I did months of research and my wife and I definitely wanted to go with someone who did this regularly as opposed to a pediatrician with less frequent procedures and less ideal methods. Rabbi Sultan is as all of the other good reviews say! It almost didn't work out due to scheduling and timing, but he made it work! He came to us, which was a blessing for sure. My son very well, it all looks great, and he healed in the time that Rabbi Sultan said it would. He was efficient, kind, on-time, communicative, and responsive to all messages. I prefer text, so I'm thankful he was willing to communicate like that. As for the procedure, my son didn't really cry because of the snips, it was more because he doesn't like to be strapped in or held down for anything. But that's the same with diaper changes sometimes, etc. it was over before you know it and then he was quickly recovering. Seriously, when Rabbi Sultan tells you that in "X amount of hours" something will happen, it does. I also appreciate that he let me video his aftercare instructions because I needed that. For a person that can over think things, but also this is an important thing to get right, I was like..."how much of the Vaseline do I put on there?" Checked the video and was like "Ah! Got it!" Rabbi Sultan gives a comprehensive pdf with all of the aftercare instructions. Just read it entirely and follow all of the instructions to a "T" and you'll be great. My wife put him in his normal size diaper a little too soon (against the instructions) and he started to develop a little blister. Rabbi Sultan advised not that and the blister quickly went away. Again, just follow his instructions and you'll be good. He obviously has a ton of experience. Some Mohels don't service non-Jewish patrons, but we're thankful that Rabbi Sultan rendered his excellent services to our family. I just hope this review helps shed light on our experience and gives you confidence as you consider the other reviews and options. read more

Rabbi Sultan performed a revision on our son after the hospital botched his initial circumcision. The Rabbi's work was meticulous, the outcome perfect, and we would recommend him to anyone who is considering an initial or revised circumcision. His nature is calm, warm, and understanding. He demonstrates a level of empathy that you'll never get in a doctor's office. He is incredibly responsive and communicates clearly and concisely in a way that you will understand. Above all, he is an expert in the art of circumcision. We are such advocates of Rabbi Sultan and his work, that if we are blessed with a second son we won't bother with the hospital and we will travel to Los Angeles to have him perform the procedure (we live in the SF Bay Area). 10/10 recommend Rabbi Sultan. Additional Context: Our story is similar to many others who have posted here: the hospital messed up the initial circ, our pediatrician said we'd have to wait 12-18 months to revise, our son would be put under general anesthesia to perform surgery, and, as an elective/cosmetic surgery, we would pay out of pocket (upwards of $10K+). My wife and I were not okay with any of this. Desperate for a solution a friend of mine recommended a mohel. My wife and I are not Jewish and weren't even sure this option was available to us. We researched, we found Rabbi Sultan, and we reached out. Rabbi Sultan responded quickly and opened up his schedule to perform the revision. We spoke to him on a Friday, and Monday morning we were at his temple in Burbank performing the procedure. (**I've noted from other reviewers that he often makes house-calls, but we do not live in LA and drove down from SF Bay to visit him**) The temple was clean, welcoming, and beautiful. The actual procedure took ~20 min and was pretty intense. My son, who was 4-weeks old at the time, screamed in pain. I was with him while my wife waited in the car. As a parent it felt impossibly hard to endure his pain, however I had faith in Rabbi Sultan's ability and kept the "why" in mind to help me get through it. Five minutes after the revision was complete it was like nothing happened. Our son was calm and nursing with momma. The after care instructions that Rabbi Sultan provided were clear and simple. After two weeks our son's penis looked incredible and the outcome better than we (or our pediatrician) could have expected (especially after how botched it was). Final note: our pediatrician was speechless when she saw Rabbi Sultan's work. It was beyond her comprehension that there could have been a better option than a pediatric urologist.
