I purchased a Meta Quest 3 in January of 2025 along with a 2 year protection plan via their website, having it delivered to the FVH store. I picked it up without issue and used it until recently when one of my controllers stopped working. I took it in for the protection plan to have that controller replaced and was told that the store could not do this type of transaction, only online service could. I called online service and was promptly told that no, only the store could do this. I went back there and we found that the serial number on the device did not match the number they had in the system and part of their management team promised me a call, which after 10 days never came. I tried calling the store, but that only takes you to their support desk, I assume overseas. I then talked to support again. This time they acted like they could help me. They dug around and found nothing, but while on the call, I did some sleuthing of my own and found the serial number they kept quoting me was on the original online order but the one on my device and companion protection plan was found on my protection plan page. So, I had 2 different serial numbers assigned to my device. One support could see and I could't (until I figured out it was on the order) and one that I could see (the one on the protection plan and my device) but they couldn't see. Worse, I couldn't send support screen captures or do a screen share because, they simply do not do that kind of thing. Ultimately, I'm about to give up. I found a replacement for the controller on Ebay for $65. I should have just bought that in the first place and saved myself 6 hours of aggravation talking to various support and management. I'm completely done with Best Buy and will never return except to possibly pick up a gift card if this ever gets resolved. Addendum: Online Support promised to call me by 7 PM CST tonight, which never happened either. This has been an absolute cluster. Best Buy has lost their edge. read more

Best Buy have horrible customer service. You can't speak to the manager. They have a service center ( in another country) that is not helpful. I was supposed to get a remote starter put in my car. The equipment went back to the warehouse because I changed the installation date. I was told when I changed the date,it would be ok. I'm SO UPSET!! read more

This past week my old PC died a natural death. I took it to Best buy Geek Squad to make sure I wasn't missing something. The first tech was very kind and he agreed the PC was dead. I went to the computer area and got another salesperson who took a lot of time with me finding a laptop with expandable memory. I took it back to the Geek Squad and they took the old PC and the new laptop to transfer the information. A day later they called to say it was ready. Again, I talked to another Geek Squad member and again, he was very helpful and thorough. I was very pleased with my services. Today, I went back to Best Buy because my husbands wanted to look at ear buds. We were lucky to get Keon Moore to help us. He showed us many of the different earbuds. My husband decided on a set and Keon helped him set it up with his phone and explained every function. He is a techie wizard. Thank you Keon for your knowledge and thank you Best Buy for giving us a two great experiences. read more

I haven't had a bad experience up until now. Recently I made an appointment to take my iPad Air 5th Generation to be fixed since it had water damage from dropping in the tub. Although I took it up there and a younger male who worked in Geek Squad old me that I did not have the full coverage for Apple Care and had to either pay around $400 to get it fixed or $250 for a new one since they were on sale. While that sounded like a good deal it was not. I bought the new iPad the next day and I logged into everything I noticed I DID have Apple Care+ on the broken iPad. So I had to take it up for the 3rd time and talk to someone in Geek Squad again and they said I did have Apple care + and then he said i had to pay a $49 for the iPad 5th Generation i broke and I got it back 3 days later so thank you to whoever helped me the 3rd time! read more

Reviewing Geek Squad inside Best Buy. I had an appointment for 3:20 for a new iPhone battery and checked in at 3:15. Was told they are running about 10 minutes behind and I would receive a text when I was next. Waited around the store until 3:50 and went back to ask about my place in line. Agent said they had double booked appointments and walk ins, hence the wait. (Isn't that the purpose of an appointment?) After another 30 minutes of the agent going back and forth between me and people checking in, walking up and getting immediate service, I was told that I would need to either make an appointment for the battery replacement or leave the phone overnight because there were other jobs ahead of me. Again, I had an appointment for this simple task. After an hour invested, terrible customer service, and no resolution, I left. Geek Squad, you're awful. read more

