This company installed a radon system in my home. A year later I started having very high radon levels. I tried to contact the company over several months. Sometimes they would say we'll get back to you and never did. I wanted them to come to my house and provide solution to mitigate. They are the most unprofessional company you can imagine. Here I am in my home with very high radon levels and they could care less. They don't follow up, extremely unprofessional. Stay away from this company. I highly recommend Jersey Radon if you need mitigation. They came to my home to evaluate the same day I contacted them and within 2 weeks came back to mitigate. At first, all seemed good. A scheduled service call installed fan. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. No contract, no warranty, work was not completed. We were told we would be responsible to seal sump hole and hire electrician to install outside outlet (all this was INCLUDED in subsequent radon remediation company for the same price we paid Radon Removal of NJ)! We found this out after 2 months of calling and texting to no avail. And to top it all off, they didnt activate the alarm by pulling the little white tab out of the unit! No follow up test, either, to see whether we actually had,successful remediation. STAY AWAY! read more

After doing a test last week, the levels of radon were higher than we felt comfortable with so I called Radon Removal right after hearing the results and spoke with Jim about my concerns and getting a quote for the system. He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and gave me the peace of mind that they would be able to install the system at and would do so immediately. I scheduled the appointment on Friday of last week and they had Ralph come out this morning (Monday). Ralph was extremely professional, friendly, and answered all of my questions and concerns with confidence. (Being my first time with a radon mitigation system, I had more than a few questions) The install only took about 3 hours and the work looks fantastic! I was concerned with where we could install it, as we only had one spot in the home I felt comfortable putting it, however the work that Ralph did was exceptional, clean, and well done. He installed all the equipment my house needed and explained exactly how it all works. He's personable and professional and his expertise and years of experience are evident. I was left in tears with our radon not taken care of after 3 months of dealing with Jim. Our first 2 appointments were cancelled by him, first for a family emergency and second due to weather. The day before our third appointment, I warned him that there was a lot of snow and asked if it was going to be a problem. He came over later that night and texted saying we needed to shovel a path in order for them to get to the area. It was already late and dark by then, so my husband was going to take care of it the next day. I was woken up the next morning by one of the technicians saying they had a cancellation and could come in 30 minutes (1.5 hours earlier than our original appointment time). I told him we hadn't shoveled yet, and he said "ok". After scrambling to get dressed, I got a text 15 minutes later by the technician saying we needed to shovel. By then I had thought it was "ok" and told my husband that he could go to work. I told the guy that and it sounded like he wanted to reschedule a fourth time. I got my husband back and told the guy that he was going to do it now. It was done within the 30 minutes that they said it would take for them to arrive. Apparently, though, they had already abandoned our job and went to another and said "hopefully" they will be able to come back. I asked if I could get an estimation on what time that would be, and basically got silence. I waited 2 hours before calling, and got no answer. Eventually Jim's assistant said I would receive a call in a few minutes, I waited 1.5 hours with nothing. After 4 hours of sitting in my house waiting for a call or for them to show up, the assistant texted saying that we wasted their time and that they had showed up and nothing was shoveled. I checked 45 minutes of video on our doorbell camera (since I never heard the doorbell ring), and no one had come. If they had, they would have seen the area cleared. She said that they are not going to take our job anymore and that our relationship "will never work out good". I asked if Jim could call me so we could straighten this all out, she said he would, but he didn't. I was never able to actually speak to anyone on the phone throughout this whole ordeal. Jim had known I had a compelling medical reason why I wanted this done quickly. I waited 3 months for my third appointment and was left with nothing, not even a name of another company I could call that works in my area. I was strung along for months, had my time wasted, and was blamed for wasting their time. If they had actually bothered to show up when they said they would, our radon would have been fixed and I wouldn't feel completely defeated by the whole situation. read more
