On a day of celebration family took us for a day of relaxation with a couples massage. The check in was quick and staff courteous and prompt. The change rooms are really nice and slippers and robe are clean and feel really plush and rich. The rooms for both of us was very relaxing to start and soft music in the background. There is a very light candle in the room with very mild scent. The beds are comfortable and sheets used clean and fresh. The staff who worked on were really good and knew their craft. After about an hour we're ready to take a nap. Expensive when compared to others, however some of the higher cost is for the environment, the luxury and the good staff. read more

Updating my review for the better! Came back for a spa day for my bday, yesterday, a Monday. I had booked a massage with Martin and Oxygeneo with Justine. Check in was super easy and quick, as I had already filled out all the forms online prior. Sad that they aren't offering robes and slippers right now but all good. I felt super safe in the waiting room, as I was the only one there for a few minutes and another couple joined but we were safely spaced. Martin came to collect me on time from the waiting room. He asked me when the last time I came in for a massage was and what I wanted to have done and focus on that day. The massage was GREAT. One of the best I've had in a while. I asked for full body with more of a focus on lower back, neck and shoulders. I appreciate that it was actually full body. A lot of times, I've found that RMTs forget about the arms but he remembered to target those too. Towards the end, he propped up the front of the bed, so I was elevated a bit. I've never had this done before and liked it. I was propped up for the front portion of my legs, arms, neck and ended off with a head massage. Also I noticed the little things. Like he washed his hands before the head massage, as to not get the oil in my hair and had a towel on the floor to step on, once the massage was done, as my feet may have been a bit oily. It was relaxing yet still very effective. I felt great after and still do today! WIll def book with him again. After the massage, I had asked where the water was and he filled up a glass for me, instead of just showing me. Great hospitality. For my Oxygeneo, Justine was friendly and kind. She was able to answer some questions I had and was super understanding when I had to use the washroom in the middle of the session lol (I chugged two glasses of water after the massage! =P) The only thing, is I wished she explained each product she was putting on my face or explain each procedure, as my last Oxygeneo was at least 3-4 years ago. But not a big deal. That didn't hinder my experience or thoughts. I still think it was great. My face felt great after and I can't wait to see the real results in the coming days. She even offered me a glass of water after and handed it to me, once I exited the room. Again, little things =) Overall it was a great day. I love how the spa is dimly lit throughout and is kept that way in all the rooms, before and after sessions. Hell, even the washrooms are like that! lol. Had the worst massage I have ever had with Carlotta. When I booked my appointment it was for a couples massage in the salt cave. The "lounge" is a tiny seating area in which staff are constantly walking through or helping themselves to the tea / coffee. They dont smile at you just stare and walk by. Zero ambiance. When Luis arrived at 10:55am (massage at 11:00am) he said - oh is this for a couples massage? He seemed confused. I had to check my notes and said "Yes its with Carlotta". He said oh we will have to wait for her then and walked away. At 11:05am he came back to get us. There were two other people in the cave quickly setting up the second massage table hastily. They obviously had no idea. By the time we were settled and changed 11:15am they started. And what time did they finish? 12pm on the dot - for a paid 1 hour couples massage. Thats insulting. Let me tell you about Carlotta. She LEFT the massage to use the washroom?? Never had that happen. Ruins the vibe! Multiple times she was asked for more pressure she did not change her ways. It was like my husband was made of glass absolutely no technique or pressure. She rubbed lotion all over my husbands back only to throw the blanket on top of it. How does that make sense? She puts her fingers on pressure points but doesnt use any pressure like she is holding a fragile butterfly. My husband was so mad it was like the massage got worse as time went by. I brought up my concerns to the Assistant Manager who said she would update my husbands profile to ensure he is not booked with her again. No apology or remorse - just said that "Carlotta has been here a long time" We will not be back again based on how our experience was and zero compensation for what we experienced. Zenbar Healing Studio, what a wonderful and interesting name for a business. We were very lucky that we got an appointment the same day we called. At our arrival, we were welcomed with warmth! A little counter, where we announce ourselves, surrounded by a little boutique. In the boutique, you would find anything and everything related to meditation, yoga, Pilates, relaxation... We came for massages; bathrobe and sandals were provided along with a locker and lock. Then we were transferred to a beautiful and quaint lounge, where we had some tea and water. My massage therapist Julie came to pick me up, and brought me to the massage room. I told her to work on my overall body. I was surprised and impressed how this massage was the best massage I ever had. Julie had the perfect pressure to massage... and she found the all the focal points of tension of my body and worked on them thoroughly. In between, I even fell asleep. So yeah, she was definitely the best massage therapist I ever had in my life. I had massages in Thailand, New York, and tons in Montreal but this amazing and hard working person made me relaxed and happy because I barely said anything and she knew exactly where the massage was needed. I was offered a $55 credit (no refunds allowed). When I canceled a future appointment (no way I'm going back), they charged me a $1 cancellation fee on my credit card. I have been going to Zenbar for a few years now for Massages and I have always had a pleasant experience. From the front desk staff to the masseuses, you truly feel relaxed and taken care of. It is a well-oiled machine of a place and you can tell that the staff is all really passionate about customer care and wellness. The boutique items for sale at the front of the store are also adorable and fit nicely with my interest in tarot and good vibes. Arrived for our salt cave appointment 5 minutes early. Was provided with a robe and slippers - 2 left feet - and had to go find someone to get that rectified. Not provided info on where to go once changed, so again went to look for someone who just said wait in the lounge and someone will come and get you. The person walked away so we had to go and find the lounge. After waiting 15 minutes I went to look for someone and they said they would see if the room was free. They didn't come back and update us. After another 10 minutes someone came and advised us that we could proceed to the 'cave'. It's a room with a salt block wall and some patio lounge chairs. I've been to salt caves before where it is a cave with salt on the floor, walls and ceiling. This was $110 for two, to lie in some deck chairs for an hour. It was such a waste of money. I treated my cousin to the experience who was visiting from the UK and I was so embarrassed. The service was terrible, the advertised cave was not a cave. I would not recommend. To add insult to injury they sent me a link for a review and the link didn't work. Skip the salt cave here. There are legitimate salt caves that are less expensive and provide an authentic experience. read more

