I don't know how you come up with the definition of your cord, but the definition is 8 ft long 4 ft high 4 ft deep stacked wood if you take those dimensions. 96x 48x 48 equals 221,184 ÷ 1728 = 128 cubic feet My wood see photos of the wood stacked 78" Tall x 66" Wide x 32" Deep = 164,736 ÷ 1728 = 95.3 Not even 3/4 of a cord of wood We have purchased from this company in the past and when we were shorted before, they have always made it good by delivering more wood. This year they were not willing to make it right. You take a look at the photos and tell me if that is stacked wood per the definition of a cord of wood I would not recommend this company in the future based off of the poor customer service. read more

I have used their Expensive services for years now but now no more. This year I purchased mixed wood and when I used the heavier pieces, the smell would be chemical, smoke burning black and neighbors would rush to my home to make sure the house was not on fire. I called to notify company, they said they do not treat the wood and would come check it out. They never came. I used another piece today to see if the problem is universal and the same thing happened. Both times, I was sick with headache and physiological reaction. Something that I wanted them to know about in case customers with sensitivities get exposed. I called them again today to inquire and again notify. Rather than provide apologies, they report attempts to notify the one person who is capable of responding. No response was had and no refund was offered. I know that these are hard times for everyone but please be accountable when you offer a product to customers. Our community should not tolerate this type of negligence. I was sold a cord of oak firewood for my elderly family member who constantly runs cold due to bone cancer. It was tough to get the initial delivery scheduled. They sold us a product that wasn't in stock and processed payment immediately after confirmation of delivery even though they didn't have the order. Very poor communication and customer service. They rescheduled delivery a week out from our cancelled delivery date (now three weeks out from purchase) without coordinating with our schedule. They also were tough to contact when we called and unresponsive to emails (Krista J. was the person who placed the order with no follow up). When we did finally get in contact with Krista she blamed the crew outdoors instead of apologizing, accepting accountability and trying to keep us as customers. We thought we found a reliable local company to get our wood deliveries from but are very disappointed with the poor customer service, poor communication and the company not coming through as expected. read more

I initially reviewed five stars. I should have tried burning the wood before I reviewed it. I hate leaving reviews like this but it's a little frustrating when you spend $100 on firewood, go and pick it up and load it yourself. You come home to find that IT WON'T BURN. I purchased the red oak, which was the most expensive option recommended to me for it's "long burn". They advertise that their wood has been seasoned for a year. The wood seems moist and even when BLASTING the gas on the wood, it still won't catch and stay lit. I have $100 worth of firewood that doesn't want to burn. I keep the wood indoors right next to the fireplace, so there really isn't a reason why it wouldn't burn. I noticed that the wood was stored outside, and it's recently rained so it may have been rained on. I had to go buy wood from the hardware store, while expensive, it burns a lot better. read more

I called their office last week. I kept forgetting to call, and ended up calling about a half hour after they close. I expected to reach their voicemail, but was pleasantly surprised to have them pick up the call. I placed an order for a half cord of mix wood. They were able to get it out just a few days later. The gentlemen arrived right on time. The pile was pretty darn big. I'm not an expert on firewood, but I think its at least a half cord if not a bit more. The wood is nice sized pieces. Very dry. I just did my first fire with it. I figured the big pieces would take a bit to get lit; but I was wrong. I had my gas pipe on for about one minute, and it already seemed to be burning well. I shut off the gas, and it just continued to build. I currently have a nicely built fire warming the house. Very happy, and will definitely buy more when this pile runs low. read more

I just called and spoke with Inga who offered the best customer service I've received in years. She was very knowledgable in her product and confident when answering my questions. Honestly, I was more impressed with her than the free delivery anywhere in Ventura. She even gave me a coupon AND was able to discount a charge since I needed it unloaded to a specific spot in my backyard. I hope the mixture of different wood fits my needs and I was appreciative that she allowed me to mix Eucalyptus and pine-avocado mix for easy, long burning outdoor fires. :D So far, I'm very stoked and my delivery was scheduled for the very time I need it tomorrow!
