She spent the whole time talking about her Egyptian boyfriend that she's been with for a month, which distracted her from what she was doing. Next thing you know my hour was up and she only got to my back and lower legs? She never touched my hips, neck, thighs, lower back, arms etc. This was the worst massage I ever had and I could've got my little cousins to do a better job. Each time I asked her to apply pressure she told me it's too difficult for her because I'm on my side. I'm obviously on my side because I'm pregnant and it's a prenatal massage. I'm not someone that's hard to please at all but I did inform the front desk it's a disappointment that I have to pay for that type of service. The front desk didn't bother to ask me any questions or seem to care, they just said to have a nice day. I was looking forward to that massage all week because of these pregnancy pains...I still left there in pain and $120 less in my pocket lol not a good experience at all and I won't be returning. ...not to mention, their new rooms are as bright as they're shown in the pictures here. Told me the other door was open and I should hustle back. I'm glad I did. Vivita is PRO. She is nurturing and gives an impeccable facial. I'm no expert but this was possibly shiatsu, although they told me this was Chinese massage, and it was different from the usual rmt in that they press on points as well as the usual moves. I was super happy with the service and value. Also the amount of effort she put into the job. I asked for 45 minutes which is $50 cash and seems a fairly standard price in Chinatown. The pace was much faster than I'm used to and it seemed that I almost got the usual 90 minutes worth in 45. Of course it's not the same, but quite impressive amount of work over the 45 minutes with no downtime or inefficiency. The room was small, clean and quiet, although I went in the evening when it wasn't busy. There was soft Chinese folk guitar twanging playing quietly in the room and the lighting was nice. The white disposable sheet on the table was great. I met two ladies when I went in, and it seemed like they were the only ones there. One was better at English. The one that massaged spoke only Chinese with rudimentary "ok" in English which was fine and I appreciated not wanting to talk. She ended up using the hot towels on my back which felt heavenly. I tipped $20 since that was all I had on my, but felt worth it compared to the usual $156 bill at the clinic with no tip. I'll be back and felt fantastic on the walk home and the next day.

When we started the massage, Wioletta told me that I could 'loosen my mask' as 'masks do not work.' I was uncomfortable so I told her I would keep mine on. She had her mask on, she had gloves, not a problem. THEN. She goes on to tell me her opinion on how COVID19 'does not exist', and that 'it was manufactured as a way for the government to control us.' I was stuck on this table, half naked, so I just silently nodded. But THEN, she goes on to talk about how 'Hitler and his wife escaped Germany, had a grand-child named Obama, to control the world'. She then talks about 'Free Masons, Illuminati, New World Order' and how 'Titanic was orchestrated to get rid of people that didn't agree with the New World Order." I don't think the therapist was targeting the right spots. Perhaps getting one of the other staff might have been better. Other than that, it was a good price.

If it takes a half hour into the massage to get that way, then that's less time for the massage to do the most good. I had a smartly-dressed more mature woman named Lucy take care of me, and she told me to try and sleep or relax with the reflexology and turned the lights right down to pretty dark which was great and worked a treat. Since they tend to massage up your calves it's almost a good idea to take your pants off, or wear light sweatpants so they aren't fighting their way down during the reflexology. Next the massage and her technique was quite impressive. She wasn't a large person but amazingly strong and could boss my body around without a problem. I appreciated how she could grab a leg or other part and shake it like you sometimes want to shake sense into someone (but can't) and in this case my body needed some sense shaken into it, so wow I'll be considering Lucy as my go-to for the best value in Chinatown massage done right!
