Most importantly, had a grand total of one good comprehensive (therapist provided), rub down at the end. Minus Arnold, they just hold your arm, foot, leg, what have you. I want to be stretched out -- NOT 10 seconds of therapy and 9.5 minutes of holding my body part in the air. I can only imagine what they're charging my insurance co. I was (mis)diagnosed twice, went to several physical therapists, but in just the first two sessions with Tara I saw more improvement than all those other choices combined. She didn't treat the symptoms or the pain...she looked at my entire body/structure holistically and identified four interconnected issues that were behaving like Whac-A-Mole. You will not be working with an intern while she sees 2 other patients, it is really one on one, for a full hour. She has a holistic approach and works with balancing everything in your body, and what is causing the problems, not just the injury you are seeing her for. He adjusts your treatment as you progress, and is kind and encouraging throughout the process. Tom works directly with all of his patients 1:1 rather than delegating much of the treatment to assistants, as I have experienced in other centers. Ironically, while working out at the Westport Y, I have found many others who also see Tom when physical therapy is needed. They were rude, condescending and unfriendly. The last straw for me was when I had to cancel an appointment because my sons school had an emergency early dismissal and I was told I'd be charged a late fee. Such a shame but I'll take my chances elsewhere. There is no room for bad customer service especially in a rehabilitation setting where people are already sick and having a hard time. Such a shame.
