Avoid Rafii and Associates at all costs! My experience with this firm has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was misrepresented and took a staggering five years to get a settlement on just one of my three cases. The other two are still pending arbitration against Lyft, and I feel completely abandoned. Daniel Rafii recommended I take an advance loan from High Rise Financial without disclosing the insane APR. Now, I have to pay that back separately, which was never made clear to me. It feels like a trap designed to profit off of clients. Throughout this process, I felt like they cared more about their fees than my well-being. They charged me double for medical bills and took a massive 33.3% contingency fee, leaving me with a fraction of what I should have received. To top it all off, they dropped me as their client, claiming I was unresponsive. That's a flat-out lie! I emailed them weekly, and they only responded when they needed my signature. This firm has shown a complete lack of professionalism and integrity. They promise to take care of you but instead rob you of both time and money. They can go years without providing updates and if you called the customer service guy he'll tell you " don't start a fight you're not gonna win" which basically gives you insight that you're not in control of communication and his lack of confidence in his own team. They are reckless, unethical, and only care about their own financial gain--not their clients' well-being. During my case, I was diagnosed with blood clots and was at risk when considering epidural injections. Instead of prioritizing my health, Cynthia, who was handling my case at the time, advised me to lie about chest pain just so I could get emergency clearance for the injections. This was not only unethical but incredibly dangerous. The stress of dealing with this firm over three years took a serious toll on my family. (Not towards Bibi because I do appreciate her calling my insurance as soon i told her my car wasn't repaired yet so they could start the process of repairing.) Then the collision center told me that had it been a couple more months my car wouldn't have been able to be repaired under insurance due to waiting so long. In March of 2023 I fell when some stairs I was walking down broke under my feet causing me to suffer some significant injuries. I have never been in a position like this and I trusted that Rafii and associates would look out for my best interest and help me (as they promised) locate medical care and to recover what I had lost in income etc After assurances were made, and In good faith I made the decision to hire Rafii and Associates thinking that they would advocate for me during a time when I was vulnerable and in need of help. Two and a half years later I am nearly bankrupt, in danger of being evicted from my apartment, my state disability has run out, I have lost nearly every thing, I am in constant debilitating pain, and no one at this law firm seems to care AT ALL. I have been through multiple "case managers" (and their assistants) as of July 1,2024, twenty seven (27) months later I am still in need of medical care, in the last two and and a half years I have been to the emergency room over 18 times and as of today July 1 2025 I have zero idea what is happening with my case because I cannot get anyone to return my calls. I have attempted to call the case manager, the attorney, the office manager and even Randy who I believe is a customer service person? I have been promised returned calls without follow through, further medical treatment, physical therapy, etc I guess I'm out of luck. The last time I called I asked for the the case number from the court filing and I couldn't even get an answer on that. I guess that If they haven't filed the case in court by now I am definitely out of luck because it has been over two years since the accident. I have not had an update regarding my case in months, and any communication I've had regarding my case has been initiated by me or my daughter. Every time I called to speak to my Attorney or the manager in charge I was told someone else was in charge of my case. After 2 years into my lawsuit I had at least 3 different Attorneys handling my case. By the time my case ended I had gone through 5 Attorneys. Rafii & Associates tried to drop my case until we went to court and the Judge denied their request. The Judge told Attorney Rafii they started my case and had to see it to the end. They were really surprised when the judge told Attorney Rafii I was standing in her courtroom, they thought just because I lost my home, my job, I lost everything after my accident. So when I showed up for court Attorney Rafii tried to tell the Judge that they couldn't reach me since I was homeless. And the judge said "what do you mean you can't reach your client, your Client is standing right here in my courtroom with mail you sent her in her hand" the Attorney didn't know what to say so the Judge denied their request. It took 5years to finally end my case and all that waiting just so they can take all my money and left me with nothing, and I am the one who is suffering and lost everything til this day I still have a lot of pain in my knee, neck and back. I have had a case for almost a year and have had 3 different case managers with zero information every time I ask for it. The "supervisor" Veronica is absolutely clueless anytime I ask her for information. I've been asking since the beginning of my case for another doctor and either these people are deaf or incapable of using their ears because my concerns have been ignored consistently. They sent to to a chiropractor for my wrists which did nothing. I've asked for over 6 months to be sent to a physical therapist or someone along those lines for my wrists, with no avail. Veronica claimed to be explaining the situation but all she did was repeat the same sentence 6 times and kept saying I don't know. I am not supposed to be chasing the people on my case. This office is a mess and I asked to close my case. I was told there's no set attorney on my case but they wait till I'm pissed off to try to give me an attorney. This place is joke. Although I am not satisfied with their lack of professionalism after my case manager Jennifer left, I do have to say when she was here it was good! After putting this review up and filing a complaint to Juliana's supervisor, she was still on my case which I was not happy about. Juliana used to be Jennifer's assistant and she was good but I don't know what happened once she got promoted. Aside from this Bibi did take over as my new case manager although Juliana was still part of my case team. Bibi was so attentive and on top of it things which I do appreciate and attorney Dan was very helpful and informative towards the end. Update 02/02/2024: Bibi became my new case lead, I was transferred to her without my knowledge. However, she did give me a call to make me aware of the change. Juliana does still work there so not sure if she dismissed my case under her care or I was transferred since I wasn't satisfied with her service (details below). Bibi so far is doing a great job! She is on top of my case and if she doesn't have an answer to my questions, she asks her upper management or has the attorney call me. Attorney actually called! All my questions and concerns have been answered so far. Bibi does call back when she says that she's going to call back and gets back to me if I am not able to reach here. I have been set up to my doctor's appt and am fully aware with detail of my case. Randy has also reached out and heard me out. I made him aware of how I felt and let him know that the service has gone down hill recently and how frustrated I felt. I am actually glad he reached out because what if my experience didn't change? At least I would be able to speak to someone and let him know how my experience has gone downhill. Slowly things are going back uphill. My rating went from 1/5 to 2/5. The second one was in 2022, currently waiting to schedule appts after seeing the doctor which took 1 year for them to schedule him with me. It took more than 6 months to get an MRI that doctor's been requesting to get done. If I don't call continuously then my case doesn't move forward and I don't know anything about my cases. After Jennifer left things did go downhill. Juliana has taken over my case, she was doing a great job at first but then she stopped answering my phone calls or calling me back. I got passed on to her supposed assistant who is a male (I forgot his name) and he was extremely rude to me. He made it seem like I was in the wrong and that I'm exaggerating. I had to report my case lead Juliana to her supervisor so my case could continue moving forward and obtaining more details on it. When speaking to her supervisor Veronica A my case finally began to move forward which was great. However, now that I saw the doctor, I haven't received a call from them to continue the next steps. I did call them three days after my appointment to let them know I had seeing doctor and what he requested, Veronica let me know that they'll call once they get the paperwork which should take a week. It's been almost two weeks and nothing. I called and no one answered. I'm really disappointed how things have turned out with this company and the lack of care with my cases. I'm sure they won't mind taking the compensation percentage in seconds for taking on my case, but to get back to me and take care of my case, pain and complaints takes months. They immediately sent us to doctors and chiropractors and when we had issue with the doctor we were seeing, they offered an alternative.
