We've been attending Quonny Yoga for 8 months. We have practiced with other teachers but have found Quonny to be the best! Gary, our instructor, has many years of experience teaching yoga. He has a natural and knowledgeable way of describing the poses in detail, while the flow of the class is designed to enhance stretching and muscle tone. Gary moves around the room to help individuals refine their form. The practice moves along, but not too fast, so there is time to settle into each pose. There is an emphasis on breathing techniques, alignment, stretching, and muscle use. It's great for all levels and helps with sore or injured muscles and joints. The Quonny Grange is the perfect place for yoga. Wendy greets and welcomes us with a smile to check us in and answer questions. The studio is warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather and the sound proofing on the ceiling and walls makes it easy to hear instructions. The studio is large with lots of natural light and plenty of space. It has a hardwood floor that is perfect and clean. There is easy access to the props which are also clean. There is a friendly atmosphere as well as professional. It's the best place all around. The workshops are outstanding and the yin yoga class is great for stretching. They have so much to offer. I'm grateful that this program is available to our community. I definitely recommend it to anyone. I'm happy that I found Quonny Yoga and gave it a try - I'm hooked. read more

Quonny Yoga is an amazing yoga experience -- it's great for beginners but also perfect for seasoned, experienced yoga practitioners. The hour and a half classes allow for a total yoga workout. And the focus on deep breathing is the key to an excellent, holistic yoga practice. Beginners can pick up on the breathing patterns right away, while the experienced "up-level" yoga students continually find new ways to connect to deeper breathing. The breathing practice is so useful for reducing stress in everyday life -- and also essential to any physical exercise. Gary is an amazing yoga instructor -- super knowledgeable, clear, helpful, patient, inspiring, and fun! His regular classes are awesome, and everyone leaves feeling her or his best. Gary's private classes are well worthwhile; his individual attention is so valuable and instructive. And the two-hour yoga workshops are incredibly useful. I've been practicing yoga on and off for 20 years. The last few years I have struggled with certain kinds of yoga (power and vinyasa) because of some work-related repetitive overuse injuries. Quonny yoga is safe, healing and can accommodate people in all stages of their practice. Practicing yoga with Gary is such a great experience. The class is designed so each student is given the individual attention and tools to balance and deepen their yoga practice. I damaged my shoulder and was very hesitant to do yoga. When I went to class Gary was very attentive and concerned about my movement and comfort. After a few weeks of gentle yoga and Gary's direction, my shoulder began improving and is now back to normal. Thanks Gary! read more
