Raft Rite saved our day, we came to Shady Cove to rent a raft without calling any of the raft places first and found out that they all closed for the summer but then found Raft Rite on Google and called them and they were open, we got a raft at a decent price and they also had decently priced single beers, employees were friendly and picked us up at the end in a timely manner. read more

My family and I booked a 10-person raft over a week in advance and showed up excited for our trip, only to be told they had no record of our reservation, and to make matters worse, they don't even own a 10-person raft. When we asked for help, the worker brushed us off, refused to spend even two minutes trying to resolve the issue, and drove away saying they'd be back in 30 minutes leaving us their completely alone. Ok so I'll agree with some of the previous reviewers. This place seems run down and ramshackle.... AAAAND the vans are old and rickety. But, honestly, I've been coming here for over 15 years and have always had a friendly, helpful personable experience and found them to be the cheapest most reliable place to grab a raft for the day. I've never had a bad raft nor has the shuttle van ever broken down or had any other mechanical issue. They've been johnny on the spot for both drop off and pick up as well. So if you're a prissy princess, or a ritzy out of towner/city person this may not be up your alley. They do not have a Starbucks on site. They don't care what kind of car you drive or where you live or what kind of purse you're carrying. In fact if that's your thing, you may not even enjoy rafting the rogue. I repeat... NO STARBUCKS! BUT, if you can drop all that pretentious BS and are ready for a simple day of fun then I would highly recommend giving raft rite a shot at hooking you up with gear to float the Rogue down to Shady Cove. read more

Got there, waited in the parking lot for an hour before they tell us they double booked. Then I asked why they made us wait so long and she said they were afraid to tell us. I am only giving them 2 stars instead of one, because the guy that picked us up off the river was super nice and deserved an acknowledgement, but the rest of our experience was a train wreck. The business is dirty and falling apart, the staff are apparently related and they seem to hate each other from the nasty way they spoke to each other. They have no bathroom which you wouldn't think would be a big deal but when you consider we waited there for 2 hours passed our reservation time and it's 40 minutes to the drop off point, it kinda is a huge deal. They stuffed way to many people in the van, 18 in a 15 passenger van. And it was like that for everyone that we saw that rafted with them that day. I don't often leave reviews, but this place especially deserves it....if I can save one family from the terrible experience we had, it is worth it. The ironic part is that we have rafted with both the other big companies and had a very good experience. We booked this place by accident, thinking it was the other place. Apparently these guys were the cheapest in town, but it is not worth saving whatever you might save to waste hours of your day waiting for them to get their act together. read more

We had a reservation for twelve didn't even get the raft to the water till 1:45 then to top it off we get pulled over at the drop off spot driver had no license so he ask my boy to tell the cop he was driving then! We unload the raft and the damn thing had a hole it it so my boy had to drive the van and trailer mind you hooptie van and trailer back to pick up a new raft now it's like 2:30 the owner of raft right wouldn't give us only a $20 discount which I feel he shoulda at least did $40 for saving his driver from a ticket and then waiting 2 and a half hours to get in the water this place is pretty ghetto as far as vans and rafts an costumer service !! read more

