I hate how a majority of the reviews for this store are bad. F*ck all the haters, this is a solid place to shop! Been a regular for about a year now and everyone there is super helpful, friendly, and if they don't know something they are sure to either look up the answer or recommend something else. I've only had one problem with a purchase and it was an honest mistake that anyone would make. The people who leave bad reviews have obviously never worked in retail. If they did, they'd be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves. Expecting perfect service from a smoke shop is stupid and unfair to the staff. This is the kind of store where you go in, get what you want, and get out! That being said, I love to swing by here after a long week and get some goodies. They have a nice selection of edibles and seltzers that skirt the strict bans the city has on THC and Delta-9 products. Also, the incense sticks are sold at such a great deal and smell really good. Came in to this location on a whim while in the area with a friend. There is no dedicated parking lot, but there is street parking. Employees are so friendly. They seem to be well stocked on all of their inventory. Everything is neat, clean and well organized. read more

I love the Ra Shop as an addition to Oak. They have tons if cool little Knick knacks, water pipes, papers, cigarettes, clothing and cool stuff for decorating your man caves and doom rooms (i.e. Black lights, posters). The usually have a ton of cute hippie chic sun dresses, which is really why I really frequent this store. But, I have looked at some of their other, um, products, and they have a wide selection and all seem competitively priced. They also have this fantasic at least as tall as me (and I'm kinda tall) hooka in the window. The sales people are cool, they will get whatever you need and are friendly about it. They also supports the WWOZ livewire every afternoon which gets a few cool points in my book. No one under 18 allowed. read more

SCAM REWARDS PROGRAM. The Ra Shop is very unfriendly to patrons from out of town. They have a rewards program that offers $5 off when you spend $100... That seems cool but it actually stinks. I spend a lot of money there so in order to take advantage of the rewards program I have to get rung up 3 or 4 different times to take ad vantage of the program. It's a horrible customer experience. They are over priced and it is a royal pain to collect the rewards. I'd rather have fair pricing or a quantity discount without the scam rewards program. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE I went to the Slidell store to purchase a pax3, when I got there I asked the sales girl what the difference is between the pax2 and the pax3. She said the only difference is that the pax3 has a wax cartridge and the pax2 does not. Well this was a gift for someone and I know he doesn't have wax so I went with the pax2. A friend went the next day and asked the same question about the differences. She was told that along with the wax that the pax3 has a ten year warranty and the pax2 only has a two year warranty. That warranty is huge and would have definitely been a deciding factor. So I went back to exchange the pax2 for the pax3 and was told no. The product is brand new, I have my receipt and I was given wrong information. I will never shop there again and I encourage everyone to avoid that place. Jokes on them, my credit card is disputing the charge and I was assured that it won't be paid. read more

Never shop @ the RaShop! Worst customer service ever. I purchased a $699 volcano hybrid and when I got home I found out that it was missing pieces that renders this machine inoperable. So I returned less than 24hrs later with my receipt and the manager told me "there's nothing she can do" and now I've been been robbed of $700 by the RaShop! These people knowing that neighborhood pets used the common alley behind their store, purposely put out rat poison that killed a dog that was the mascot of business next door to the building. When notified they still refused to remove the poison. Animal Lovers get your head shop products somewhere else. read more

In exploring near my new neighborhood Uptown I had the pleasure of visiting this shop. It is so different and has so many odd things that it is worth a visit even if you are not a smoker. And if you are they are the place to go for your smoking needs. One thing that is difficult to find is Butane Gas for those fancy dancy lighters that are used to get a cigar on fire. This place has a variety of them at different price levels. The ambiance of the store is wonderful. The products are varied and interesting. But above all of that is the old fashioned customer service you receive by the staff. Another reason to visit the Oak St. area for what makes New Orleans New Orleans. read more

Knowingly placed rat poison in a shared alley that killed a well known and loved neighborhood dog. When asked about the poison, they shrugged it off. They're covering their butts now with apologies but that does not erase what happened or bring back the poor dog. read more

Bought a waterpipe and it broke after one use (not my fault- faulty/cheaply made) and they were such jerks about it. Sold me a crappy piece. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED. Most of its stuff is over priced and not the best brands. Will never be returning. read more

They sold me a defective $10 part. When I expressed concern about it they assured and reassured that it would work. I later found it to be defective, but upon returning to the store they told me that it was due to my error, that they would not inspect the piece I purchased, and that they do not offer returns or exchanges. read more

I purchased my first e-cigarette there, a disposable one to try it out. I really liked it so I decided to purchase a rechargeable kit. I was in love with it for one week until the lower half, the battery kept separating. I took it back and received only indifference about the defect. I went back a week later and asked for a replacement or a refund and I was told to go superglue it. Later that day the interior wires broke and I no longer had a working unit. I was disappointed by the staff's indifference to my problem. I explained to them that I was a walking advertisement for the product and their shop, as everywhere I went, like the Earth Day Festival, people approached me to ask about the product and where I purchased it. For two weeks, I had been telling others to go to the Ra Shop and even taking the time to give directions on how to find the store. I'll buy another rechargeable kit somewhere else, but I'll make sure to tell all those curious consumers to avoid the Ra Shop. read more
