After my arthroscopic meniscectomy my knee pain was not completely gone. Not being able to be as active as I once was really depressed me. Johanna suggested that I try energy healing. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. After the first session the pain had noticeably decreased. After a few sessions on both knees the pain was 95% gone. I can run pain free again. Johanna helped me recover from a car accident that had a very significant impact on my body. Wow, if you haven't ever had a reflexology treatment, I urge you to see Johanna! It is not like a typical massage- you remain fully clothed and she spends the entire session treating your hands and your feet. But the points she is stimulating communicate with all parts and systems in the body, so she can help with body pain, menstrual cramps, even healing from chemotherapy during cancer treatments. I found her touch to be skillful and intuitive, with just the right amount of pressure. I left the session feeling physically lighter and free of the stress I'd entered with. First off it was great to know the Johanna is an actual accredited reflexologist. The other ones that I have seen or read about do not say whether they are actually accredited or not. Johanna is. I had a 90 minute session with Johanna for extreme stomach craps, back aches (mid and upper) as well as flu like symptoms. I explained this to Johanna during our detailed briefing before the session. During the session she asked if the targeted area that she was working on hurt or if I had discomfort. In certain areas I did because the area she was targeting was in stress and she could tell by the tightness or stiffness in my hand or foot. She worked the stomach, pancreas and spine area effectively and efficiently. After the session was over, she suggested for me to go home, drink lots of water and to rest. I did and let me tell you, that night was the first night in a loooooooooooong time that i was able to sleep all the way through the night. After I woke up, I felt no symptoms of aliment at all. I felt 100% perfect. I was SHOCKED at the immediate relief that I had. I thought I was going to be laid out for the whole weekend. Not only did I feel great, I went out golfing that day. Now my golf game may be the next thing I need her to work on, but , at the least, she gave me the health and strength to get out there and play. This was a really cool massage. To tell the truth, I didn't realize that it was the Western-style reflexology, and had I known I probably would not have come. But I did, and I loved it! Johanna at Reflexology Wellness is excellent, not just with her hands, but also in creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere that begins to heal the moment one walks in! She provides these special little things, like a glass of fresh water to start and a heated table to lie on, and a little pillow to cover one's eyes! It's like a Spa treatment, but better, because one's body is getting healed and energized at the same time. I had hiked 4 miles on Sat and 3 on Sunday---and, I'm so out of shape, every part of my body ached, and after the treatment, it all went away.
