She was kind and direct and gave me a roadmap of what to expect. Her bedside manner is excellent, and she made me feel completely at ease. She quickly diagnosed some anatomical differences about my baby that we could address totally noninvasively, and ultimately was successful in getting my baby to take a bottle. The process took just as long as she said it would. She gave me my life back and made it possible for me to return to work. Throughout the entire process, she has been easy to reach. I was nearly 3 months postpartum, and even though I was past the early days, I still found myself second-guessing things and often felt like I didn't fully know what I was doing. Reaching out to them was one of the best choices I made. The visit was covered by my insurance, aside from a small travel fee, and it was absolutely worth it for the individualized care and peace of mind that Vicky and Golnar gave me. As a new mom who felt anxious about traveling with my baby, having a compassionate and knowledgeable lactation consultant come to my home made all the difference. She made me feel seen, heard, and supported without any judgment. She took her time explaining things in a way that was clear and reassuring. I left the visit with practical tools, a better understanding of what was going on, and, most importantly, a renewed sense of confidence in myself. If you're struggling, even a few months in, it is not too late to ask for help. This visit gave me exactly what I needed, and I can't recommend San Diego Breastfeeding Center enough. I look forward to continuing to work with them!

NO MORE TRIPLE FEEDING!…read more At my very first appointment with Christine, I was breastfeeding without a nipple shield within five minutes. That moment brought me to tears because, for the previous two months, I had never been able to do that. For those two months, I had been triple feeding eight times a day: breastfeeding with a nipple shield, pumping, and then bottle-feeding. Each session took nearly two hours. It wasn't just physically exhausting--it was emotionally draining and incredibly discouraging. Along the way, I was told by 10 different lactation consultants so many reasons why breastfeeding wasn't working: my baby probably had a tongue tie, he was born at only 5 pounds so his suck was weak, I have flat nipples, I had a C-section so my milk came in later... It felt like there was always another obstacle and no light at the end of the tunnel. Then I met Christine. She immediately identified what needed to change and gave us practical, effective guidance. For the first time, I felt hopeful, and more importantly, I saw immediate results. Christine is firm, direct, incredibly knowledgeable, and focused on getting results. If you're looking for someone who will simply reassure you and tell you everything is fine, she may not be the right fit. But if you're looking for someone who will identify the problem, teach you what to do, and help you achieve your breastfeeding goals, I can't recommend her enough. I can't wait to feel more and more confident during my breast-feeding journey thank you to this amazing lady.

She was kind, caring, and always made us feel supported. She truly felt like the big sister I needed during such an important time. The only downside of my experience was the lactation support. I only attended two sessions because, unfortunately, they were very stressful. During the first visit, the lactation consultant arrived late, seemed rushed, and left me with a few nipple shields that ultimately didn't work well for me. At the end, I didn't end up using them because they weren't helpful. The second session felt very similar. It also felt rushed and stressful, and my baby became stressed as well. Because of those experiences, I decided not to continue with the lactation sessions. Overall, I'm very grateful for Katie's support, and she made a huge positive difference during our postpartum journey.

Seriously, I was at the point where it was pay for support or quit breastfeeding (which wasnt really an option as my daughter hates bottles and screams the house down!). When my daughter was screaming, getting gassy, having problems latching and I was in such pain it was time to call in the expert! I had spoken to two doctors and a number of lactation consultants at breastfeeding support groups and what kept coming up was "thrush" or poor latch. Sarah came to my house, watched how I fed my daughter, helped with some positioning and also checked how I pumped and my daughter's mouth. It was found that my daughter had a tongue tie (which had not been diagnosed by anyone previously...) and could easily be rectified. Additionally it was confirmed by Sarah that I was also experiencing Raynaud's. Sure enough we took my daughter to the doctor and she had the tongue tie operation and since then almost all of the problems have been solved. I really was at my wits end. Sarah is professional but friendly and is also very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone who is having any problem with breastfeeding. Sarah regularly contacts me for updates and provides information wherever needed. Amazing service which ensured we could continue feeding!

She made mention that she specialized in tongue and lip ties. I knew I needed to call right away and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I met Grace, she was warm and caring and made me feel safe, and encouraged me. She confirmed what I knew to be, and unlike my last two experiences with tongue and lip tie releases, I had her to walk me through the entire process. She came to the pediatric dentist with me, and was in the procedure with my baby, when I couldn't be. She helped me at follow up appointments with checking his wounds to ensure I was doing correct wound care, and then helping me improve his latch. I've never felt so cared for, and supported, and you can just see how much Grace absolutely loves her work and how passionate she is about helping mothers and babies successfully breastfeed! I would recommend Grace to ANYONE who is looking for a Lactation consultant. She has been doing this for many years, and works with some incredible doctors, who I'm also glad to have been connected with. Baby is feeding SO well now, pain is gone, and I'm producing a magnificent amount of milk! I honestly feel like I may just have the most successful journey yet, with this baby, and it truly is all thanks to Grace! An important thing to know is that Grace seems to be a very strong advocate of tongue tie revision,…read moreand if you are not planning on revising your money may be spent elsewhere. My wife and I reached out to Grace for help breastfeeding with our second son. My wife let her know from the beginning that we are not interested in doing a tongue tie revision - this was because we did it with our first son and it was traumatic and did not actually help with his breastfeeding. Even though my wife was clear about this, Grace continued to lecture about tongue tie revisions and tongue tie risks throughout almost the entire session. She offered some but not much help outside of offering tongue tie info. The session was not very helpful for our family. Also, it's important to read the fine print that even though the session is quoted as $100, you have to pay a non refundable $25 deposit beforehand. We saw another lactation consultant a few days afterwards who was significantly more helpful - she listened to our situation and spent 2.5 hours helping us with techniques and tips to have a healthy breastfeeding relationship without a tongue tie revision. I believe Grace is a good person and doing what she believes is best and helpful, but it just may not be the best care for every family.
