When I agreed to an earlier appointment, they called me an hour before and asked me to come in later due to them taking a walk in. Edit: less than 15 minutes after posting my review I was contacted by Melissa who gathered some more information from me and offered a complementary shampoo and blow dry. While my initial experience was distasteful, this level of customer service makes me want to give Barbero a second chance. I was quite unhappy with my recent visit to Barbero Men's Grooming. I will start with the positive aspects of my visit; the hair stylist was professional and knowledgeable, my hair didn't look bad even though I didn't get the cut I requested, and the hot towel and shampoo was very soothing. Now the negative experience I had was partly made worse by the $75 price tag of the cut, which would have been an acceptable price aside from the other problems I had. First, the stylist did not cut my hair the way I requested, cutting the hair too short in the front and sides while leaving the back long. Second, a customer came in with a non-service dog which was allowed to roam at the end of its leash and put its head in my lap during different times during the cut as well as jumping on me when I got up for the shampoo and licking my legs at times. None of the staff addressed this behavior, and the owner only casually pulled the dog back just to let it come back again. read more

Insanely overpriced for a mid quality cut (being nice) Spent $135 out the door to get a hair a beard trim when I could have gotten twice the quality for half or even less this price in Dallas. Floyd's88 cuts are way better than this imo and that is a mid tier place. Nice people and nice building. But everything after that is just unpleasant. Will absolutely never come here again. My real barber (who cuts Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks players) would be $80 out the door and have a real fade. I have maybe 1-2" of fade then terrible everything else. Super disappointed. Top of my hair is way too long. My beard was hardly touched other than lining up a bit. I am astounded that this took 1.5 hours to complete. Dude spent 30-40 minutes fading by my sideburns and that's about all the fade I got. I cannot believe this is the price they charge, as well as having no deal for getting a cut and a beard trim. 2/5 is being nice in my opinion. Their lowest tip option is 30% btw. I don't think a hand shake at the door and asking if you want a drink is worth any of this. Edit: You boast about quality while bashing Floyd's. But I have never once had bald spots behind my ear or uneven hair on my head after going to Floyd's. Which I only mentioned Floyd's because that is what I consider a mid tier cut. Which has always been better quality than what I received at your incredible establishment. This has nothing to do with my barber. I saw your shop and high reviews and gave it a go while I was in town. But I will indeed not return. Nice try trying to twist my words and act like you know what I am thinking definitely not something you'd hear from such an incredible establishment. I will apologize about my total as I assumed the $98 would be taxed (bank statement still only shows $98 so I am not sure what else to go off of) I have bald spots behind my ears. My sideburns are not evenly faded. Next to my eyes above my sideburns are completely different lengths on each side. My beard was hardly thinned out at all. I included a photo and showed a video of what i like. I am not about to make my 1.5 hour haircut into a minute longer. How is this considered quality? I am genuinely curious. read more

After seeing the stellar reviews here, I thought I'd get a haircut here myself. My first impression of the place was good: I was greeted immediately even though I arrived a bit before my appointment, and I was offered a beverage. It then took 15 minutes after my scheduled time for my haircut to begin. Not a big deal as the place did seem busy at the time, but not something I was too happy about either. As for my haircut, I asked for a tapered fade (later changed to full fade) with a textured fringe. The fade itself was done very nicely, nothing to complain about there. However, I felt that the fringe, arguably the most important part, was cut far too short. To me, it felt closer to a buzzcut than a fringe... I felt horrible after seeing the result, but I didn't want to say anything negative to my hairdresser as he had just spent over an hour cutting my hair and was super nice. Anthony is passionate barber that takes great pride in his craft/art and it shows with the experience he's created at their new location. Sleek atmosphere, clean and distraction-free (read: no contrived "man cave" atmosphere, no BS pool tables, etc.) and skilled staff, you can tell Barbero is focused on the customer experience from start to finish. Was traveling for business and came across Barbero as I wanted a nicer barber experience and it did not disappoint! The parking lot can be very busy and spaces might be difficult during peak hours. Easy to set up an appointment through their website, and was greeted with choice of beer or whiskey. Jordan was my barber and was one of the kindest guys you'll ever hope to meet. He was all about the attention to detail in the cut, And I left feeling great! You'll pay quite a bit for your experience here, but it's well worth it in my opinion. I got a hot towel head shave and beard service which clocked out at $115 including tax and tip. Will I return? Absolutely, when my travels take me to DFW this will be on my list! read more
