Drinks: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I highly recommend this place is you're visiting campus from out of town! We came to Tuscaloosa for the Ole Miss game and heard a ton about the Yellow Hammer. We decided to swing on in to check it out and we were not let down! $20 cover that let us in and out all day which was to be expected for a pretty hyped up game. The yellow hammer was delicious and not too expensive. The service was very quick and friendly despite how packed the bar become during the day. There was plenty of room to move around and a decent amount of seating. Plenty of TVs to watch was happening with other games and they had College Game Day playing on the big screen. Everyone there was extremely friendly despite our group being decked out head to toe in Ole Miss gear. Our overall experience here was great and we will definitely be back next time we visit Tuscaloosa.

Came here to sip on the Yellowhammers before Bama rolled Ole Miss! The place was packed but there was still plenty of room to roam around and post up to chat.

Speakers broken and had to pay 10$ cover when there were 5 people here . 32 oz vodka sour was great though

Not appreciating being ignored and passed on by long haired. brunette bartender who blantantly ignored me when I was at an open spot and in line before anyone else who saddled up to the bar. I guess she doesn't know about customer service and being a nice person. College bar. Too bad. (Homecoming night as well)

A must stop in TTown on game day! Home of the yellow hammer, true tradition. It's always crowded but that is part of the experience, embrace it and enjoy. Roll tide!

It's been a few years since my last visit, but back when I worked closer to downtown, this place was a weekly (sometimes twice-a-week) lunch ritual. Man, this spot is awesome for lunch! Now, if you try to come on a weekend--good luck. The place is packed to the gills, and the folks lined up outside aren't there for the turnip greens, if you catch my draft, I mean drift. They're here for the other "festivities"... the bar. But let's talk food. Whether you're circling your favorite meat and three combo or grabbing something off their regular menu, you can't go wrong. Their meat and three is like stepping straight into Granny's kitchen on a cool October Sunday afternoon. I went with the country fried steak, Caesar salad, fried okra, turnip greens, and--because I'm not a quitter--a helping of blackberry cobbler. Every bite was fantastic. My wife went with the fried catfish, paired with black-eyed peas, fried okra, and of course, the same irresistible blackberry cobbler to top it off. Her meal was every bit as delicious as mine (not that I didn't try to sneak a bite or two for quality assurance purposes). The background music today was a dose of pop, with Ingrid Michaelson's The Way I Am setting a nice, mellow vibe--pretty fitting for a lunch date with my wife. Soft and pleasant... though, if I'm being honest, I'd trade Ingrid for a little Metallica or any one of those glorious 80s hair bands in a heartbeat. Nothing says "meat and three" like a little Pour Some Sugar on Me, right? These days, a meal I used to enjoy weekly has become a rare treat, but today's visit reminded me why I loved it so much. The outdoor seating is perfect for a crisp fall or breezy spring day, TVs are plastered all around so you won't miss your favorite team (Roll Tide, of course), and there's even a pool table if you're feeling like hustling a game or two. The lunch staff is fast and friendly, and if you haven't experienced this Tuscaloosa gem, do yourself a favor and step inside for their lunch menu. Just maybe leave the late-night crowd to the younger folks--they've got more energy (and stronger eardrums) for that scene than I do!

Glad we did, I ordered the fish and chips, they were hot and good. The chips were waffle fries and really good too. They had one huge plus going for them, angry orchard on tap!!!!!! Took a few minutes before our waitress came by but after that she was spot on!!! All in all a great place to unwind at the end of the day!

We came here for drinks (and a bull ride) after eating dinner and that is when we stumbled across their nitrogen-infused drink menu! I got one with fireball, I think it was called a cinnamon apple pie drink or something like that, and honestly it wasn't very good, but they infused a lot of nitrogen, so it sizzled all over the place, which made it very fun to drink. Several people asked me what drink I had ordered because they wanted the same thing. Then we tried the fruitier ones and they tasted better, the Harley was my personal favorite because it was so peachy and flavorful. As the night went on and the bar got busier, they stopped infusing the drinks with nitrogen, which was disappointing because they're advertised as being full of nitrogen. I loved the vibe of this place, it's a country dive bar within walking distance from several other locations, making it easy to pop in here unexpectedly. There were a couple live bands the night we came: the first couple weren't the best, but the last one was energetic and charismatic and got a great response from the crowd. They also have a mechanical bull and offer to rides for $5, so we each rode a couple times. Earlier in the night they took it pretty easy on us, but as the crowd grew, the rides tended to be shorter (luckily I had figured out the proper way to ride by this point lol). I absolutely loved my experience at Rhythm & Brews. We stopped by here just to ride the mechanical bull and ended up staying for about 7 hours... If that doesn't tell you what we thought of the place, I don't know what will!
