Was a cute local place. We sat on the restaurant side. There is a bar side also. Our server was fabulous. She was right there with all the answers and a refill on the drinks. We had an appetizer of mushrooms and cheese curds. They were ok. We order the fish dinner #1. With a sample of most of the fish. It was all good but the beer batter was so much tastier. The crab soup no go do not get it. 5 of us sample it and all agree. The corn fritters were ok. The potato pancakes now there is a win. They are probably the closest to my dad's. As I can get. Great place. Went for fish fry. The place is small but cute inside. The service was very friendly, treat you like you are at their house. I got the breaded cod with corn fritters and my husband got the beer battered cod with potato pancakes. The fish was great. Both types were tender and cooked perfect. The potato pancakes were to die for and they came with a good amount of homemade applesauce. The corn fritters were different. They were good, not what I expected. They have a lot of choices for sides. The amount of fish you get is great. I consider my husband to be a pretty large eater and this is the first fish fry he couldn't finish. Wow, oh wow! Had the Friday fish fry, beer battered cod with potato pancakes, homemade applesauce, coleslaw and rye bread for only $11.00. This plate was heaping that could easily feed two people and the quantity was surpassed the taste. They also offer many other fish options with your choice of how it's prepared. Such a cute place! We were in Silver Lake for our niece's horse show and wanted to get lunch before going to the Walworth County Fair. Saw the Packer sign and had to stop. Glad we did. Great food, huge portions and very reasonable prices. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and so were the other patrons. I had the fish sandwich and fries and could only eat half - it was huge and the fish was very fresh and fried perfectly. Fries could have been a little crispier for my taste, but were still good. My husband had the special cheddar brat wrapped in bacon with a side of potato salad - what's not to love? We will be back when we're up that way again this Fall. read more

Rude bartender. Didn't get her name but was tall, skinny and blond hair. Bar wasn't busy but we had to wait almost 10 minutes for a drink while she chewed her gum and flirted with some guy. Then gave us an attitude when we didn't tip her. Never even looked our way after that. Had one drink and left. Would have liked to like this place since we've heard good things but won't be giving it another try. read more

Update: Staff is super friendly and food was delivered quickly on a busy Friday night fish fry. Ordered the combo for 2. The fish was overcooked. My 8 year old even noticed. For whatever reason, they no longer have the clam chowder. I like the bar. The food outside of fish fry night is good. For $31.50, though, I shouldn't have to throw away 2/3rds of the meal. Think we will try somewhere else for fish fry from now on as it's 50/50 if the fish fry is going to be good enough to eat. read more

Home of the $10.00 burger. the packer burger was listed on the menu as 7.75.(already outrageous) but when the bill was presented the charge was $10.00. when asked about the difference the snarky reply was "ya..there is a charge for the lettuce onion tomato and mayo" unbelievable! Thank god I did not get the pickle! The rude bartender also told us that my mom could not share one of her shrimp from her all you can eat shrimp basket. REALLY??? Biggest rip off in Silver Lake! I did give them 1 star because the shared shrimp was tasty..but maybe it was so good because it was forbidden...best advice turn right and eat at the dairy queen! read more
