This place is a shitshow! I came in because I had 2 broken feet. One night alone the nurse,named Tha, gave me the wrong dosage of medication, refused to clarify what she had given me and refused to own her mistakes. Instead she put her ear buds in to ignore me!! Took me 3 hrs to get a different nurse to fix the problem. They even called the police on me for standing up for my right to clarify what I was given before I took it. And that was only 1 night. The nurse then told me that she understood why my ex beat me and my parents wanted to kill themselves the first time they saw me. They only want your insurance money, they don't care about people at all!! Also, the DON ,Ginger, and administrators Jen and Stefani do nothing but gossip about the private aspects of your life and tell staff things that are irrelevant to your care. I've worked in Healthcare for 25+ years and this place was appalling. It took them atleast 3 hours to answer the call light, so I was helping my roommate get to the toilet so she didn't soil herself. One night when an aid actually showed up,she asked him to help her to the toilet and he literally said, just pee in your diaper, which she wasn't wearing, it easier for me to change that. And when you report these rights violations, they lie to your insurance company and tell them you're healed when you aren't so you have t6leave,otherwise pay 365 a day upfront. I really feel bad for the people here who can't stand up for themselves. Now Mike in PT, Jamie in OT and the STNA Aquila are awesome and amazing. They went above and beyond for sure. The STNA Danielle has a horrible attitude. Even the social worker seems crooked. The actives staff, Brittany especially, are all amazing. The nurse Shannon is pretty good and Nurse Charity was very sweet and kind. Sadly ,however, the nurses, DON and administrators are crap. I cannot recommend Rae Ann Suburban. FACILTIY: The shared rooms are tiny. There is room for two beds with two chairs and that's it. They have a small rolling bed table that's nearby that has to hold all of their stuff as well as have space for them to eat. There is not nearby table for them to have things nearby, and most of these people are there for rehab, so they can't easily move around. There is a nice courtyard in the center of the building, if you can find someone to unlock it. THERAPISTS: The Therapists were great. They worked well with all of the patients. They cared about them getting better. She had two (2) sessions per day, and they were always happy to give her some water to take back to her room NURSING CARE: My mother went here after being in the hospital recovering from covid. They NEVER gave her water. She would ask for water, and they would tell her that someone else would bring it. I'm not sure why this is such an issue. At the very least, they can give them water with each meal. The only time she got water was from the Therapists. They left her sitting on the toilet for 45 min (even though she had pulled the cord for assistance), and when the came to get her, she passed out for a few minutes from the effort to stay sitting on the toilet that long. They should never leave a patient sitting on a toilet alone. They didn't give them water, they didn't care if they ate, and they didn't spend any time with them. I was visiting and they came to take her dinner tray away, but they had never given her a tray to begin with. I wonder if I hadn't been there, if she just wouldn't have been fed, because they would've assumed someone else already took her tray. They did come back about 20 minutes later with a tray with a dry cheese sandwich. They later switched from feeding them in their rooms to have them go to the dining room, but didn't tell the residents, so my Mom got no food that day. WHAT?? They said she had to let them know to bring food to her room. What? If she hasn't eaten, you need to feed her. It's a basic need. I live far away from the facility, but when I did visit each week. I tried to leave her food and drinks, so that she would have something, if they didn't give her any food. I also tried to bring in a meal with me, since I know they didn't give her much to eat. She ended up being taken to the hospital via ambulance from Rae Ann Suburban. She was dehydrated and her electrolytes were all out of balance. They had to give her THREE (3) bags of Potassium and Magnesium to get her back to normal, plus she had a UTI. They attributed this to the dehydration. I was actually grateful that she was at the hospital, because they gave her food and water multiple times per day. If she didn't order food, a "house tray" was sent to her room automatically, or they called to check on her. Thankfully, she recovered at the hospital, and we were able to send her to a different rehab center from there. She got great care there and is now back home. I'm scared to think what would have happened, if she had stayed at Rae Ann Suburban. Someone needs to look into their care, because water and food are basic needs that everyone should get without having to plead for it. read more

What a s--thole! Dirty, food horrid. Staff doesn't care. Took 2 1-2 hours to get required meds. They moved fast and efficient enough when I said I was leaving and the knew they weren't getting paid. The owners and management should be embarrassed. Saw staff yelling at informed patients. Place is just filthy, mold in shower, crud in corners. Room not cleaned in the two days I was there. Breakfast one morning was oatmeal, a stale mini don't and a rubbery hard boiled egg! These people just don't care!!! read more

Unprofessional and dirty. Mom had no access to water. She was brought her after being hospitalized for dehydration . Dont answer call lights. Mom has called me crying that she needs help and no one has helped her. Room is so crowded with 2 beds that sometimes we cant open the door because bed is in the way. Definitely a fire hazard. my father in law is basically held prisoner here, as they threaten to make him pay for his "care" by signing himself out..we are working at that now..sadly he ended up in icu at a local hospital because RaeAnn does not clean him up, change his catheter when needed and allow his bag to overflow..no heroes work here..smh. read more

Beware if your elderly parents end up in this facility. We were encouraged by all of the marketing...5 star reports blah blah blah. What we experienced would not even qualify for one star. Perhaps the stars represent what their residents are seeing as they are being overly medicated! Upon taking our mother out of this facility, we found out that they quadrupled the medication she was taking for her dementia! They also changed other meds without consultation or notification. This is elder abuse! We saw our mother in a state of neglect. At a 3 pm visit we found our mother undressed (in a hospital gown) no glasses, and her dentures out of her mouth and in a glass across the room while her lunch sat untouched on her bedside tray. The caregivers we spoke to were defensive, overworked and not caring. Look beyond the marketing, this facility is horrible! read more

