspberry Pi loaded with multiple games. After a short stint there, we headed back out to the pinball area. I'm no pinball expert, but we happened to be there during a tournament, and the boys got schooled by some regulars, which made the experience a bit more fun. I also enjoyed the glass case filled with 80s miniatures and artifacts, and the vending machine stocked with nostalgic items like games, books, and snacks you'd expect from that era. Overall, it was a cool concept but felt a bit underwhelming. It's worth checking out once if you're in the area, but it's not a place we'll likely revisit. read more

A REAL working Atari in the den that takes you to your best friend's living room. Order hot dogs, paninis, or ice cream filled donuts and wash it all down with your fav drink or the drink of the day. Menus are in the Trapper Keepers you can find around the bar, obviously. Watch reruns of Roseanne at the bar, or take in the sights of all the epic collectibles in the den. Crave 80's Arcade is a fun throwback bar. I loved seeing the old school posters and boom boxes on the walls. There is a small living room in the back where you can play old school Nintendo or Atari. Even the restrooms are themed with posters of 80's pop stars. The main bar is filled with old school video games like Mrs Pac Man and Pong, plus a ton of pinball games. The games are super old and did eat our quarters sometimes, but the bartender had a cup of quarters on hand and was happy to replace them. Their drink options were impressive. They have a large selection of beers, regular drinks, and a full bar. They also have food available. Crave 80's is a fun hangout spot and I look forward to goin there again. read more

Lately I have been in to arcade bars. I came across this one accidentally, I see it is new but I was not aware of the prior one in it's location. Facebook events always help me find new things to do. This place is super cute and should be an additional stop off to anyone who might be visiting the area for outlet shopping or gambling, everyone needs a diversion at some point. What stands out for this one is the fabulous theme, like most people in my age group I love the 80's. Even if you don't love pinball/arcade games this is a fun place for a drink or meal. Plus it's a bar so it's child free. Plenty of easy parking, close to the freeway. There is a good selection of pinball games, some other fun ones that let you test your strength, tell you your perfect partner, etc. Games vary in price, some are just a quarter. There is a full bar with a couple taps. I appreciate the multiple options of places to set your drink. The menu has hot dogs and something called stuffed puffins, which appears to be an ice cream donut. I do wish they had some veggie hot dog options, but it's hard to eat and play video games anyhow. The people working here are very nice and even the bathroom is a fun stop off. read more

First time coming here - I didn't know it even existed before yesterday when it came up in a Google search. We had a really good time here! It's small and, being a Saturday night, it was fairly busy. There's a full bar and small menu. We had a lot of fun playing the games. A lot of pinball machines. And we played Ms PAC-Man , Galaxa, Tetris and Pac-Man Attack (?) - that one was a lot of fun. A couple was playing Rock Band and it was fun to just sit and watch them and listen. We had the doughnut filled with ice cream and it was delicious!! The guy working was worried because they were out of chocolate ice cream so they just had vanilla which came with a strawberry jam - God forbid my husband should eat a fruit - so I just ordered it with vanilla ice cream - and then the guy said we could try chocolate sauce on one but he didn't think it would be good. But, actually, it was awesome! My husband preferred the chocolate one and I actually liked the plain vanilla. Very yummy! However, they were out of whip cream - which would have been a nice addition, but I still think it was really good. I'll go back again. We stayed a little over an hour and it was fun! Hopefully, if they continue to be popular, they can expand into a larger place? They need a Frogger game! It's a fun idea! read more

I went with my friends last night and was quite surprised because they ended up doing Karaoke! I was so happy!! The place is this mini-dive like bar but with a whole 80s theme arcade look! You got pinball machines and arcade machines lined up against the walls and tables in the center. I been here in the past but really love the new layout with the tables in the center to create an audience for the karaoke and bands and an outer area for the people who came to drink and play games. They have a great variety of drinks from ciders, beers to the hard stuff :) I have had the fun drinks on the menu as well as a marg and yesterday was a cider day for me and have not once been disappointed. I actually was happy because I hadn't been there in a while and the bartender remembered me and thanked me for coming back! Really nice guy! Ok... (drum roll) the PUFFINS!!! This place is rockin! I finally stopped in on my way back from up North and got to play all the variety of 80's (and more) games. There are pinball machines lining the walls with classics as well as the newest ones here. Seating in the middle with food and, of course, drinks available. The coolest part is how this place has been transformed into a 1980's themed living room or arcade. There are plenty of 80's references all throughout from Three's Company playing on TV, to the back living room with the old Atari 2600 (?) system, a floor based large box TV, a couch and a large collectibles case on the side. The bathrooms even have lots of 1980's movies and music posters. Lots of room to move about and sit if you want. Very friendly bartender and the owner, Lefty, who I met. The pinball machines are all in great condition and all were working. Some were even on free play so no quarters were needed. I'm told they have pinball tournaments on several weekdays as well. This place is next to Another Castle just East of I-5 right near the Tulalip Casino. Very easy to get to. There's also plenty of swag to buy like T-Shirts, Fanny Packs, etc. Give Crave 80's a try and kick it like it's 1986! read more

