About a month later, on June 5, I followed up because I hadn't received a quote. There had been a simple miscommunication regarding my wine selections, which I immediately clarified, and Jana responded that she would have my quote put together the following week. When I still hadn't heard anything, I followed up again on July 15. After receiving no response, I called the store on July 18 and spoke with a manager. He told me he would get in contact with Jana to clear things up. He proceeded to call me back a short time later and explained that Jana had already drafted an email but had never sent it. He told me I should hear back by Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without any communication, so I called again on Thursday. That's when Jana told me she had lost all of my information and had no way to contact me. That explanation was extremely confusing because we already had an existing email conversation, and I had just been told there was an email drafted waiting to be sent. When I finally received my quote, it didn't accurately reflect what we had discussed and even recommended 144 bottles of vodka for a wedding with approximately 90 guests, which made me question whether my information had been reviewed at all. What is even more disappointing is that we are loyal, weekly customers. I would have never expected such a drastic difference in customer service when I came in to plan one of the most important events of our lives. Mistakes happen, but any communication over the course of 92 days would have completely changed this experience. Instead, I had to repeatedly follow up, received conflicting information throughout the process, and ultimately lost confidence in trusting Bubbles Liquor World with our wedding. Because of this experience, we chose to take our business elsewhere.

But there are a handful in town that are just...different. This isn't QUITE one of the top dogs (Argonaut, Applejack,, etc.), but it is a solid place indeed. They have the basic requirements I look for in a liquor store such as local items, easy-to-spot sales, and a good staff that actually knows their product. But they also have tastings where their staff is performing them under the watchful eye of a local brewer. This lets them learn the beers as they sell them. I like that a lot. Sale prices, clean store, and a good variety of local beers at non-insane prices. The location is a bit weird and off the path, but worth the extra 60 seconds TOPS that it takes to get in and out. Probably the best store this side of town.

It is now Tuesday and I haven't received a callback despite leaving another three voicemails - one about five hours after the first one, one on Saturday and one on Monday. The last time I ordered from them, in March, I had similar issues. They have lost my business. I have found a place where people actually answer the phone and the prices are lower. I am not going to beg a business to let me spend hundreds of dollars with them.

I've been there a few times, and one of the employees in particular just comes across as being very erratic. The last time that I went in there, he took the bottle of wine I was trying to buy and started to slam it on the counter. Until that point, we didn't have any conversation at all so I was worried about his state of mind (thankfully the bottle didn't break).
