I'm giving this dealership and salesman, Trevin, every bit of 5 stars. I wasn't able to buy a new…read moreTelluride like I wanted, unfortunately. However, he and all the others at Sterling Kia in Lafayette, La. bent over backwards to help me out and show me dozens of new Tellurides in several of the different trims! He took the time to go through all of the features and different options since I wasn't familiar with them. I was able to test drive two and was completely floored at how much room and power these mid-size SUVs have. They are VERY sharp looking too. The harsh reality is some things aren't meant to be, and I ended up getting a different vehicle elsewhere that fit my budget, but I can't thank Trevin and the crew enough for their patience and assistance. I did purchased a vehicle from Sterling Ford in Opelousas back in 2013 and was VERY impressed with the service, respect, and professionalism I was shown. If you are in the market for a Kia, look no further than Sterling Kia and give Trevin a hollar! Cheers! J.J.L.

Sterling was the closest KIA dealer to our location. Gabriel and the other members of the service department were awesome. They got us in quick and found the issue. Started the fix asap. And they allowed us to bring our 3 dogs inside so they wouldn't succumb the Lafayette Louisiana heat. Thank you all (front of the house to the guys in back) for the fast repairs. And the dogs got a lot of love too!!

Was told on 2 separate service visits that the rims had been replaced and they weren't. Not to mention I purchased the rim and tire protection plan from them. On another service visit to replace failing retention clips on body molding they scratched the rear passenger door. Again we purchased the most expensive protection product they offered. They attempted to repair the damages by spraying another coat of paint over the entire rear passenger door. This resulted in a bumpy and bubbly finish. Then they tried to correct that by over buffing the paint resulting in even more damage to my wife's vehicle. Yet they say they are here to support Acadiana! I will not argue about how nice they are during the buying process, anybody will be nice when you are handing out checks. Judging character has to be done when things get difficult. Even the Devil smiles at you when you sin.

It's a shame, if he had just been transparent or willing to go the extra mile and make up for the issues it might have been different. Once can almost sense how they no longer care once they have your money. Days and days without returned texts, excuses, etc. Hold these places accountable guys. They're not big on that but every review/survey that's truthful and accurate is necessary, both positive and negative, and it does affect their bonuses in many cases. I hate the survey system but it is what it is. It's not all their fault but them taking responsibility overall for an subpar sales experience is always the way to go. Nice car though.

I had a deeply concerning and unsafe experience with the service department regarding my Volkswagen…read moreTiguan. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic due to a high-speed vibration. I suspected a CV joint issue but made it clear I was not certain, which is why I happily agreed to pay for a diagnostic. After drop-off, I was called and informed I would be charged a double diagnostic fee, with only half applied toward any repair. The vehicle was taken into the shop and I received findings in well under two hours, which raises questions about the legitimacy of the fee. I was then quoted additional thousands of dollars for coolant and oil system "leaks". When I asked whether these systems were pressure tested for leaks, I was told no and that the recommendations were based solely on visual inspection. I have no errors/lights and no measurable loss of fluids so I denied the additional services and proceeded with the CV joint replacement as intended. The most serious issue occurred at pickup. As I pulled out of the dealership parking lot, the skid plate immediately detached from the bottom of my car and flew off while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. I am extremely fortunate no one was behind me. I retrieved the skid plate and returned it to the service center within minutes. The technician and service manager admitted: - The skid plate had been removed during service - Screws and washers were missing - I was not notified of the missing hardware during the diagnostic or at pickup - The vehicle was released anyway, knowingly with missing hardware Instead of replacing the damaged part or properly reinstalling it, the service team zip-tied a broken skid plate back onto the vehicle and refused to replace it. I was told that "you don't really need it anyway" and that I should have known parts were missing because I brought the car in for a specific issue. I am not a technician. I relied on a certified VW service department to identify safety-critical issues, notify me of missing hardware, and return my vehicle in a safe condition. Releasing a vehicle with an improperly secured underbody panel after removing it themselves is negligent. This experience showed a lack of transparency, accountability, and basic safety standards. I would strongly caution others before trusting this service department.
