I was unsure whether as a non-practicing Jew married to a goy if it was appropriate to reach out to a mohel, but we were welcome with open arms and welcomed to Rabbi Sultan's temple. We had our bris today and it was very clear what we needed to bring, what was going to happen, and the procedure was quick and careful. I felt like I really brought my son to the right mohel once I learned about his technique and the wonder bandage, but the ceremony and warmth towards our family just made the whole experience really beautiful. I felt really proud to be Jewish today and am really happy that I made the choice to not only have a bris rather than just a medical circumcision, but that we found Rabbi Meir Sultan. Oh - and he even took pictures of us and sent them later in the day - all around a wonderful day. Would highly recommend.

The facility was clean. Procedure went smoothly. The staff prepped our son and had a shusher sound machine to play during the procedure. My husband and I were there to sooth our son during the process. Found Dr. Kogen via Yelp and had a fantastic experience. tl;dr: book him…read more I called after finding him to learn more, and possibly schedule an appointment. We were debating between having our newborn's circumcision done by a pediatric urologist or someone else. It appears to be a shrinking industry, and many pediatricians or physicians or other doctors who used to perform the procedure no longer do, and pickings were slim. Dr. Kogen was in touch shortly thereafter, and spent a good ten minutes listening to our concerns, fielding our questions, and putting us at ease with the procedure. He shared enough reading material to answer nearly all our questions, including what to do after the surgery. We opted to have our son's circumcision done at our home, where he was nursed and then very lovingly (but firmly) held by his own parents, and the procedure was over in minutes. Dr. Kogen arrived on time and explained what we could expect to see before, during, and after the procedure. Every few days afterward, he'd call to follow up and field any questions we had, most of which rose from us forgetting or missing a detail he'd gone over, and he was very patient in explaining it to us yet again. We could've driven 60 miles each way to a pediatric urologist, had our son tied to a board away from his parents, but instead, we had the procedure done in the comfort of our own home.

I have a beautiful, healthy 5 year old boy, who met Dr. Kogen when he was just 10 days old. I was referred to him by Nicole Foster of Birthfit Southbay for my son's circumcision. She used his services for her son and gave me some peace of mind regarding the process, and at that time, came to our home (not sure if he does that anymore). We called him, went over the process and immediately felt at ease. When he showed up, he went over the process again, and could tell we were a little nervous...what parent isn't! He assured us that it would be over quickly, and that it's just a matter of comfort and good aftercare to make our little guy feel better. Right before we started Dr. Kogen made a little joke, and I'll never forget how that took the edge off. Thanks again for a beautiful, quick experience. We appreciate you!