The overall experience was mediocre at best. The service, starting at the front desk and throughout the entire time, as well as the studio itself does not justify the luxury prices they charge. Front desk was "stressed" and not friendly right from the start. I was taken to a change room and left there to wait until my appointment. The "lounge" was not suggested. The Salt Cave is very misleading and not worth the extra cost, it is a regular room with a backlit salt wall. I will not be going back there, there are much better places to go to. read more

Later the receptionist explained that he had a medical condition but was not sick. I found this spa as I recently moved jobs to Oakville and was looking for a spa close by. I enjoy the feel of the spa, and like that they provide complimentary robes, slippers, towel. Upon waiting in the lounge room (there's some pretty neat bed spaces that you can rest in while you wait), they had some hot cinnamon tea and water. My first massage was in the salt cave for an hour.. or was it an hour and a half? I mainly did it for the experience. Second massage was just a regular aromatherapy massage. I much preferred this to the salt cave. Very dark and relaxing. I plan on returning on a monthly basis! read more

I was desperate for a massage as my neck & shoulder were acting up but I could't get into my physio for a week. I saw Tammy at Zen Bar. She asked lots of questions and took a thorough medical history before starting. The massage was great. She gave me stretches to do at home. The staff was excellent. Very friendly! Had a great pedicure/manicure. For the owners, please get some updated equipment. Pedicure chair was torn and ragged looking, all the towels are completely old and have awful bleach marks all over them, and there isn't even any equipment to dry your nails after the manicure. This place is okay, but I don't think I will return. I went on a Saturday afternoon for a Swedish massage for two with my mom. When we got there, I was a little thrown off when I saw men walking through the locker room. I wasn't aware it was co-ed, nor did the front desk inform us. I enjoyed the lounge and tea before the massage. Definitely go early if you can. My cousin actually got a massage in the salt cave and told me it wasn't worth it. So we didn't get our massages in the salt cave and it was done in their yoga studio. They didn't have another room big enough for a massage for two. It was kind of awkward with mirrors covering two of the walls, but that's what you can expect from a studio! As someone who gets massages once a month, I wasn't very impressed. I had to ask my RMT to apply more pressure about 3 times. If you're like me and prefer deep pressure, go somewhere else. I found it to be a little cold in the room and my RMT was able to find a portable heater to use. I didn't like the oil that was used.. it wasn't very watery and felt more like lotion than oil. Although my massage wasn't the best, this place has very friendly staff. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and there was also an esthetician walking by when we were browsing the skincare products after our massages. She was very helpful and happy to answer our questions. read more