I decided I needed some gaming headphones. I'm so glad I came here. A nice young man asked if I needed help and when I told him what I wanted he informed me he was a big gamer and knew just what to show me! He was indeed very knowledgeable and patiently explained the best and worse parts of each pair of headphones. I couldn't have had a better person helping me! After listening to all the pros and cons I decided on the one he highly recommended; steelseries-Arctis 5. I tried them out that evening and...Wow...he was right; these are excellent headphones! I tried to have a refrigerator delivered from BestBuy. They had me sitting around for 2 days and then wanted to reschedule for a 3rd day. They had no compassion. They called and said it was on its way. Then they called and said they were running behind because the door on the truck was having issues. Then rhey said they had to cancel and would call me around 8am the next morning. They never called. I called them, and they said well reschedule. No apologies. If I was to review this best buy a couple years ago it would of been a 2-3 stars....only because the location is in a dying plaza and the best buy looked like it was falling apart. But I frequent here recently and I must say best buy has stepped up their game. Most of the store has been remodeled and it looks very nice! They now have a legit appliances area (they always had but it looked so run down). Things are very easy to find here, and everything seems to be much brighter. The staff here is also very helpful and friendly! It's nice to see that they have more staff on the floor! I will deff. come into the store more often vs ordering online. read more

I recently had Geek Squad install/hang a super thin flat screen TV and they did a great job (this from someone who has hung multi TVs,that wanted the new super thin TV hung without any issues!) As with any retailer their warranties cost, however I researched the differences between other big box/club store warranties and the Best Buy Warranty are indeed superior on multi levels. People always point out "well I can buy it here or there/order it from here or there and it may be slightly cheaper" Tip Best Buy will price match *authorized retailers prices (Note not everyone who sells online are Authorized retailers some are gray market items from less than reputable sellers) Technology is something I enjoy/am good at and I use Best Buys services If technology is a challenge for you, they are a great resource! Now with total geek squad protection for your whole home yearly membership there are indeed some money saving features! No store/Staff/Service is perfect but overall I am highly satisfied. ordered an iPad online because it said would be at my house next day. it didn't show up and instead gave me a tracking number which said it would be here in two weeks.. had I known I just would have did in store pick up. We purchased a radio to put in our son's truck for his 16th birthday. When they offer "Free Installation" look out because my son cannot drive his truck now. We have replaced a battery and something keeps draining the battery. We took it back to have them look again to try to find the problem because the truck was working fine before the installation. They can't seem to figure it out. We currently just disconnected the radio to keep the battery from dying. Now we are having to put more money into this truck to have someone else install the radio the right way. Very disappointed even though it is a free installation they should at least make sure the customer is satisfied. We are not satisfied and will not ever use the installation department there again. read more

Put in an online order because staff is unhelpful and typically unavailable and I knew what I wanted. I pulled up to a pretty empty lot submitted the text to say I'd arrived and waited. after about 30 minutes - the site said it would be under 10- I tried to call the store but kept getting routed to the national call center- they were so rude and escalated the issue upset I demanded a supervisor when she had the gall to tell me she wouldn't unless I calmed down. I told her she was making it worse to the point I was going to make a drive thru at this location. I just kept repeating my request for supervisor and she just ended the call. I have a physical disability that make walking pretty painful but I had food in the car so I painfully hobbled into the store where the greeter was not rude but totally ambivalent to my issues. When I complained that I entered my info in the system and been waiting for now an hour(thank goodness it was cold enough outside to keep groceries) he casually tells me that their curbside system hadn't been working properly for weeks not informing them people are out there. I just about lost it but I curbed myself and pointed out that they should not offer the service if it isn't working. He just answered it with a cheesy grin that honestly I wanted to smack off his face. I told him I deserve a rebate for all the grief they caused me (looking for a class action suit) but they did guarantee I would not shop at their location ever again. My last experience there was horrible over a decade ago the last time I was there, but I needed the device and this was the closest location. I figured they couldn't screw up a simple pickup... My AT&T DSL router died and rather than spending an ungodly amount to have them ship me one overnight, I discovered that this Best Buy had one in stock (the other Best Buys did not). I ordered online and did the in-store pickup option. Ordering was a breeze and when the beautiful wife and I arrived at the store, we were quickly helped and on our way. The staff that we interacted with were both super nice and friendly. From Downtown St. Louis, it was a pretty straight shot on I-64 to get here. Not any worse than going to Brentwood. read more

