The barber (Omar) apologized. I showed him a picture of what I wanted for my son's haircut (11yrs.) and informed him that we have picture day on Monday. I am not sure if I did not use the correct terminology (low cut fade), however that is not what we received. I was not pleased with the haircut. I paid him, tipped then left. School photos were scheduled for the following Monday. Maybe another barber would have been best. He did not trim anything off the top or shape the hair just a simple line up for $40.00. My son's hair grows fast so I will need to revisit another barber during the week to for a proper cut. I am a mom and know what looks good and by providing a photo, I assumed it would look just like shown. Perhaps he could have made a recommendation to go lower on the sides or take some of the bulk off. My son has curly hair. Everyone else receiving service came out looking great. Just our luck, I guess. The owner perhaps can turn this into a teachable moment for his barber on consultation and suggestions. I should have read the reviews prior to coming. Hope this helps someone else; comments truly provide pause for thought.

I went to a handful of "master barbers" throughout the Dallas area which didn't really "cut it" (pun intended). I scheduled my appointment with Tui and showed her a picture of the cut I wanted. She asked a couple of questions about my hairstyle and she started cutting my hair. End result was fantastic! Tui is not only amazing barber, but also an amazing person. I also saw that they do kids, so right before school started, I decided to give them a try for my son Forrest. I came in with my two daughters and my son, so yes... it was basically all of us girls walking into a barbershop full of men but everyone made us feel completely comfortable from the second we walked in. We showed them a reference picture of the haircut we wanted, and they did an amazing job. It didn't take forever, the price was great, and most importantly, Forrest felt comfortable the entire time. He wasn't nervous or scared at all. What I really liked was that they were kid-friendly without making the whole experience feel overly babyish. He got to sit in a real barbershop, get treated like one of the guys, and still feel safe and comfortable. It honestly felt like such a better fit for him than one of those super kid-themed haircut places. I got my hair cut by Mustafa, and he went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. It did not disappoint. I'm only visiting, but if I weren't, this would quickly become my go-to spot for haircuts. They can cut all kinds of hair.