If it is your first time salt cave, management please explain it, definitely can get customer back. Cheap massage table - Maybe not their specialty, why? You can hear the train noises in the room - again and again (it's not the music for sure). Smart pricing, only pay for what you want. But if you add up is very pricey. Give credit for privacy option that you can't get elsewhere for these prices. This establishment tryouts too many things in a small space. The Luxury Mani-Pedi Combo is appropriately named. It was very relaxing in the zero gravity chair - I think I may have dozed off. The studio is very quiet and peaceful and the decor is quite soothing. Overall, this placed was very zen. A couple issues: 1) Very limited selection of nail colours. 2) The room for nail services has a window/emergency exit door that faces the parking lot and the blinds were open so I found that distracting. I suppose I could have asked for the blinds to be closed but I didn't bother. I will return. read more

Please Don't even waste your time!!! Office management is a complete disaster. I scheduled an appointment earlier in the morning for a massage in the evening. They took my deposit to secure the appointment and sent me a confirmation text. I arrive, walk in and they said my appointment was not until later, I showed them the confirmation text and time they sent me and the lady said there was a mix up and to come back in an hour. I sat in my car and waited an hour and came BACK in and they said I was mistaken and that my appointment was actually earlier in the day and they could not take me in and to come back tomorrow. By this time I have wasted 3.5 hours of my life between driving in rush hour and waiting in their parking lot to come in. They were not apologetic, they were not accommodating, they simply just wanted to close up shop early. One of the girls behind the counter had the audacity to laugh me off about the mix up, like it was no big deal. I will say this, perhaps people get massages for relaxation, but people also get them to relieve pain and discomfort - which I certainly needed. How does this business even stay afloat? I booked an appointment for my Mum and I to have some treatments with Zenbar, unfortunately on the day of the appointment the whole house got hit with a stomach bug (including my 2 year old) I called the reception straight away and said I wanted to re-book for a later date, I was told it was up to the Manager to confirm as it was less then 24 hours notice (Their cancellation policy) but as I was going to re-book she didn't see a problem. However, on receiving my credit card statement I was charged $572. I reached out a number of times to resolve this but was told its the company policy. There was no way for us to attend the appointments is risk of infecting someone or everyone else. Every time the booking was mistakenly made for less time than what was needed thus the esthetician was rushed. I was at Zenbar this past weekend celebrating my birthday with 3 friends. We booked the salt cave massage and were utterly disappointed. We had to place our clothes, jacket and purse on the dusty floor as there wasnt even a small table or hook in the room. My friend asked for a cup of water before the massage and the response was " the water is on the other side of the studio". I even spoke up and asked for more pressure but my masseuse was not interested in the service whatsoever. It seemed like she was forced to be there. This appointment was a few weeks ago, and I'd mentioned multiple times that this was going to be my first massage appointment (not even at this studio, but period!) so that they were aware I wasn't sure of the procedures, if any. I was running close to my appointment time, and called to let them know. The receptionist assured me that it was fine. When I arrived, there was 1 person in front of me talking to her and they were gossiping, essentially - no check in or check out procedure here. I'm given a robe and slippers and no further direction. I change and wait outside the changerooms, expecting someone to direct me. Now 10 minutes late for my appointment, I step out and ask both ladies now at the register for some sort of direction. One lead me to the lounge and ask me to fill out paperwork. I stress (once again) that I am now late for this appointment and need to get in there. She stutters and disappears right as my masseuse walks in, calling me by name. Lost 15 minutes of my appointment time and was not taken care of by the receptionist staff. A really disappointing experience and I will not be spending my money there again. read more
