house paint estimate. Roger came at the appointed time. scoped the exterior of the house to be painted. advised to have certain areas of wood rot to be repaired before painting. Also, pointed out moisture damage coming from the roof and have a roof inspection which I did. I have not received an estimate yet. Most likely because repairs should be done 1st. He said his estimate will be good for 3 mo. A&R is the only paint company that showed out of 3 other companies from yelp. I know I should get 2 more estamates but if no-one shows I will feel comfortable with A&R. Roger was very informative and took time to check over the exterior. Fast, easy and hard workers! Our family is thrilled with the work done by A&R Painting. Our Mililani Mauka home looks clean and beautifully new thanks to Roger (Rogelio) and his crew! I put out a request for free estimates to over 15 painters on Oahu and ultimately got more than 7 cost estimates. A&R Painting responded on the same day of the request. After a few message back and forth on time, he responded with a confirmation message. Great communication! On the day of the estimate, Rogelio arrived a few minutes early and waited in the car to come to our front door right on time, did a thorough walk around, asked us good questions, answered all our questions and provided us a formal written quote on the spot. The pricing was affordable; however, it did take a few weeks for all the quotes to come in *and* for association *and* sub-association design approvals. Throughout that period, A&R continued to promptly answer questions about painting and waited patiently for our decision to select a painter (no pressure). Rogelio even offered to work with our association to help with the approval process. Once all the approvals came in, we selected Rogelio because of his responsiveness, professionalism, and reasonable pricing. We notified Rogelio and he scheduled us quickly, and completed the entire two-story house, power-washing, caulking, priming and two coats of finish (three different colors) all in TWO DAYS of work. The work was polished. He was careful to clear the area of our belongings, protect what could not be moved away (like covering up the gates) and also cleaned up any splatter or stray paint that got away. He took extra time to go over the house several times to ensure quality. He also stayed while we did a once over the home. A&R Painting was very easy and pleasant to work with. A little disappointing. Called and left a message, asking if I could get my ceiling floated and painted. Roger called back, asking me if someone called his number. I guess this is his personal number and not a business number, which is fine, but It kind of threw me off and made the start of the conversation awkward. He obviously hadn't listened to the message I had left. I told him about the work I needed done. He asked for the square footage. I gave it to him. He then asked me if the unit was occupied or unoccupied. I said, "Occupied, then he said he couldn't do the work, and that was it. End of discussion. I was surprised it was such a quick call with no other details asked. I am occupying the unit, but it's empty because I know I need some renovation and fixes done. I also have a friend who I can stay with during future repairs, but oh well. It just didn't feel like a professional call at all. read more

He and his crew were so professional and did such an amazing job. I was a little concerned that this was too good to be true but everything about Rogelio and his crew was first class and very professional. Rogelio always promptly replied to my emails and texts and answered all my questions. They did a thorough cleaning job, sealed everything, primed and painted 3 colors (actually 4 with the ceiling of the entryway and patio). They were careful with the gutters and windows, masking for over-spray. They even covered the neighbor's car. I had a GREAT experience with Roger and A&R painting! I found and messaged him (thru Yelp) late Saturday evening and he responded within an hour. By 9am the next day he was at my house taking measurements and I had a quote that Monday. All communication with Roger was super easy. He responded quickly to emails and always answered my calls. I got three quotes to paint the interior of my home. His was one of the cheapest, he was available the soonest, and would take the least amount of time to do it. From start to finish, I was deeply impressed by the performance of Roger and his team. He arrived early to assess the job, submitted a competitive estimate the same day, and promised that he could start the job immediately if selected. When he indicated that he could complete the interior painting project (1607 sq. ft.) in two days, I was quite shocked. Every other bid suggested 6-8 days. Sure enough, when I hired Roger, he completed the entire interior of my house in 1 and 1/4 days. When I drove out (from my primary home) to inspect his work, it was perfect! The colors were exactly as I had chosen; the work was detailed down to the baseboard painting, and the popcorn ceiling was sprayed evenly in pure white! The house was gorgeous.
