I picked it up without issue and used it until recently when one of my controllers stopped working. I took it in for the protection plan to have that controller replaced and was told that the store could not do this type of transaction, only online service could. I called online service and was promptly told that no, only the store could do this. I went back there and we found that the serial number on the device did not match the number they had in the system and part of their management team promised me a call, which after 10 days never came. I tried calling the store, but that only takes you to their support desk, I assume overseas. I then talked to support again. This time they acted like they could help me. They dug around and found nothing, but while on the call, I did some sleuthing of my own and found the serial number they kept quoting me was on the original online order but the one on my device and companion protection plan was found on my protection plan page. So, I had 2 different serial numbers assigned to my device. One support could see and I could't (until I figured out it was on the order) and one that I could see (the one on the protection plan and my device) but they couldn't see. Worse, I couldn't send support screen captures or do a screen share because, they simply do not do that kind of thing. Ultimately, I'm about to give up. I found a replacement for the controller on Ebay for $65. I should have just bought that in the first place and saved myself 6 hours of aggravation talking to various support and management. I'm completely done with Best Buy and will never return except to possibly pick up a gift card if this ever gets resolved. Addendum: Online Support promised to call me by 7 PM CST tonight, which never happened either. This has been an absolute cluster. Best Buy has lost their edge.

The record store portion of the business featured a very good selection of alphabetically- sorted used rock vinyl, including many import pressings ... as well as a few new LPs (including recent RSD releases). Budget-priced discs were in crates below and behind the primary inventory. They also had some jazz, blues, folk/country, and a few classical records. They even had two different releases by my favorite 60's band, Moby Grape!! While the records alone would have brought me back to this store, fully half of their location is dedicated to high-end hi-fi equipment: turntabless, CD players, amp, speakers, etc. I have been wanted to rebuild my home audio for over 30 years ... but after several major geographic relocations, I no longer knew where to start. Well folks, this is it! Mike, the owner, is extremely knowledgable in all matters stereo - and will demo different set-ups at your request. Very high end, audiophile equipment. My computer was having problems, and I couldn't leave home. Someone drove all the way to where I lived and repaired my computer in a single visit. I was so relieved since I really depended on my computer. The 2nd time was last year when a different computer (a very heavy 27" iMac) needed to go into the shop for repair. There's no way I could have carried the computer, so someone from Computer Solutions came and picked up the iMac and took it to the shop for repair and afterwards returned it. Again, such a relief! The 3rd time was last week. My computer had crashed, and not only was I facing the loss of my computer but, more importantly 10 years of precious data. I had conferred with Apple tech by phone, and they were unable to do anything. I brought my machine to Computer Solutions, and in a very short time they were able to repair my computer and thus preserve all of my data. It felt like a miracle, and I was thrilled. My special thanks to Michael who was so knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. The cost of the repair was much less than I had anticipated and, best of all, my computer was up and running. What a great experience!

The installation was very professional; they had to run some new lines through my garage, but everything they ran was tied up and tucked away neatly. I had the Genie DVR installed, and Dan (owner) sat down with my wife for about 10 minutes explaining all of the features of the remote, DVR service, and DirecTV offerings. All-in-all, it was the best installation experience I've had from any provider. The DirecTV service itself is working great right now as well.
