The receptionist took down my wrong phone number and when she needed to call and have me come in at a different time, I never received it. I then had to reschedule for another 2 weeks later, but Steve was very apologetic about the situation although it was no fault of his own. When I arrived, I showed Steve 2 images of what I had in mind and he respectfully and kindly informed me that the styles were quite different from each other and advised which would be the better choice. I appreciated the input as I probably would have regretted the deep V-cut that looks nice from the back, and not so much from the front. Steve was friendly and ensured that I was happy with my cut. He also offered coffee, water or tea. I would highly recommend giving him a visit!

But this was the first time I went to a salon where I got exactly what I wanted and was more than happy with the results. I went in for a walk in on a Thursday afternoon. There was one other person waiting to go before me and she was getting her hair colored. Once that client was started, Lisa started on me, so I didn't have to wait long (5 minutes). Lisa did a great job with my hair. I've never been happier with someone working with it. When I walked in I wanted to clean up my hair with a 2 inch trim, get rid of the split ends, and fix my bangs. Even though we didn't speak too much to each other, she still understood what I wanted. I also learned how much I don't know about my own hair when I went in for my cut. She did do a couple things that we didn't discuss. BUT it's crazy because those were the things that I LOVE the most about my visit. She made my bangs shorter than I originally planned, and she thinned out my hair a little. I originally wanted my bangs to be on the longer side and I didn't even think about thinning it out in the moment. With the bangs, I've gotten used to people just cutting it quickly and leaving me with a chunk of shorter hairs that feel clumpy and ungraceful. But when Lisa was working with my bangs, she gave it more life. My bangs look much more light, feathered, and graceful than before. She spent time on it to make sure it was just right, which I love. And with thinning my hair, it has crossed my mind once or twice but I never verbalized that I wanted it. Now I can see how that's a problem for some people, but for me, I was okay with it. My hair is thick, and usually feels suffocating because of it. I noticed after she thinned it out a little, I felt like I could breathe more, because the extra weight was taken out. You can really see that she is a perfectionist in her work. She took so much time with my hair and finally stopped trimming it after she realized she was going to take too long on it. I've never felt like I had so much attention for a 2 inch trim! (Granted this could be because her other client was still waiting for the color to set in, so I was the only other client there at the time) Regardless, this is definitely my go-to place for now on. My hair has never felt more amazing from a haircut before. I paid $35 for my wash and cut, and she also styled it a little for me. Amazing and will definitely come back before 8 months for this experience again!

Her coloring skill is the best and she always manages to perm my hair without damaging it (in the past, I've gotten my hair almost fried at other salons). The day before I contacted Monique at 10:59AM to get the details - no response. Naturally, Im concerned that I would not have an appointment the next day - so I began to prepare just in case. The following morning, she replies back to my text and offers to have me come in earlier because a previous appointment cancelled. I schedule my entire day around this appointment change only for her to change it again last minute. Supposedly, this is how she prefers to do business. Not a problem, so I decide to cancel and take my business elsewhere. This is where the problem began. Monique clearly needs a Xanax and a snack, and two proper meal breaks so she won't have to speak recklessly to a customer spending $200 for services. :). I took screenshots of the conversation to share - this can make it easier for you to form your own opinion on how this person so seriously handles her profession. And Monique, if you're reading this. I do hope you find a more polite way to speak to people - especially if your business is flourishing so successfully, as one customer wouldn't cause too much conflict in your life.