Like the other reviewers for 2022, they appear to be short staffed and many in the memory care unit were not trained on how to handle late stages of Alzheimer's disease nor dementia patients. My issue is with the psychiatrist who never steps foot in the place and will drug your loved one without your knowledge. By the time you find out, it may be too late. He has a nurse visit the patient by phone, not video, without your knowledge and charges your health provider for the visit. He doesn't care about your loved one and will ensure your loved one is drugged to the point of zombie if they become agitated or combative. I, however, was able to work with the staff and change the Dr. and drugs, but it was too late and my spouse passed away within 92 days of being there. Found out later that the same thing happened to another spouse with Alzheimer's disease (during covid) and she died as well within 90 days. If you have a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, look elsewhere. For those who posted and you had guardianship and had no knowledge of what was going on, please contact the State of Ohio Ombudsman and file a claim. The nursing home is not obligated to inform you unless you have or had guardianship. read more

My grandfather is in here recovering from a stroke. We went to visit and he was calling loudly for help to use the bathroom. His station is right next to the nurse's station and I went out to tell someone, and the nurse was rude...and didn't ask an aide to help until we asked a second time five minutes later. I'm thinking the nurses here are overworked, but to be rudely told off and made to be felt like I was out of line for asking for help...it made me feel like garbage. My grandpa's mood is way worse here than in his other nursing home. read more

I have a family member there "recovering" from the flu and pneumonia. Though I have not seen any problems with things being unclean,there are many reasons for concern. First she is given food she is not eating, they do nothing but just come back later and take away the uneaten food. When the nurse call button is pressed it can take an hour or more for someone to come. The doctor only visits her twice a week. They seem woefully understaffed. When the doctor issues orders it can take 12 to18 hours to get implemented and that is only with family pressure. She injured her wrist there and it is very swollen and painful and they do nothing . When asked by a family member about it they say that they can do nothing without a doctors order -- which makes sense-- but in a quality caring establishment you think they should take the initiative to call the doctor or at least 911. Sitting there and allowing someone who can not care for themselves to be in pain is unacceptable. Family members should not have to sit vigil to get care and it is still a fight. I wonder how much they bill the taxpayer through Medicare for this kind of care? I hope my family member does not die there! read more

I hate to complain but I tried to do this the right way first. The problem is they don't have a listing for Rae Ann Suburban on Yelp so I am posting it here. let me first start out by saying that the staff is amazing when I say staff I mean the nursing staff, the aides, the people that work at night the people that work during the day we're all fantastic and there for me pretty much anytime I needed them. I was there long enough to learn all their names but I can't list them all cuz I would run out of space. But that being said I would like to comment on the billing and people that handle intake, I'm very disappointed, I was told one thing and received another, they refused to give me treatment unless I paid a bill up front because at the time I had applied for insurance and hadn't been accepted yet. So to get the care I needed we paid the bill up front and was told that we would be reimbursed, that never happened. When I called the main billing office and talk with the supervisor I was told that the insurance company did not pay for physical therapy, when I called the insurance company they told me that the person that was supposed to authorize it never called into find out nor did they send the bill to insurance for PT. I was told that "at least I'm walking and received care" so I guess the $500 that we gave them in good faith in case insurance wasn't approved was a freebie, for them... I just now got back to work and trying to catch up with my bills I'm trying to get back to a normal life and the extra $500 would have helped a lot. I'm just curious how many other people they did this to. Again great staff, don't trust admin... If they handle there business and do what's right I'll change my opinion, till then, beware read more

This nursing home is a joke!!! My girlfriend worked there for 2 years. She constantly complained about how the other women that worked there treated the elderly. STNA's would leave elderly people is old diapers and wouldn't change for hours. They are always understaffed and refuse to add enough help to properly care for patients. They would never allow employees to take a break even though it was always deducted from their paychecks. The people that run the nursing home treat employees horrible which is why they have an unbelievable employee turn over. If you are considering working here or putting a family member to live here... Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of headaches and find another nursing home. read more

Awful! My mother was there, and thankfully is in a better facility now. The nurses are lazy and can't be bothered, there is little interaction with the patients, they just put them in the hall. I witnessed and made a complaint regarding a women who works in the dining hall who would literally yell at the elderly. The cooks would cuss and yell. If you can, in my opinion, find a better, kinder and safer place for your loved one. read more

This place is a fucking joke. Everyone here is unprofessional and lazy. They only care about about making money, not the residents. Anyone who's friends with the higher ups gets away with everything. Five to six aides at at time will go on break, leaving their residents alone for thirty to forty minutes at a time. Half the time the residents will need help getting on or off the toilet and they dont care. They leaving them in their briefs for hours and never change them You are worked to the bone here and never get paid what you deserve. Dont work here or put your family members here. read more

This place is amazing! Please do not confuse it with Rea-Ann Westlake down the street, which is horrible! Rae-Ann suburban is the complete opposite. The second I walked into the facility, I knew it was the right choice. It's bright, clean, and beautiful, with a gorgeous garden patio to visit with your loved one. My sister is doing so much better here. She is clean, more relaxed, and the sores she acquired at Rae-Ann Westlake which were not healing, are healing so much better already! Everyone there from nurses, administrative staff, to aides are amazing. Friendly and competent! I visit at different times of the day and every time I've gone I see staff treating her with respect, kindness, and gentleness. Its a beautiful place with sunlight and beautiful views from everywhere! I just knew in my gut it was the best decision we have ever made to move her from Rae Ann Westlake (horrible) to Rae Ann Suburban, and I was so right. I feel confident and at peace with my sister there. read more
