The food here is all small plates. Since there were 4 of us, we ordered quite a few. Some favorites were the Pork Belly Tacos, Steak Tacos, Chicken Salad Sliders, and the Steak A La Plancha. Together, with nice glasses of wine, this was an excellent dinner! The restaurant is off the beaten path from downtown and parking on the street is easy. As for the food, it was prepared well and appeared to be enjoyed by many in our group. Several people complimented their meals and seemed very satisfied. For me personally, the menu offerings and flavors were simply not the type of food I typically prefer. That's a matter of personal taste rather than food quality. Overall, I had a positive experience with the venue and service, but the cuisine was not quite my style. For that reason, I would give The Sanctuary on 25th a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This place is absolutely incredible. I've never been to a cigar shop like it! The recliners, the 70" TVs, the beers(!!!!) and premium bourbon...oh my! I came in last week for the Tennessee game to get my victory cigars and ended up staying the rest of the night watching football! It was AWESOME. I met the owner (I forget his name) young guy and awesome. Showed me around and helped me find my perfect victory cigar! I was blown away by the customer service of the owner seeing as they had 4 different registers open that he took the time to help me and I had never been in before! World class establishment. Tuscaloosa is fortunate to have this place. I'm from Tampa the KING of cigar cities and none of the places have anything close to this! Enjoy it Tuscaloosa! Spacious smoking areas with ample and supple leather seating inside and an immense wrap around porch with an inviting allure to sit and ponder life in any season. The cigar selection is prolific and eclectic for the most discerning purist as well for those just begining in their journey of becoming a true aficianado. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable in all smokes and accoutrements. Family owned and operated with a desire meet customer service needs and no one is a stranger. R&R Cigars has moved to 2703 6th St in Tuscaloosa. This is the historic Maxwell House. We can't get Yelp to change our address. It's only about 2 blocks from the address still being shown. We've placed some new pictures here. The rooms are bigger. The air management is better. The new veranda is larger and fully covered. You need to come and see it. The move took place on May 30. Alas, R&R 1.0 is slated for destruction the week of June 24. Sad to see her go. But, bigger and better things are in store at this grand new location. read more

One of the best B&M's I have ever dealt with. Rock bottom prices hat can't be beat. Reagan's blind samplers are the best in the business. One thing I know about Reagan is that he is passionate about everything he does In life, so ignore the negative reviews. Stop in and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Hands down the best customer service you will see from a cigar shop, with great selection and pricing to boot. Can't beat R&R imho. read more

We were surprised when the food arrived at the bar in cardboard "to go" style boxes. ??? (The bar food comes from a related take-out place next door.). The food was good but the wings were very small (sparrow wings?) and the onion rings were disappointing as rings go - over cooked, breading crumbly and greasy. Alabama won the game clinching yet another SEC-West title. The place erupted in cheers and the bar cranked up Sweet Home Alabama which got everyone singing. Five stars for the ambience and service but three for the food. Hey, it's a sports bar, so I wasn't expecting a super gastronomic experience. Lots of spirit and energy on game day. The Houndstooth rocks. Roll Tide!!

I did appreciate watching the bartender make the drink, as they obviously had great expertise behind the bar. My biggest complaint was that the drink was about 6 oz and cost me $15. I work at a very busy bar here in Tuscaloosa, and I can understand being annoyed, but saying something like that in front of customers coming into your establishment is so incredibly gross. I had an offer to work here and this completely turned me off I will not be coming back.

She just walked off then brought back an identical cup of liquid cream.... Again no words. It would have been fine if she had said "it looks like this one is pretty liquidy as well. Sorry about that not sure what's going on with the sour cream" or "actually our sour cream is more like a crema". Instead I just had to wait to be brought back the exact same consistency of sour cream. Just very weird. Mind you we are the only ones there eating at this time. There are maybe two other couples playing on the course so it's not like it was busy. We went on a Tuesday afternoon. As we played, on the screen they advertised a happy hour Mondays-Thursday 3:00-6:00. It was Tuesday at 3:05. We tried to order said happy hour just to be met yet again with blank stares and then after they went to the back then came back to the front, we were told that's not available at college town locations .... Okay that's fine but why would it be advertised here at this location?? Was it enjoyable? Yes but mostly because of the company. Do I think it's worth the price? During the day I'd say no.
