Every time I get a haircut here I walk out disappointed. No matter the instructions I give the stylist, they always cut my hair shorter than I would like. I pass by a dozen barbers on the way that would give me the exact same haircut for less. I'm a fool to keep coming back here and expecting different results each time. read more

This is an OK place. It was entirely a three star experience. It was priced like a five star experience, so the incongruity between price and experience was pretty profound. They lean heavily into the dark wood and leather of a men's club or an executive office from the 1940s. I'm not sure that it particularly works, but it's interesting. Haircut was good. read more

Cancel. Cancel. Cancel. I would say 3 of every 5 of my husbands pre-booked appointments get canceled. I have heard the same from other women whose husbands go here. Often there is no reason given and the stylist the just works him in later at a time that is convenient for them (and not convenient for him). He gets a good haircut from one of the stylists but when he had to go to another, the haircut was terrible - to short, not belnded at all. Took a risk and walked in on a rainy Saturday. No one was waiting and two stylists could be seen sitting. I was told they were fully booked and had no further availability for the day. This was around 12:30pm. I'd understand if there were people waiting but this didn't appear to be the case. You'd also think for a place that is going to be charging $75+ for a hair cut and beard trim that things would be a smidge more professional looking. Staff in sweats and on phones. Not sure if there is a dress code or anything here. Overall, I'm not disappointed that I wasn't able to get my hair cut here. But I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone going here. read more

I was promptly greeted as I entered the store and offered my choice of a beverage. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were available. Immediately I noticed the theming of the store... as a 1960s boardroom in a large unnamed corporation. Wood paneling everywhere and some scattered items (a chess board, a billiards table) added to the theme. Okay, but can they cut hair? Moreover, is their $45 "express cut" worth *three times* what I paid for my last haircut at a barber? I was greeted by the stylist and seated promptly. She listened to my requests regarding how I wanted my hair cut. She spent a lot more time on my hair than I would expect at a discount place or a barber. For someone with as little hair as I do, they are trying hard to make sure their service is worth the money. Classic rock tunes played throughout the cutting area. During the cutting session, she told me about different packages, including pre-paid packages, that were available. While I was a captive audience, having her explain these things while the buzz of clippers were right next to my ears made for a difficult listening experience. Hand me one of the many fliers at the front of the store and be done with it. I was then led to another area where they showed me other service areas (e.g., waxing, massage, coloring, etc.) and then washed and conditioned my hair. The conditioning came with a bit of a scalp massage, which I rather enjoyed. The music in the back area was a relaxing Zen-like music, in stark contrast to the classic rock in the main area. It felt a bit jarring going from the relaxing scalp massage to the styling chair again just due to just the music. I'm a little conflicted about this place. I want to like it, but like other themed hair-cutters, I don't buy into the theme. It seems to be a bit too much "Austin Powers" or "The Kingsman". That adds a bit of machismo that may appeal to many but is somewhat of a turnoff for me. I get it... I do. I understand why they would theme the place as such -- to help minimize the feeling that you're in a froofy, woman's salon. Then again, SportClip's sports-themed machismo doesn't appeal to me either. Bottom line: The $45 haircut was borderline worth it. I would call this place an extravagance for me. I will probably visit at least once more. read more

Worst experience I've had in a hair salon . These people don't take responsibility for their errors. I had a haircut at the end of May 2022 with Shea and got cut with scissors along my sideburn . I did not realize how much I had been cut until I got home and looked at it. I had a flap of skin hanging down ! I noticed that when Shea was washing my hair she kept putting pressure and trying to wash that area and kept saying "oh it's nothing". I had to travel that night so I called the store next day for several days to let them know and no one ever called back. When I came back from my trip, I asked to speak with a manager and they asked that I send them the photos so I did . NEVER heard back from them at all. Over 2 months of trying to heal the wound to prevent scar . They never offered any first aid at all . My healing could have been reduced if proper steps to clean the site would have been taken. I understand accidents happen but take ownership of your mistakes ! I DO NOT recommend this place for their lack of professionalism. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. But sadly, this is one of the most expensive ($45), TERRIBLE haircuts I've gotten in a long time. From the word go, the gal just didn't seem to get what I was after, and as a result, I left in more desperate need of wearing a hat then when I came in. It's so bad, that I'm going to have to go somewhere else tomorrow, just to see if they can salvage the hatchet job. The place is clean and very slick looking, I'll give them that, but the bells and whistles don't really matter if the people doing the work don't know how to cut hair. I brought my dad here as he was in dire need of a haircut. We scheduled an appointment they day prior and the lady on the phone was helpful and courteous. We showed up the next day on time and they seated my dad after waiting about 5 minutes. They did a nice job with his hair and treated him well during his cut. They did offer us both water while I waited and while he had his hair cut. The cut took about thirty minutes and his hair stylist was very nice. The price is a little expensive for a regular cut but the place is very nice and the staff are professional and kind. read more

