Not only is the staff friendly and efficient - more about that in a minute - they are so helpful. I wanted to choose a new look but didn't want to invest in a graphic designer. I was shown a huge book of samples to choose from and within no time, we designed a card together. By the next day my cards were ready and what is even more spectacular, they marked the date on the box. I asked why and the answer - so when you want to reorder, just tell us the date you had them originally printed and we'll get reprint from the original order. You can't get better service than that!

Basically, having to choose a printer when already on a tight timeline meant turning to the internet for some recommendations which then led me to Halcraft on Robie. In the short few days that they worked on my project, there was just so much right going on. I could immediately tell they were happy to work to complement my style instead of forcing me into theirs. When I called, they called back. When I switched to email, they switched to email. When I threw a whole bunch of details their way in no particular order, they took what they needed out of it instead of insisting I fill out a form or speak their language. It made getting through the initial details a breeze and easily days faster than any other shop I've worked with. Plus, they weren't afraid to help me make choices when I really didn't know what I was talking about. Other shops have insisted I come in to leaf through their stock and make a choice - Halcraft asked what I was using each piece for and made recommendations for each based on my budget, saving me money wherever possible (i.e. 'you know you can save $80 by doing the cuts yourself, right?'). Proofs came a day or two later than I expected but then my entire job was finished the next day rather than a portion and the rest following the next week which is what I was told would happen. It was a nice touch to have that happy surprise to finish off the week!

They had used a different process than usual so they replaced all the Tshirts and had to make special arrangements to get the right sizes and get them to me in time. We quickly make some excellent choices for gift wrap and ribbon, and he properly suggested that I have a cup of coffee across the street while they took care of the four packages I brought in. They were friendly, courteous, and easy-going and they are also efficient in the Gift wrapping. When I came back from my coffee, they rang my order up, and I was surprised that the cost of the wrapping and the paper was minimal. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a gift wrapping or stationary or candles or writing instruments. It's a very nice neat, cozy and friendly place to shop. Normally I get cards at Sweet Jane's, but I wanted a non-joke one, and one that was hopefully locally made. It's a small shop with a a few racks of cards, and an impressive amount of stationery fit into the space. There also seemed to be a wedding invitation consult going on at the time. The selection of cards spanned lots of events, although I just ended up going with a cute one with a blank interior. Most, if not all, of the cards seem to locally made, so if you'd rather your $4-5 for a card go to a local shop and artists instead of Hallmark (and you should), hit up Duly Noted! PS.