this is an OK overall best buy, it does not have a magnolia room which is very disappointing and there isn't one with a magnolia room close :( they definitely take there time with the service and its hard to get any help back in car stereo. i still like the best buy products and geek squad has never let me down, i have had my speakers replaced a couple times and home theater receiver worked on as well and always pleased. if i am going for electronics i tend to end up here first read more

The clerk yesterday, fully aware I wanted to think about it, didn't mention the sale ending. Have taken my two computers into Geek Squad with OBVIOUS virus symptoms three times now and had them "ready to go" in just a couple of days. Except, the computers weren't really "ready to go". The same problems continued once I got them home. But the customer service, even during COVID-19 is excellent. Even when they were short staffed, I heard a rep trying to get a customer the best deal, even when he didn't have to. Where do I begin? I walked into Best Buy on Tuesday afternoon around 3:50pm. I was dressed in a shirt and tie and not the normal jeans and tee when I go shopping. I walked in the main entrance and nobody greeted me. I walked through the television area two times and stopped to look at the products and nobody said a word. The third time I walked through, an individual who I believe was a Manager was speaking with two employees. I purposely walked in between the three of them and still not a word. I walked into the "damaged section" of the store and did not see one associate. The first interaction or acknowledgement I received was on my way out the door. What has happened to this business? Their customer service was always in the top tier until today. I spoke with my colleagues when I got back to work and two of them echoed similar experiences when they last visited this location. I've never had a remarkable experience with Best Buy until I had to purchase a dryer. I was looking around for maybe a couple minutes when I was approached and asked if I needed assistance. As I've never bought a dryer before, I said yes and he showed me what would be best for what I required. They had an open box item listed for substantially less than the retail value. I chose that dryer and he proceeded to make sure that it met the criteria to qualify for 12 months same as cash on my Best Buy credit card. I originally went to a local car stereo store and the guy there wanted to just replace the amp for $300. As far as sales... They get a 3. As far as customer service I would give them a 2-3 for all the Geek Squad people except Mr. Octavious. He gave stellar service to us even with a 18 month old having a complete meltdown while giving suggestions on how to fix our TV problem. He showed us various methods of ways it might fix our compatibility problem and gave suggestions on how to change the outcome. Very impressed. As far as the other 4 times we came to the geek squad? I have done a lot of business with this location in Fairview Heights, IL, but today, 5.6.2019, I called the store to pick up a major appliance today, but I got such the run around by the young male that answered the telephone. I asked for the appliance department, he kept at me and at me, to tell him what I wanted so he would know who to give the call to? Is he an idiot?? I told him the appliance department, this went on for quite some time, then he put the call thru after a long hold time. I spoke to Butch in that department who took a bit to look it up, to come back to the line, to tell him they don't have any in stock with them, but the warehouse, has 86 in stock????? WOW! might want to put some in the stores, smh.... the only reason that I gave them 2 stars, is the staff in the appliance department use to be really good to work with, now it is awful... read more

This by far is the best Best Buy I have been into in many states. The place is just HUGE! So many sections and it is chock full of electronics and appliances. The staff usually will leave you alone and let you shop unless you approach them for help which is nice. I can spend hours in here roaming around looking for tech to buy. The prices are about what you expect to pay. I currently live in California and the local Best Buy is like being in a small garage compared to the one back home. read more

The most un-informative incompetant store I've ever dealt with. I called and talked to "Berneek"?? Yeah, I prepared myself already... Who informed me of some incorrect policies and then was rude when I asked to talk to a store manager because I couldnt understand her ebonic language. I have a $400 credit because of a warrantied laptop (Which I originally bought for $750) and although I understand the laptop is a year old and thus less"up to date" I expected something a little more fair.