Wow. This place is absolutely terrible! DO NOT give them your business. The woman behind the counter actually started yelling aggressively at my aunt and mother after we confronted her on her price change (she told us one price for our reservation over the phone and a different higher price when we arrived to fulfill it), the man driving the bus was rude and seemed drunk the whole time (even crashed his van into another van while loading the rafts), and was rushing us when trying to unload our two coolers from our car into the van...we maybe had been unloading for about five minutes. Rushing us like that after giving their business $200 is ridiculous, especially when their lot was totally empty besides our cars. Their lot is littered with abandoned clothes and water shoes, sunglasses and trash. On the other hand, the river is great! Just go with another rafting company, Any other rafting company. What a joke. Called multiple times, even 30 mins before arriving, just to make sure our rafts were reserved.. we pull up, instantly get "greeted" by an old scraggly woman telling us there are no more floats available for the day. I tell her I just called 30 minutes ago to confirm it. She tells me it's not her fault and that they had people walk off the job. She then proceeds to call over an older gentleman who backs her up and says there's nothing they can do. I shake my head and begin to walk off when the older gentleman barks out a "what!?".. needless to say, I should've listened to previous reviews. I would not recommend this business. We were quoted low and after we arrived, they would not honor the quoted price. They charged us $60 higher upon arrival. The place is FILTHY, ramshackle and unorganized. The transmission in the van they drove us in went out while we were driving. The owner who was driving us was texting and making phone calls WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. There were ZERO safety precautions observed or advised. When we landed at the boat launch at the end of our run, the owner (Larry) would not wait for us to get our things out of the rafts before he pulled them out and loaded them up to take them away. I was trying to reach some of our towels and he kept tossing life jackets right on top of my arms and covering what I was trying to retrieve. During our trip we kept finding garbage and shoes and sunglasses from previous parties. There is ZERO sanitation practice. They bait and switch. ALL the negative reviews are accurate. I strongly caution you from using this company, 1 star is too generous. As for the trip, it was beautiful and fun but the river was very low (which we were not told) and it was far more physically demanding than we were expecting. Be prepared to dodge trees, navigate rocks, and row all day. Next time, we'll do single boats so its not so heavy. We had a rough time on the rocks with 8ppl on board and 1 foot of water in some spots. Check river conditions before launching!! PS, "Jason C" is not a real customer review. This place is definitely on the lower budget end of the rafting circuit but they were nice and they get you there and pick you up as part of your rental. We had an amazing time on the 10 person raft with the 6 of us. We have used Raft Rite 2 years in a row on Labor day weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it both times. read more

DONT NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have used other rafting companies before but I thought I would try Raft Rite because they had the best prices, but I should have paid a little more for a better experience. I called ahead and made a reservation but when I got there we had to wait for three hours. During those three hours their vans broke down, multiple times they were delayed because they couldn't find rafts that wouldn't deflate by themselves, and I saw them kick a family off a of a van for no reason. Once they called my name they drove me a half an hour to the river only to tell me that they didn't have a raft. We waited for over an hour for them to bring us another raft. This company is the worst, go to Rapid Pleasure for rafting. read more

We were taken down to the river by one of their very sketchy vans with few seatbelts, and a door that didnt open from the inside. On the river, we discovered that our group was given a raft that didn't bail itself. Later we realized that we were never told where to meet the van to pick us up, so we stopped where the majority of raft places meetup, and sat there for about half an hour without seeing the "raft rite" van. We sent two group members to walk a mile back to their shop, and they still hadn't sent the van. Needless to say, we will never be returning. read more

When you first drive up this place is a ramshackle with vehicles that wheeze, which makes you wonder about the quality of rafts. I made a reservation for a raft a few days before we were set to go out. When we get there on the day we are supposed to go rafting there are about 50 people waiting outside. We are told it will be an hour wait, even though we made a reservation. I notice our name isnt on the board and they have a terrible system of taking reservations. We try to pay to be told the woman who collects money isnt there. I go back in an our later she still isnt there. An hour and a half after our reservation and we are no closer to going out because we havent paid according to the guy behind the counter (the woman still isnt there). So we leave. We go to RAPID PLEASURE and get on a raft in 30 minutes or less. This place is terrible! Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Finally writing a review after using a different rafting company and realizing that not all of them are this terrible! The first red flag I should have seen was when I called in the day before to reserve a raft, and the man who answered seemed very weird and out of it, and said that he didn't work there but he'd put my name down. Then, when we get there, it literally looks like a meth shack and falling apart. The employees were all yelling at each other and it was one of the most unprofessional experiences ever. They had zero customer service, like they couldn't even pretend to care. It was a terribly awkward situation to be in. The vans we saw getting loaded up looked like they were from the 70's and I was surprised they were even running. They wheezed and squealed every time they drove them even a foot. They looked like the type of vans that if you got into them, you may never be seen again. I felt like I was in the movie Wrong Turn (if you know, you know). Then they proceeded to load wayyyyy too many people into one of the vans, which also did not have air conditioning and it was like 100 degrees outside. The windows did not roll down, and the door of the van only opened from the outside! My friend had to sit on the floor of the van by the door, and the ride to the river was so terrifying we literally called our other friend to pick us up when we were done rafting because we didn't want to get back on the shuttle again. Then, when we got to the river we found out that they didn't pack a big enough raft for our party of four (even though we confirmed with them multiple times that we needed a big enough raft). The guys driving didn't seem to care and basically just told us 'you'll fit'... it was technically a two person raft and we had a cooler and two back packs. We all had a leg hanging over the side and almost fell off multiple times during our trip. The river is beautiful and it's a great river to raft, just go with basically any other company than raft rite! read more

