It ended up Tachibana Painting came in at the best price, and when thinking back, we did use them in 2010 ish, when we repainted the house exterior for the first time. Also when we repainted our downstairs interior when we remodeled. James came within 2 days from when I sent a message on their website to do a quote. Had to have some window trims removed due to the carpenter bees burrowing into them, have some decorative roof beams replaced (dry rot), and a few areas patched. No problem - they have people that can do it all, in addition to the painting. Then within a day and a half of the visit, I got a written quote via email, along with the warranty if we choose to do the work with them. Had the weather cooperated, it probably would've taken about a week; from the initial power washing, to re-grouting the seams, the carpentry work, then priming and painting 2 coats. But Mililani being Mililani, it rained and the work dragged on a bit, but something the workers can't control. So overall, a good job and would definitely use them again!

Whatever got loose jammed the latch assembly such that no matter which direction I turned the knob I could not get the latch assembly to retract. Consequently, the door was locked in the closed direction with no way to get into the bathroom. I called One Stop Rooftop and spoke to Paul explaining the problem I had. He sent Marty and Kai and in 5 minutes he had the door open by loosening the trim enough to slide a flat bar and un-engage the latch assembly. Marty knew what he was doing and had everything restored back to normal and caulked all the gaps. What a wonderful, quick, and straight to the cause of the problem. My apartment had recently suffered multiple unidentified leaks this past year that has been a…read morenightmare to navigate. I first messaged Mike and other candidates in 2025 when I was gathering quotes for an insurance claim that ultimately got denied. It was very clear that Mike and the team have great workmanship from the photos - this is coming from someone who's seen great drywall work and extremely poor work that I could do better myself. I could tell right off the bat that these were the guys I wanted to work with. The proof was in the "mudding" as I changed scope to account for materials, budget, level 4-5 finish, and paint finish quality. Having to pay out of pocket for an expense I anticipated someone else to cover was a bit of a concern for my wallet. Mike was patient with me and we worked out a price we could agree on by removing items from the scope that might still been in good condition and limiting the amount of work that needed to be done on a bump-out wall next to my shower. John texted me soon after we agreed to move forward and scheduled the work for the following week. He also suggested a change in material (DensShield) from what I had originally requested (blueboard) and I am so grateful to have skilled/experienced teammates to work with that really know what they're doing. Day 1 was demolition, hanging, and mudding. John was finished and out before lunch and I could already tell that the quality of work was spectacular. You couldn't even tell the ceiling was repaired because it was blended in perfectly with the surrounding area. The bump-out wall was looking way better than it was even prior to the water damage. We left the fan on throughout the day and overnight to let the hot mud dry out. Day 2 was sanding, priming, and painting. Fortunately, I purchased and stored paint that was specific to my bathroom from a previous repair and had it at the ready this time around as well. Honestly, when I first discovered the leak, I originally planned to fix it myself so I also had a brand new container of primer. I'm pretty satisfied with the work, especially with the DensShield suggestion and installation in both affected areas to account for future leaks. I didn't know such product existed and the workmanship mudding a material such as DensShield and it essentially coming out nearly flawless is pretty impressive. Overall, I would give Mike's team a solid 9/10. Prompt responses, flexibility in materials/scope, and great quality of work. The quote, as some have mentioned is on the higher side compared to other candidates I'd spoken with, but I learned the last time that you get what you pay for. Could I have gotten it cheaper? 100%. Would it have come out as good? Not sure. The last guy I hired at maybe half the price got the job done, but clearly not done well and that's what got me in this predicament, SO... don't cheap out if you can help it - especially for a bathroom or high-moisture/high-risk area. I'm certain I'll be working with Mike and the team in the future and there are no regrets here as compared to my last drywall adventure. Thank you Mike & John for your patience and hard work.

They painted our…read more5,000 SF east Oahu stucco home in 7 days including pressure washing and 3 coats (primer and 2 topcoats). They scheduled us months earlier (because when you are good, people will wait for you), and they started on the exact day they promised. They showed up every morning at 7 and brought everything they needed, including their own scaffolding. It is not easy work, but they are machines. On the last day it was incredibly windy / gusty, but they managed to finish the project even though much of it was from scaffolding and on the windy side of the house. They removed hose reels, masked light fixtures and windows, shielded landscaping, painted our gutters and downspouts, and cleaned up at the end of the day. You will not find easier-going, nicer guys. That's probably why you will also not find anybody else that does what they do for as long as they've done it with ALL 5 Star reviews.
