My husband started seeing Dr. Ron Golan recently in the urology group. He was quite pleased with…read morehis first appointment and delighted he found a great urologist. Dr. Golan is a young and capable scientist. He has a good sense of humor but is also very professional. He's well educated having graduated UPENN medicine followed by Columbia, while still keeping current on evolving scientific research and data. You'd be lucky to be his patient with his bedside manner and strong scientific and clinical skills. Office was easy to get to, park and navigate to Dr. Golan's office. Highly recommend! See their website for more information.

Since Sutter took over there are so many problems with this clinic that it is hard to believe…read more 1. People that answer the phone are all now in Sacramento, but pretend like they are local "let me run down the hall to ask the doctor". 2. Needed to ask my doctor to re-activate an expired cholesterol blood test. People answering the phone said I could not do that, I needed to ask the doctor in person. 3. Have been denied the ability three times to log into MyChart due to system errors over the last few weeks. 4. Parking lot is so full you need to park on the street. 5. Biopsy notifications (cancer ones) are handled by people that have very little bedside manner and presumably little training. The phone got disconnected by Sansum on a Friday afternoon and they never called me back whilst in the middle of a positive cancer biopsy discussion. Leaving to one of the other clinics.

I went to Dr. Kay for many years because I just didn't want to go through the trouble of searching…read morefor another doctor. He was a good doctor for some years, but towards the end he became rude, dismissive & even cruel. Yes, cruel. I had gained some weight & was at my annual exam with him. He barely spoke to me. I asked him about some discoloration on my toe nails. He barely glanced at them & said nothing. I asked him again, what I should do? His response? "Paint them". Wow. Great advice, Doctor. As I was leaving & was halfway out the door, he said: "go eat a salad." We weren't even talking at that point. I was leaving & we were done with my exam. To me that was incredibly cruel as having a weight problem is already difficult enough. If we had been talking about weight loss, I could understand his comment. But we weren't. I was almost out the door & he made that comment completely out of the blue. That comment made me feel so much self hatred. I wish I had been mad at him, but I took his mean words out on myself. Once I was forgotten about in an exam room. I waited about an hour after being put in there for my appointment. I finally went out & asked when I'd see Dr. Kay? Oh yeah, they forgot I was waiting!!! He never listened; always seemed inconvenienced; was rude; didn't take time to go through questions/concerns I had; and obviously made me feel like garbage for gaining weight. He knew I suffered from severe depression & was recovering from bulemia, as well as a self harm attempt, so those comments showed such a lack of care as well as professionalism that I wish I had changed GP doctors immediately. But I didn't. I wasn't strong enough or brave enough, so I was so glad when he retired. The doctor who took over his practice, Dr. Fen Liang is a dream! She is everything an amazing doctor should be. Dr. Kay, at the end had no right to be treating anybody because it is completely obvious that he did not care one bit about his patients or their mental/physical health. I'm so glad he is gone!
