No farm stand or supermarket has anything that compares. I eat them like I did in Mississippi as a child, cut off the core and in pieces with milk (now oat milk & sweetener. There is no working hard to get the fruit off the core. Slice around the perimeter and just pull the sides apart, leaving only the core and no residue. They are absolutely perfect. Among my purchases was the Costco sized box of the Premier Protein Pancakes that I'm eating on my high protein diet. They come to packs of three and are soft, fluffy & yummy. Included in my food tracking is the 16g of protein that each serving of 3 provides. The final purchase today was one of their store prepared Kirkland Signature entrees. I thought my voice might have improved enough to eat out tonight. But I still have to strain and don't want to risk the progress. Costco's CHICKEN ALFREDO is prepared using their rotisserie chicken. It is made the perfect meal by adding frozen green peas, which make for a balanced meal. Delivery is especially beneficial. Thank you Costco for being my "go to" for some of my favorite foods.

The gas war with the station across the street is continuing, since their price has been lowered to a level closer to 7-Eleven, Since the WalMart+ fuel discount had worked so well at the First Colonial 7-Eleven I decided to try it here to minimize my time outside in the cold. It didn't recognize the station. So that discount must not be 7-Eleven specific. It must be determined by the brand of fuel each uses. Since I was already there & my gas level was low, I decided to go ahead & get fuel. After swiping my credit card, the screen asked if I was a 7-Eleven Rewards member. I knew I was but had no idea where my card was. And I certainly wasn't going to stand out in the cold & look for it. Just to see what happened, I entered "Yes". It took me to a screen that asked for my Alternate ID. I didn't have a clue. So I entered my phone number. Voila, another screen popped up that told me I had a 12 cents discount. Did I want to use it? Of course I did. The price on the pump went down. I quickly pumped gas & returned to the warmth of my vehicle. Not only is this location convenient & reasonably priced, it has taught me the path to big discounts.
