Let me start off by saying, I'm very particular about who/how my hair is cut... I went to the same person for 12+ years in California but since moving to the Denver area, I have had a hard time finding someone I like. I turned to yelp and have went to a few places and found one I liked, but was not fond of the price and the fact that I have to make an appointment online as I am a procrastinator and don't think to schedule a haircut 2+ weeks out. That being said, if you like that "appointment only" type of place, THIS place ISN'T for you. No frills here. No fancy lattes or TVs (although there was a small 22" or so on for some background noise). You can relax, no need to pretend you are someone you are not, walking in with your pinky's in the air haha. There was a pup hanging out on the floor (very well behaved, didn't move the whole time) and a big pile of hair in the corner. I can deal with this to not spend $40 on a basic haircut! Haircuts here are currently $17, buzzcuts $12, and I believe beard trims were $5 (BS is free!) Didn't catch the barbers name that cut my hair but he listened to what I wanted (and since I can never explain) he took it off slowly and kept asking if I wanted it shorter/styled differently and took it from there. IT TURNED OUT GREAT! He even finished me off with a hot lather/straight razor on the back of my neck @ no extra charge! I have literally been looking for the right person and place to get my hair cut on a regular basis for years. I've been to a plethora of high dollar salons and cheap chains. I decided I needed to find a barber shop. I was a little concerned as I didn't want just a buzz cut. Naturally I went to Yelp to read some reviews. Legends had 25 solid reviews but was a 20 minute drive. I saw Real Barbers a couple of months ago. It was much closer to my house but only had one review and I couldn't find a website or anything. I decided to drive over this morning and take my chances. Turns out there is a hair salon right next door. I wasn't paying attention and walked in to the wrong place. It wasn't quite what I had envisioned. There was a row of chairs and one lady giving a guy a haircut. Out of the corner of my eye while waiting I saw a guy sweeping in front of a place next door. It occurred to me that I wasn't in the barber shop... I walked out, approached Mark and said "no wonder that place didn't seem like a barber shop". He shook my hand, laughed and invited me in. Cool, old school place, a couple chairs and a couple of barbers. The perfect haircut is just part of it. The right atmosphere and personality is a big deal. This place has it all. I was talking with Mark about almost not coming in since I could only find one review and nothing else online. He said he had been meaning to put something more in-depth on Yelp but had been busy. Truth is, he is probably just one of those guys that doesn't do much online. He's not in front of a screen, he's in front of people. He was more than pleasant to talk with, cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it and took his time. I would have gladly paid twice the price he charged me. Their prices are more than reasonable and that leaves plenty of room to give a well deserved tip. I told him I was going to write a review on Yelp. I recommended we snap a photo in front my 50 Chevy truck and his barber pole. If you don't live close to Platte Canyon and Bowles, make the drive. Totally worth it and Chubby's is a block away. Get a cut and pick up a breakfast burrito after. Go see them and take the time to write review to help these guys out, they deserve it. This is my go to place for eternity. Locally owned shop. So I have never had a problem with them ! Old school the price is fair and it's a walk in shop . This is how all places should be ran the price around Littleton is way to expensive ! I do wise they had some other tools the other shops had the Barbour told me he couldn't do a particular fade I wanted because he didn't have the right clipper . So I have 4 sons. I love this barbershop. I take my 9 year old in and ask for little boy haircut and that is all the information they need. I have never received a bad haircut for one of my boys. Their hours can be challenging when the kids are in school but I love these guys. I took 3 of my kids to a different shop on a Sunday because I couldnt coordinate my schedule with their hours... 75.00 later and three bad haircuts... These guys are great. Very old school. Great haircuts, usually not much of a wait. I know it's not a fair comparison, but I pay one-tenth of what my wife and daughter pay to get their hair done, and that's with a big tip. Mark, Paul and Sammy are real pros. read more

Glad I found this place. Mark & Paul are not only "real" barbers they are also very skill at their profession. There is seldom a wait, but it's worth it's to stick around if there is. Good haircuts. Is inexpensive but the barbers know what they are doing. They don't ask you what number you want. You just tell them what kind of haircut and they do the rest. Not sure what else to say, just a good, old fashioned barber shop. read more

Clean, skilled, inexpensive. Awesome barbers without all the "extras" they won't hand you a beer and then give you a crappy haircut for $35. Just great cuts, at a great price. Doesn't hurt that they are easy to talk to either. read more

Please don't believe the reviews. They will jack your head up!! Smh. Went in thinking all was good cause of the reviews, boy was I WRONG! wish i got back in my car. My barber left Colorado recently and I was saddened. She knew my hair inside and out better than I ever did. I only had one regular barber in my life. Nervously I began a search. I went to a recommended barbershop and set an appt a week prior to today. The barber I was scheduled with was late, after 25 mins waiting the front desk told me he said he didn't have a client this morning. I left. I was wondering where would I find a barber and not a gimmick. I don't drink beer, don't really care for razor designs or hair dye. After 2 stops before giving up for the day, I found Real Barbers on Yelp. I made the trip to the small shop. I was immediately seated! Nobody asked me if I had an appointment, which I liked. There was no music playing, just a tv and the sound of the clippers. I felt at ease and told him the basics of how I wanted my hair and he did the rest. He did an amazing job and was focused the whole time. I'm VERY pleased with my haircut and would recommend them to anyone I know! I've found a great shop close to my house!
