They were pretty relaxed and didn't really seem like they wanted to sell me a motorcycle. Maybe just inept. Maybe the place is filing bankruptcy, and they really don't care about selling bikes anymore. I've found this to be helpful, as the cars are always where they say they are. Zero gate fee if you're military, and that's a cool bonus. Saves you a few bucks every visit.

I'm used to places where they have a shack, a turnstile and you give some guy a couple bucks to go in. ISA has a large, spacious, air conditioned structure with a professional staff that is ready to point you in the direction of the vehicle you need. Speaking of which, finding the vehicles you're looking for couldn't be easier! There is signage! Honest-to-god signage that says things like "Ford Trucks" rather than "Domestic Truck / Van / Car." The yard is tidy, with nicely raised vehicles and without the flotsam and jetsam of discarded parts that normally litters the ground. Also, free of charge, they make wheel barrows available for you. How awesome is that?! Anyone who's lugged their toolbox around and then tried to figure out how they're going to get the parts they need up to the counter can agree that this idea works. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The prices are good (for salvage parts, anyway) and the availability of vehicles is pretty decent. When I picked up the vehicle, my total came to $1,806.92 -- about $500 more than the original quote. I was never contacted to approve any additional repairs or charges. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed I was charged for a part that was never installed. It took five days of contacting the owner to get $135 refunded for that item. I also noticed I was billed $300 for a part that costs around $145 at Advance Auto Parts. When I asked for clarification about the additional $500 beyond the original quote, I was told to speak with the shop manager. The manager is the one who authorized the charges in question, and I never received a clear explanation. The repair involved a timing chain and camshaft gear -- a common issue on this vehicle. While the car is now running properly, the lack of communication, additional unapproved charges, and billing for a part that wasn't installed made this a frustrating experience. I don't mind paying for quality work. I do mind being charged more than agreed without authorization and having to chase down a refund for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
