I guess the thing to do the day before the 4th of July is get your nails done because my sister and I went to two different nail salons, each telling us the wait was about 30 + minutes, before we decided to just stay put at Radiance Nail & Spa, that told us the wait would be 15 minutes. Well, it turned out to be a 30 minute wait, but my sister and I were committed so we just waited and chatted. Over all, the pedicures we got were fine, although the paint job on my feet could have been better... it was a tiny bit sloppy, but from a far they look great! What else was great was my extra long foot massage! I asked for an extra ten minutes and I am thrilled I did because my woman did an amazing job!!! I haven't found a nail spa with a good foot rub as well in a long while, too bad this place is FAR AWAY from where I actually live! My sister was pleased with her pedicure too, and asked for a firework design (cause she's just so patriotic?) that turned out awesome! Over all, this place was decent. I would probably only come back because of the foot massage, however, I only know of one lady being good at the foot rubs, so who knows what all the other technicians are like... That being said, this place is crazy busy, so they must be on point! read more

I will not be back. This was my last visit. I was here a month before and the technician cut me, and it hurt, so I said "you hurt me". But she finished the gel manicure and I still tipped her. However, I went on vacation the next day and my finger got infected to the point of tender, red and filled with pus. I was overseas, but luckily a friend had neosporin and bandaids. My finger took over a week to heal. Today I called in the morning and was told to come in at 230. Every technician was busy when I arrived and I had to wait 45 minutes despite my appointment. I've been coming here for over a year and was never treated so badly. When Lonnie, the one in charge, finally took me, she said the two other female technicians refused to work on me! So I told Lonnie that no, the one gal had hurt me and caused an infection, but still she didn't believe me. I should have walked out but I really needed the manicure. Never again. They overbook and tell walk-ins it's only a 10 minute wait. Don't believe them. They are so rude. I do not recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Made an apt for a pedicure & gel mani called for an apt was told to come at 6:30, they didn't start 6:45, then proceeded to say they close at 7:00 & couldn't do a gel manicure. Had by far the very WORST pedicure in 25 years of getting pedicures! Water was freezing cold, didn't have left foot scrubbed or cuticles cut at ALL. Right foot she couldn't be bothered painting polish to end of nail or clipping 3 of toe nails. I've come here on & off for over 10 years & will never be back! I've referred tons of people here but will no longer!!!! Pedicure from start if filling water in chair to finish was exactly 12 mins long!!!! Complete waste of time & money could've gone anywhere else but held out for my apt & showed up on time. I will have to have nails redone tomorrow. Super lame. Do yourself a favor: save yourself the time, money & disappointment & go anywhere else. Such a freaking bummer & yea I did let them know how bad the work was. read more

We had an appointment but they still made me wait over 20 mins and about 45 for my friend who was part of my appointment time. The place wasn't as clean and neat as I had hoped. The mani I got was ok, I've definitely had better. The staff wasn't that welcoming or warm. Overall a very mediocre experience. read more

technician did not speak English - unable to detail a classic pedicure vs. spa pedicure. Foot tub had no bubbles and the water was cold! Burr! No paper towels to dry hands after washing them. Worst experience I ever had. They burnt my skin around my nails. I had gel nails removed before, but the way they did it it burnt my skin. They left gel on my skin and didn't remove it. It's not worth 60$ and your time. The tools are dirty and not cleaned. My pedicure got infected and my skin is so dry on my hands. They didn't even put the cream on it . Terrible and dirty read more

Booked an appointment for Sunday afternoon at 3:00 and my friend and I decided to stop by earlier since we were in the area and they were able to get us in at 2:15; very accommodating. The salon was clean and the employees were kind. A manicure was $13.00 and a French manicure was $18.00. A great price and they did a fine job. The employees were difficult to understand both on the phone and in person, but that didn't affect the quality of the service we received. Great salon for the price! read more

They were actually one of the friendlier salons (initially). As far as the services go, the spa pedicure was nothing to write home about! No massage to speak of and the work was only adequate. This was a mother's day gift and I was there with my daughter. Neither of us are terribly happy with our acrylic nails. They simply do not listen! My daughter commented a few times and they just kept right on going doing what they wanted to do. 2 days later my nails look like they were done a week ago and funny enough that's exactly what the woman said when I went in to talk to her about it. She said that's what they look like after a week. It's only been two days ( actually a day and a half) I said. She just wanted to argue. Lousy job! We wont go back! read more

I've been going to Johnny for several years for acrylic nails. He is great! The salon is nothing fancy but they are kind and efficient and they do the best to understand their English speaking clients. I've been here twice- once for a gel manicure, then again for acrylic overlay + gel manicure. Didn't make an appointment for either, first one was about a half hour wait for my friend and myself so we went next door to eat. Both times I was very satisfied, and I intend to make this my regular salon. The man who did my nails both times is not particularly friendly, but he isn't rude by any means. I certainly don't need to make small talk with my nail technician. The woman who removed the gel before he did the overlay was really nice and brought me magazines while I waited too. I have had good experiences and nice nails done here, especially compared to a few others in town.

