I got nail fungus on three fingernails in the first month of getting gel nails. at my first maintenance appointment, I noticed dark areas under a couple of my nails and asked what that was and the person said quickly that she didn't know. I was a little suspicious, but didn't realize at the time it was nail fungus. Now I'm having to let them grow out (apparently, can't remove gel nails!!), and am trying to treat the fungus without having access to the whole nail. It will take me many months to get my nails back - if I even can. This is a horrible situation. Don't get gel or acrylic nails ever!!!!!!!! It's common that it leads to nail fungus because the nails can't breathe and they stay moist. read more

Hollie is a very nurturing practitioner and she's highly knowledgeable and experienced. She engaged as much or as little as I wanted to and I felt very cared for and safe in her presence. My mom brought me here as a treat and we got body wraps, mini facials, and mini massages (but maybe the massage was included in the body wrap?). It was an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Angelica and Harmony took great care of us! My mom has taken me to at least 4 different day spas in the area and this was by far and away the BEST ONE we've been to from Ashland to Jacksonville. **My mom just came by to snoop and she agrees that it's the best day spa. "This was one of the best spa experiences I've had!" and I've taken her to a few day spas in the Bay Area that are well known. The spa, just off the main drag of Jacksonville, is a very cute, clean place. When I walked in and was greeted with warm smiles, cucumber infused water, and the "spa smell," I knew we'd be in for a treat. The tables were next to each other vertically so we could talk to each other, but it also allowed for some more privacy than a side by side couples therapy. My treatment started with a dry scrub, which was stimulating to my skin and also very soothing. Then I had a blueberry wrap lotion prep (can you tell I've never had a wrap before?) massaged into my skin. That both relaxed me and got me ready for my body wrap experience. There was massage, application of the lotion, and continual adding of hot/warm towels. Once I was all relaxed and happy, I was wrapped up. Not knowing what to expect I was a little worried I would have gotten wrapped up in saran wrap, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Angelica is running an organic spa which means that the products are natural and wonderful but also that she pays attention to things like "heating plastic is just not good for you." I was also worried that I would be claustrophobic. But Angelica and Harmony were great about asking questions before and during to check in on our comfort level. The wrap "heat" was from the heated pad on the table, the application of many warm/hot towels and then we were "wrapped" with an insulated blanket. Once we were all bundled up then we both got either a massage or a facial - Harmony and Angelica alternated. My massage: Harmony has great hands. She worked out knots that I had all over my body that I didn't even know I had. I had pulled a hamstring the day before and my neck and shoulders were a mess from having little children crawl into my bed at night and I walked out in much better shape! My facial: We went to dinner after the treatment and the first thing my husband said was, "Wow, you look good. Did you get a facial?" Then during dinner my mom kept saying how much better my skin looked. Following these mini-treatments, we were "unwrapped" which included more massage and use of hot towels to remove the blueberry lotion. Worried about becoming dehydrated while you're sweating it out? No worries, Harmony and Angelica make you some icy cold herbal tea brewed and held you drink out of a straw while you're bundled up. My skin looks great, my body feels awesome, and I really enjoyed the entire experience! We also got some skin care products on the way out that I'm excited about trying. So.....if you're up in Southern Oregon or live up in Southern Oregon and are looking for a day spa or service, I highly recommend Angelica's Day Spa! *Oh, my mom got a special on limelight (something in the local paper), but the regular prices are totally reasonable too read more

Just happened to find this little gem of a spa. My husband and I took the kids to the Britt festival for children and were walking around the quaint beautiful town. Saw this spa while we were walking and stopped in on the off chance they had availability. Angela, the owner, was very helpful and prompt. They had a cancellation and my husband had a massage by Harmony and I had a Angela for a facial. THE BEST facial I've ever had. Angela was very knowledgable and VERY nice. She used great product and my skin feels great! She gave great advice that I can use at home. My husband said Harmony gave the best massage he's ever had!
