We literally left the raft at the ramp and walked over and checked out . We booked on a Sunday first raft to go out . While they loaded the van and we signed our papers and paid the fee we found out The owners relocated from Vegas in the 80's to shady cove and we are from Vegas so that was cool and awesome conversation while waiting . They take you about 12 miles up to the fish hatchery which is about 17 miles on the river on the way up the driver gave us some pointers for our rafting down pointed out the store / pit stop (they had ropes tied to the trees) very informative!! Once we were in the water (45 min after booking time ) it took us about 3 hours to complete . The trip down was amazing ! The view was beautiful. Lots of wild life ! We seen a lot of deer along side the river drinking or eating berries, a big bird grab a fish out the river , a few fish jump here and there . The water was refreshing and clear . The flow was good the rapids were perfect nothing to crazy but a few spots get pretty interesting made the trip fun . Definitely will be doing this again next time we visit !

I have been on several guided trips and each was its own experience with the different guides. Back at the store, they have all you need for a wonderful experience on the river. In the Deli section the food is outstanding. The lunches are delicious and a permanent stop for us on the mornings we leave, just to get a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee. If you are ever in Shady Cove and are a fisherman or just passing through looking for a sandwich, a cup of coffee or a cold drink, I highly recommend you go in say hello and enjoy the experience. When we asked for help, the worker brushed us off, refused to spend even two minutes trying to resolve the issue, and drove away saying they'd be back in 30 minutes leaving us their completely alone. But, honestly, I've been coming here for over 15 years and have always had a friendly, helpful personable experience and found them to be the cheapest most reliable place to grab a raft for the day. I've never had a bad raft nor has the shuttle van ever broken down or had any other mechanical issue. They've been johnny on the spot for both drop off and pick up as well. So if you're a prissy princess, or a ritzy out of towner/city person this may not be up your alley. They do not have a Starbucks on site. They don't care what kind of car you drive or where you live or what kind of purse you're carrying. In fact if that's your thing, you may not even enjoy rafting the rogue. I repeat... NO STARBUCKS! BUT, if you can drop all that pretentious BS and are ready for a simple day of fun then I would highly recommend giving raft rite a shot at hooking you up with gear to float the Rogue down to Shady Cove.

A small convenience store with a hot food window is a perfect 1/2 way stopping point while rafting the Rogue River toward Shady Cove. Inside the store it is a bit cluttered and tight, but they've got everything you'll need to replenish and recharge your batteries. We easily found some chocolate and strawberry milks for the kids and some takis and a decent selection of Mikes Hard in the cooler. Hot foods include: hot dogs, corn dogs , veggie burgers, hamburgers and cheeseburgers ($5.50, double cheese burger $6.50). The food is decent with all the fixings available. After paddling, swimming and soaking up the sun, a good burger along with an ice cold beer seems to taste EVEN better than normal. The best part of it all is all the picnic tables along the riverbank to just sit back, chill and enjoy your grub. Oh yeah, don't forget to use they're old school outhouse up the path and to the left of their store before you go! It's a memorable experience! #thegoodlife

The rafting itself was amazing with a variety of rapids and scenery. We saw a lot of wildlife around the lodges and during rafting. Our guides made great lunches which we devoured at gorgeous locations along the river banks. The front desk staff that helped with our reservations as well as pre and post trip lodge accommodation at Morrions lodge were nice. Shout out to Lisa for everything she did to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend the rafting as well as the morrison lodge. We will be back soon

I have a group of friends who do hiking trips together every few years, and this year we picked…read moreMorrisons Rogue River hike with support from guides on rafts. Booking the trip was relatively straightforward, but Morrisons highly encouraged us to do trip insurance because they don't offer refunds, which should've been the first red flag. Before I go too far, I do want to give a huge shout out to our guides Drew, Adam, and Johnny. They were amazing, and if I were rating just them, this review would be 5++ stars. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cared about us and our hike. The rest of the Morrison's staff...not so much. There was an active wildfire in the area before we started the hike. We talked to Morrison's several times in the days leading up to the trip (before we flew out) and even asked about rebooking the trip for a different time, when the forest in the area wasn't on fire. We were assured that even though they were planning a few modifications to our itinerary (i.e. at least one day of rafting instead of hiking), they were confident that it would be a wonderful trip. Fast forward to the end of day 2 of our trip...and they had to cancel the rest of the 4-day hike due to safety concerns and, ultimately, a mandatory evacuation. To be clear, I'm not upset that we were pulled out of the woods, as that was an obvious safety decision. I'm mad because we specifically asked about rebooking for different dates and were told no. Morrison's got us back to their main lodge the following morning, at which point they considered themselves done with us. There was no refund, no help finding rooms for the night, and the last lodge we were in literally wouldn't even let us use the bathroom in the hour we were waiting for vans to get us back to safety. Morrison's did at least send us all an official email about the trip cancellation so that we could share that with our travel insurance (if we'd purchased it) to try to get a refund, but that was about it. Morrisons also made the guides tell us, rather than having anyone higher up in the company talk to us. From what we can tell, they also didn't do anything to help their guides (e.g. helping them find lodging) once the trip was canceled. I will also add that I'm vegetarian, and although there was a lot of very tasty vegetarian food available, vegetarian protein was extremely scarce. For dinner the two nights we hiked (~9 mi on day 1 and 15 mi on day 2), there was no source of vegetarian protein for me to eat. (The gluten free and dairy free people fared much better.) It would've been so easy to roast a portobello mushroom the way they roasted salmon, or to do some kind of meat substitute when they did ribs (they did have meat substitute at the lunches, and eggs or veggie patties at breakfast). I had brought some protein powder with me, but not enough to make up for dinners without protein. My friends ended up giving me the protein bars they'd brought for themselves to try to make up for the dinners. To Morrison's: please consider all macronutrients (carbs, fat, AND protein) when planning meals for your guests! Overall, I would absolutely go back to the river with any of the guides, but I'll never use Morrisons again, and I recommend that you don't either.

We booked two kayaks for $50 each for a three hour self-guided tour on the canoe trail of Klamath lake. This was the best deal we could find in the area, and it was well worth it. We had so much fun, and the rental equipment was of good quality. Just remember to bring sunscreen and water. We booked our tour the day of and it worked out, but I would recommend booking in advance. This is a small operation, and we felt terrible that they had to get our rentals ready with such short notice. They did everything perfectly, from communication to the meeting spot to punctuality, but please don't do what we did and book in advance if possible!