Very nice place, but you're just paying for the decor. The hair cut was on par of an average stylist, but nothing to write home to mom about. For $60 bucks it was nice, I didn't feel the stylist knew how to cut men's hair better than a person at sports clips. They were very polite and the environment was relaxing. A premium price for premium decor and a on par haircut. I was looking for a premium hair cut. Now the bad part, don't ever get a manicure or pedicure at this place, period. I sent my 16 year old son for an Express Cut. He came home complaining that his stylist didn't pay much attention to his cut and that his side burns are uneven, which they are. Of course the 16 year old won't say anything when he's there, He wants his dad to fix it at home. So, I called to let them know and ask who cut his hair so we don't get her again. I dont think you should trust all of the positive reviews from people with only one or two reviews - they are doing it for $20. The stylist that serviced me was legally blind, with very rough hands which she had to keep using to try and avoid cutting my ears. I noticed the glasses - I just thought they were stylish. But twice she actually wandered over and began cutting the hair of the person seated beside me! If I had known, I would have NEVER asked for the straight edge razor cut! First time visit on a referral from a friend. Online appointment was convenient and the stylist was prompt. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Slightly disappointed with the fact that the beard trim is not done with a straight razor. My stylist did a decent job with clippers. I was kinda concerned with the level of comfort with over curly hair texture. I will keep the boardroom on deck as a backup but will go to 18|8 primary because they use the straight razor and hot towel for the beard trims. Last summer, I went in for a pedicure and April was great. She was friendly and did an adequate job. Personally, I could have paid 1/2 the price and gotten a better job elsewhere but again, April was friendly and she tried. The problem was: when I checked in (at 12:50pm) for a 1pm appointment, I waited until 1:20pm. And when I checked out, I was completely ignored by who appeared to be the manager Kimm (the older lady up front). It wasn't busy during that time (there were two total customers, including me), but I guess she was too busy surfing the net or deciding on what to order for lunch. I provided this feedback online to the owner of the chain. While he was great in trying to remedy the situation, Kimm got really defensive over email. They need to realize this is a service industry and that I could have gotten a better pedicure from a $10 Ped-Egg. I am their core demographic they're catering to but in light of the events, I will not go back. If I wanted to be ignored, I'd just hang out at a random government office somewhere and save myself some money. Just because they have beer, a pool table, and a couple of big screen TVs, does not make it worth the money they're charging. read more

I am a regular here. The quality of the haircut is really good. However, I think the front desk could use some training. If a stylist is out unexpectedly, the basic expectation is you call all appointments for the day and let them know. Your customers work their day around that. Overall very disappointed, especially considering the $45 price tag for a simple haircut. When making an appointment online, the descriptions for the "Express Cut" says 30 minutes, which I presumed would be a reasonable estimate for how long the haircut would take. Instead, it was a strict cutoff. The haircut was rushed; longer bits of hair left protruding from the sides, an uneven and quickly cut top, and one side of my head cut an inch higher than the other. And sure enough, my appointment lasted 28 minutes. I wish more time had been put into sectioning and cutting the hair so I wasn't left with an uneven haircut that will take months to grow out. read more

Sorry, never again. Husband was excited to go, but was extremely disappointed. Got an appointment in 45 minutes, so we waited. They offered him something to drink. I was with him- they didn't greet me, didn't offer me anything, didn't even notice me or talk to me. Like I'm not even there. Completely ignored. Then another 15-20 minutes later it was his turn. He said he had to sit back so uncomfortably that he was in ( neck/back pain ) and had to seat himself differently. He said he had the feeling that she didn't really know what she was doing. Like as if she was an absolute beginner. After like 10-15 minutes he was ready and looked awful. He had hair everywhere- she wasn't even able to clean him from that. The "cut" was horrible. It wasn't even a cut. Because that's what he wanted. Edges weren't clear at all, hair everywhere, she even cut a visible "hole" into the mustache with "too long" beard hair around it so it's even more visible.
