One star. The owner's attitude can barely be contained in one building. He treated us with disrespect from the get-go as if we were there to steal, an older couple, on a first, and I assure you, only visit. The prices are high and I would never give this guy my money. He had no regard for potential patrons and acted like he had things no one else had, which I assure you he does not. We have been in rock shops all over the world and this one is not one I would suggest you patronize. His assistant knew little but was willing to admit it which I guess I should admire, mustn't be easy to work with this egomaniac. Avoid! He never showed any negativity at all to any of the ones that were in the store at the time I was there. His products were great, the crystals, gems and jewelry were all beautiful pieces. Incredible semi precious stones, crystals and beads...I found some of the most unusual beads here. I was treated with kindness and respect and the owner answered all the questions I had which were a lot. I found the prices to be regular retail for most things and a little high on the semi precious. This is one of my all time crystal shops. The owner up and quit his secure job in the software industry to open this shop and pursue his passion for gems. He is very knowledgeable about gemstones, and even sells some crystal rock clusters that he himself mined! The prices are fair and there are large tables of smaller stones that are very affordable. He includes little informational print outs for the stones you purchase, so you can remember what their properties are. I highly recommend visiting R & T! read more

When I need my spirits lifted I shop at R&T's. My granddaughter hovers over the specimen tables while I wander the rooms of sparkling, colorful beads. In bead weaving, it's important the beads are of quality and consistency. I was so tired of rooting through the selections offered at big chain store beading departments. This shop never lets me down. I can always find just the right thing for my project from beads, cords, and threads to quality findings and cute little charms. The owner is there to suggest options and even solved the problem of my diminishing eyesight by pointing me toward the most wonderful lighted magnifying lamp! I agree with the other review that the owner is truly knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable. Great selection of interesting objects and beautiful stones and beads. He also gets in some nice estate jewelry (one of the best birthday presents I ever got came from this store). My husband shops here frequently and buys crystals to give as presents. The recipients always love them. I stopped in a few weeks ago; the service was great, and everyone was really nice and helpful even though at one point I told a questionable anecdote and also noticed after I left that I had dribbled ice cream on my shirt. The owner was unbelievably rude, surly and argumentative. He also made several snide comments to me for no reason. It was really quite odd behaviour for someone who wants to sell you something and I would have told him where to go if I wasn't there with a friend. Nobody needs this kind of negativity and hostility. This store is definitely NOT RECOMMENDED. read more
