Well it's no longer back in the day so I cruised the mall at lunchtime on a weekday! (wut up *gang sign*) At present, being lunchtime on a weekday, the parking lot is less than 20% full so park like a dork and take up three spaces with your nifty Honda if you want. Short walk to the front doors and there's an automatic slide door on the right as you enter the main set of doors. Service was fine. There's an Apple store for the fruity folks and trust me when I say go on a weekday at lunch time for no wait. It's true. Selection is getting thinner and thinner. Amazon is winning the war and it shows. Value...was there ever really a value coming to the mall? Delinquent youths aside, the value was partially social when this existed as an actual destination. And trust me, you can find it cheaper on Amazon...delivered to your door.

From Daiso to Bath and Body Works to Ulta to Old Navy, that pretty much sums up all of my shopping needs in one place. I like that all of the stores are still clean and not trashed yet. Maybe because no one really frequents here yet but I hope they stay clean and new unlike the Old Navy and Ulta on Laguna Blvd. There is a great variety of restaurants too. They're not 4-star, sit-down-with-a-menu type restaurants but I like all the options while I need a break from shopping. Also, as I'm writing this, there are Holidays decorations around the complex. I LOVE that. It's a nice touch to get you in the Christmas mood.

Some stores are pricey and others are fairly reasonable. I love Tastea so I'm glad it's located here too. I do still need to check out It's Sushi. There are plenty of public parking lots with two that I know of on J Street, L Street and 3rd Street entrances that validate at restaurants and some stores in DOCO. Some validate for 2 hours, some for 90 minutes to cushion the total cost of parking. I have always loved this area in downtown Sacramento.

We stopped into a few stores, but weren't overly impressed with the deals and selection at many of them. It was still fun to shop around though. There's a good variety of stores from Nike and Adidas, to Hot Topic, gaming stores, a coffee shop, perfume, options for kids and more. I like that they bring in local options that add variety to the shopping and dining. I would go back if I had time to kill in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit specifically for the outlets.

Plenty of parking unless it's during peak times. There's a mailer that goes out to the neighborhood that updates us on the activities. They keep this center very clean. I always see someone pushing a large trash bin and sweeping. ( Shame on those folks who throw their trash out!! ). It's nice to have a thriving neighborhood shopping center. While you won't find discount department stores here, they make up for it with specialty merchandise that you may not find anywhere else. The shops are neat and clean, with pleasant atmospheres. Employees are friendly, polite and acknowledging when we enter the door. While I have to admit that as I grow older and on a fixed income, shopping in general is losing it's luster, this place lights a romantic spark as to what classy shopping is all about!