To save time, I went to this shop to get shellac on my nails. Never again. Staff was unfriendly. The lady who did my nails apparently had allergy problems and was sniffing and snorting while she did my nails. She used the acrylic drill thing on my nails to sand them down, which is totally unnecessary and makes your nails too thin. She had me wash my hands twice during the process but didn't clean my nails with alcohol before starting the polish process, and she didn't use any kind of drying solution. Once finished, my nails looked good, but they started chipping in 3 days. Normally a shellac manicure lasts 10 days for me. The experience was very awkward as no one was talking at all and the $30 I paid for the manicure was a total waste of money. read more

I have always gotten Mani pedi here but the last time I went the guy doing my nails was so grumpy and rude I haven't been back. Also it's hard to not be able to communicate with the people giving you a service. This is one of the only decent inexpensive nail salons in town. I am pretty picky about my pedicures because in LA you can get a great mani/pedi for around $20. This place does a good job. The place isn't clean enough for me but the older gentleman gave a good pedicure. We waited a long time but that's the nature of nail salons so that's ok but the younger guy was really mean! I got gels and questioned something and he basically told me he knew what he was doing and to not question him. Then he didn't do a great job in the end- and wouldn't fix a nail the got damaged in the dryer thingy. In the end my nails are uneven and lumpy! Will not return. read more

I really really want to like this place. The staff are pleasant so nothing negative there. But after having gel nails done 3 times at 3 weeks apart I feel the need to comment. Most of my fingernails have broken off and do attribute that to the 'sanding' that is done to the nails. My nails were strong but now have trimmed them and starting over. Maybe if the 'sanding ' procedure is replaced with a different procedure? Hope this comment is helpful to those that are thinking of getting gel nails. Ask questions and know what your fingernails are getting into. read more

It was a busy day so we had to wait, but that was ok, I expected that as a walk-in. The gentlemen who was to do my pedicure seemed very annoyed that I asked him to adjust the temperature of the footbath. He shaped and cleaned up my toenails decently. We asked for the spa pedi but there was nothing special about it. Cursory scrubbing of callouses, and a 30 second mediocre massage. Before applying the color he didn't use any sort of base coat. Just two layers of color (fine) and top coat. I also noticed a disturbing hygiene thing-there's a basket of discarded toe separators by the drying area, and at least once a tech grabbed separators from that basket to (re)use on a customer. The general level of cleanliness was low-it all just looked cluttered and grimy. I will not go back. read more

This place if awful. I called ahead of time to get my niece that is 10 and my daughter that is 12 mani/pedicures. The guy that answered the phone told me that it would be $25 dollars for the mani/pedi. Once they arrived he said that my daughter that is 12 would be regular price because of her height. I went to Radiance yesterday with two other people, and we revived terrible manicures and service. The staff demanded payment before we got the manicures, which in my experience is highly unusual. Maybe that is just their policy, but I felt that because we were young they did not believe we would pay. I would not have had as much of an issue paying in advance if we had actually received quality manicures. The other two people and I were shocked to see how poorly they painted our nails. I went in with old nail polish on, and the person doing my nails did not remove all on the polish. He especially neglected the outer parts of my nails. This may not have been so bad if the nails were painted over entirely, but he did a very sloppy job. With all of the paint he got on my the rest of my finger I thought he would have managed to cover my entire nail, but this was not the case. The same exact thing happened to the other two people I was with. I honestly could have done a much better job at home, and I will never be returning to Radiance. I would not suggest that anyone go there. Although my guests and I were young I still believe we deserved good service. I made it a point to tip them to show that young people aren't going to stiff them. I hope in the future they will treat everyone, including young people, with respect and offer quality service. read more

Santa Fe doesn't hold a candle to Dallas as far as good, clean, and value-oriented nail salons. I've had several horrific experiences at other salons in town. Radiance Nails isn't great on interior design or aesthetics, but I've had good pedicure results every time here. It's my go to place in town. read more

These people are the rudest in town. They allow you to make appointments and then are always late by 15-30 minutes, and never apologize. It's such a shame, as being from LA I know a great mani/pedi when I see one, and Juan was great, but it isn't worth the complete disregard for professionalism (not to mention my life) by not only not honoring their appointment times (on several occasions) but also not apologizing for keeping me waiting, and at times taking people before me! I had been going here for over two years. I liked the pedicures I received from Juan. I simply got fed up with the way my time was treated. I always made an appointment and most of the time I had to wait. They completely disregard appointments and they absolutely will take walk ins at the same time an appointment is scheduled. I made an appointment two weeks before Christmas. I rearranged my entire day around my mani/pedi at a very busy time of year. I got there and Juan had just started on some one else, and she told me to wait. I explained I made my appointment two weeks prior and I watched her write it down. Again they said wait. Terrible!!! Had a mani pedi, rushed through like a cattle call. Mani polish was goopy, old polish. After 4 hours it still was like mud. OK, it was a bad bottle. Went back next day, politely explained and showed the owner. All the nails were bubbly! She offered to do one thumb but refused to redo all of them. She raised her voice and got indignant. Rude, not friendly and does not honor appointments or walkins. I have given this place a few tries and I am just done. I walked in recently for a nail repair at 12 noon, opening time, no appointment. There was one person waiting and they said they could not fit me in. Don't advertise walk-ins if you can't honor them. They said that the guy who does acrylic was leaving, I doubt that since, I am pretty sure that acrylic, solar, etc is the majority of their business!! Employes were rude and the paint job was not so great. My friend decided to get a sparkly color, and the man that was doing my friends nails insisted on putting a bright green color underneath. I chose to get a French manicure, and she said my nails were to short and would look terrible, or as she said "Nail to short, look terrible." I told her to do it anyway and they did a bad job mostly because she was watching the TV behind her. I told her not to cut my cuticles and she did. Now I have to put on antibiotic ointment and band aids. I am never going back again. read more
