Wow. Please beware. I never write reviews but man.... Here goes. She comes recommended from Free Love Bridal. After my first apt, she does nothing. Second, nothing. She moans and complains about how many brides she has. Half of the fittings appointments you can tell nothing was done to my dress. Every time there pins were still in the same place. One of the fittings that I went to that was 3 days before my wedding, not only did she not remember having me that day for an appointment (even though I saw her write it down on her calendar) LOL. WHAT A WOMAN SHE NEEDS TO RETIRE. I'd you are a bride, DO NOT GO TO HER. My grandmom ended up coming in and redoing all the work she never did. 0/10 recommend. BEWARE. read more

This is my first review of anything...that's how bad this was. I decided not to go with Maria as my wedding dress seamstress. She got super angry- it was so unprofessional. She tore every pin she put in out, took my dress to the back, and all I heard were sizzling sounds. After all that, she threatened to steal my wedding dress if I didn't give her $50 for her time. I have only used this tailor once recently. To hem pants and a skirt was 25.00 each. I was notified of the cost on the receipt when everything was written up. I also needed a new elastic waistband for a skirt. No cost was written on the receipt. When I picked up they charged me 55.00 to put the new elastic in! This is price gouging! I told the owner they overcharged me for this. His response was we work hard. Don't go here! The average price for an elastic waistband is 18.00-20.00! I just asked another local cleaners/tailoring. My husband lost weight and while we were on vacation he needed 6 pairs of pants brought in. We decided since he was off work to have Raffaele to do this. The only thing that needed done was his wasteline needed brought in on 6 pairs of pants. We went to pick them up and found out that our balance would be $330. For 6 pairs of pants!!! Maybe our fault for not asking the price ahead of time. But who would have thought that the cost for such a simple job would exceed the cost of buying brand new pants and then some????? I'm sure Maria and her husband do beautiful work but they do not know how to inform their clientele of their price ranges. The dress I wanted altered only required minimal alterations and when she informed me of the price, it was well over my budget. When I went to pick up my dress after letting her know via phone that I changed my mind and was planning to take it elsewhere, she charged me $50.00 for the 20 min it took her to pin back the top portion of my dress and cut a small portion at the bottom of my dress. She told me she won't work with me ever again, that she's the best of the best, and that no other seamstress will ever do what she does. She was very arrogant and made me feel like I'm immature and ignorant just because I decided not to go through with her working on my dress. Instead of being informative and professional, she judged me right away and immediately charged me the second I walked in. It's cash only and she does not give customers a receipt. I had to walk to an ATM a few blocks over to take out $50 dollars to give her. She was nasty with me because I decided to take my dress elsewhere that better fits my budget. I've never gotten service from any business that does not offer receipts. Lesson learned. read more
