The front desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and all of the instructors have been patient, encouraging, and great with the kids. The classes are very well organized, with clear groupings and instructors, so everything runs smoothly. The pool is a great size, and the water temperature is perfect for young swimmers, making it a comfortable experience for the kids. We currently have all three of our children enrolled, and they happily go into class without any tears. They've made tremendous progress in a short amount of time, and it's been wonderful watching their confidence grow in the water. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of instruction and experience. We're extremely happy with La Petite Baleen and will absolutely continue bringing our kids. Highly recommend to any family looking for a positive, well run swim program.

Once your kid is used to how things are run and is somewhat comfortable in the water, the loud and busy atmosphere of Saturdays and Sundays are just fine. We've had a few teachers over the last two years, given make up classes etc. Major shout outs to Jenny, Vina, and Orlando! Both of my daughters (ages 3 and 5) have made amazing progress. Teacher Jenny nurtured my baby into a confident, water-loving swimmer before she even turned 3! Jenny has had great insights on how to encourage my daughter in her skills (as well as patience for toddler attitudes, haha). Thanks, Jenny! Teacher Vina got my older daughter to enjoy lessons and I love her engaged she is with the kids. Teacher Orlando was our level 3 teacher, and did a great job of integrating work on "real" swim skills (starting some of the harder, more boring stroke work-imo) while still making the sessions fun. My girls and I look forward to LPB classes every week!

Came here on a guest pass from my friend and on a holiday weekend it was comfortably busy…read more Definitely a great spot if you have kids cause the swimming pool and water slide are great. We went to the lifting section on the first floor and all the machines and weights are pretty modern and well kept. I also love how there's a recovery room that's included in your membership. The cryo chairs and compression boots are really nice. Their adjacent food stall, I think Local Kitchens is also pretty delicious! Can order on doordash for pick up ahead of it which is convenient. I was only there for about 1.5 hours so I didn't get to use all the amenities, but you could easily spend an entire day here. There are some areas where I thought maintenance/cleanliness could be better kept, especially for the steep price and the WiFi was frequently spotty, but otherwise, a really nice spot!

Cryo chair, body massager, compression boots and more. Its much needed after a workout. Few things they can improve on : They just recently switched out the chairs in the business center. The current chairs are not meant to be here. They are too low and proper chairs should be put here for working. They have the good office chairs in the Touchdown rooms; they should have it everywhere. We pay too much to not be comfortable and at regular level height. Womens Restroom area- They should have a proper lounge area somewhere in the area even if its just a small seating area to relax in after a sauna session or pool. The SF location has a nice seating area with a TV and there is also a quiet room where you can lay down. This location should think about adding this in there. Much needed. The workout classes they have are great and pool jacuzzi area is great! They should do monthly food events or other type of freebee things for the members here. As much as the membership is here, more needs to be done for members. Itll be a nice touch for sure.

Between…read morebirthday parties and graduation ceremonies and my giving birth, we've probably missed as many or more classes than we've taken. Heck, we missed a MAKEUP that we scheduled!!! And let's not forget this weekend, where my son got all the way to the pool before announcing that he was just too tired to swim. Instead of being draconian about it, they just graciously give you the chance to make it up later using the app, with a few months' grace to do so. We have mostly seen Mr. Hart as a teacher and he has a wonderful demeanor, does ask the kids to do things but is encouraging rather than demanding. So progress might be slow but at least my son isn't dreading or fearing the water or class. I definitely recommend this school for beginning swimmers, especially if they're a bit timid.

We don't recommend and won't be returning for the below cons, but want to provide a balanced review as they do have pros relative to other schools on the Peninsula. Cons: inconsistent instructors week to week (not good for toddlers who want consistency); instructors are good at following the book but most weren't able to adapt their style and approach for our son who loves the water but didn't love songs/class (even when we was the only one there. At other swim schools, they've been able to try different techniques); we tried 4 different locations and all pools were very cold; price per class is higher vs competitors but I don't see higher quality Pros: unlimited makeup classes; 1:4 teacher to student ratio (often smaller); lots of weekend class availability; pools are quieter/less chaotic than competitors'