Pros: This place reminds me of my grandmas house in the 80's. Don't forget to go back by the bathrooms and check out that area. Full of old toys and games. Bartender was super friendly. Cons: You have to carry around change to play games. I wish you could pay a flat fee per hour and play all the pinball. The owner of this barcade truly captures the essence of the 80's. You can tell so much thought and effort goes into this place. The pinball machines and arcade games are awesome and the 80's living room area makes you feel like you stepped back in time. The food is great and the specialty cocktails are too. This place is fun, the staff are epic, and it's a memorable spot. I love the nachos and the turkey panini is SO GOOD. The food was fresh and made exactly like I ordered it and tasted better than I could have hoped. The prices are reasonable and the machines work great. What a collection of classic games! There's even karaoke nights weekly and occasionally tournaments and events. Every time I've come I've had nothing short of a wonderfully fun time. Bathrooms are clean and stocked and the whole place is tidy. Only main disappointment personally is one of the posters in the bathroom having satanic imagery from an old movie. Fantastic Karaoke Arcade Bar! These are too few and far between, and this one has made me a regular. Food is delicious and fast, would like to see more bar food options in the future. The staff are excellent, fast, hardworking, and very friendly. Alex, one of the bartenders is truly awesome, he gets to know you, knows your drink, even has mine ready when I show up. Everyone here loves karaoke, and they have some of the best hosts you can find anywhere. A bit of a hole-in-the-wall in an unlikely place next to Another Castle game store, it is spacious enough to accommodate everybody on most nights even with wall-to-wall pinball machines, although some nights get to be a little bit standing room only, but that's just how popular it is. We walked in while waiting for a table next door and felt right at home right away! This place is awesome! I could actually taste the alcohol in the Jello Shots and the staff was amazing! We hung in the back living room where we felt like we were in our childhood homes. The claw game machine has Cabbage Patch dolls in it and we even won! All the touches are perfectly in place here. I have nothing bad to say about this bar, fun atmosphere and friendly staff. What I want to talk about is the karaoke. We went in on a Friday night thinking we'd have some drinks and sing a few songs. After more than an hour of watching the same handful of people going up to sing 4 or 5 times we heard the announcement that we could get bumped up in the queue for $20. It was at that point we realized we would never get up if we didn't pay. What a joke. I will never set foot in there again. I found this place on yelp... was kind of worried that I was walking into an over hyped arcade bar but it was definitely not that! My friend and I did a girls night here. We had a great time!! They have pinball, pac man, Tetris, ping pong and more that I probably missed... we had a blast.. I think I spent like $100 playing games.. the games are cheap.. 25 to 75 cents per game.. there is Tetris in the back for free.. There are also Saturday cartoons going in the living room.. The atmosphere is one that's hard to find. Everyone was really friendly including the staff and owner. We had a great time here! Definitely will be a go to spot! The food is also amazing!!! Hard to find panini's that taste as good as the owner(Lefty) makes. We were there for like 4 hours. It was a blast! I love this place we are always here but tonight was the worst experience I have ever had! The bartender Amber (?) was very rude to me when I went to order food and she got drinks wrong, my friends food was wrong. My food took way too long to get to me, my friend ordered after me and got theirs first, and half of my order was wrong and my sandwich was under done. She had attitude all night with us and many others that was uncalled for. I felt horribly self-conscious when ordering my food because she made me feel like I was a burden and the look I got was like I was getting judged for wanting to eat. Tonight would have been so much better had Alex been on staff tonight. Bryce was amazing and super fun to have hosting! Love this place but tonight was not a good night. read more

My girl and I were looking for something different on a Friday night and we found this place on yelp so we decided to give it a shot. Located in the parking lot of the holiday Inn express and sharing a building with a video game store called Another Castle it was sort of cramped heading in. Once inside it was sort of like one of those moments in a movie where the person walks in and the music stops and everyone stares at them. Bikers where everywhere and a lot of people with piercings. We were clean cut and possibly a little wet behind the ears for this place. As we approached the bar there was a line for drinks and very limited seating, which was all spoken for. We decided to tough it out and just roll with it. We got our drinks and proceeded to grab some change for the pinball machines. There were a ton of them and a few arcade cabinets as well which may have explained the heat. The temperature was unbearable and I couldn't help but wonder how everyone else was dealing with it, well I got my answer - just pop out for a smoke every 5 minutes. The pinball itself was decent just not a lot of the best ones, sort of run-of-the-mill obscure types. It was karaoke night apparently but the small cramped stifling room was just simply not ideal. The stage was dead center in amongst the games, bar and what few seats they had. I see what they are trying for here and it's a shame they don't have the entire building to themselves.