Been going to this place for 10 years had one other bad experience with them but not like yesterday! If I could give them a -5 stars I would. Our raft pop, called raft rite at least 75 times to get ahold of them NO ONE answered we had to hitch rides with strangers and our group was split up. If I could I would of left the raft on the side of the river if we were able to get up the hill that's how bad it was. My fiancé and 2 his friends floated down in a popped raft and it took them from the store to the pick up 3 hours. By the time we got back to the business all they were worried about was the oar that was lost but didn't seem to give 2 shiiiiisss about why they didn't answer and heard of 5 different excuses to why no one picked up the phone. It still makes me so angry because all the white haired man said," you need to pay for the oar it's $10!" Sold sir $10 for there stupidity and shove it! read more

My experience with Raft "Right" was not a very good one. We rented a 12 man raft in advance and they only had an 8 man raft when we got there. A couple of the members of our group weren't able to go, so we took the smaller raft anyway. Their van took us up the river and we went down the river. After we got out, we waited over 45 minutes for someone to pick us up before my 12 year old son and I decided to walk back to the company in 100+ weather over about 3 miles. We made it there and the lady at the desk said that she thought we were already being picked up. They got a van out in about 15 minutes to pick up the rest of the party. I would not recommend Raft Rite to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable trip down the river. read more

rafting on the rouge river is amazing execept if you're dealing with this piece of crap company who call themselves raft rite last year we rented a 12 man raft but we got an 8 insted we were ok with that. when we got to the pick up point it took them an hour to get there another group member and i walked back to the place to get them to pick the rest of our group up. this year they drop us off without a raft me and 5 other people are standing in 105 degree weather waiting for our raft. an hour and a half later, taking their sweet ass time came back with a new raft. it is safe to say i will not be coming back! read more

We live in shady cove and have a choice of places to rent rafts from Raft Rite is always our choice even if we have to wait for a bit. Their price are always the cheapest in the area and the owners take pride in giving you the best bang for your buck. When you rent a raft at most other places if you ask for a two person you get this tiny little raft when you rent at Raft Rite they alway up grade you to the larger 3 or 4 person raft for as thy put it you want to raft In comfort. This place is terrible. Everyone seemed high and unorganized. My family and I enjoy the rogue and decided that it would be a good idea to go rafting. The service was terrible and had to walk and call the place multiple times because their phone line kept coming up busy. Being stuck in 100+ weather, my entire group was upset. We had gone to Raft Rite a couple of times before and everytime something was wrong. It is rediculous. And not worth it ever again. I highly recommend going to another rafting company because the owners have no respect for customers and neither do their employees. I will say one of the guys running the van was very helpful and seemed to genuinely care but other than that one person it was a terrible experience. read more

My experience with Raft rite or should I call them Raft Wrong is truly unbelievable. first I pay for my raft and I am a senior citizen taking my Grand children ages 8,10,13,17 on a short raft trip on the Rogue. I am told my raft is loaded to get on van. I did. I am taken to the launch site to find that my raft was not loaded on van. I am told by driver there would be a short wait and they would get a raft there for us within a half hour. This was a relief as the outside temp was 105 degrees. After 2 other vans from Raft "Wrong" came and went I am still waiting for my raft 90 Minutes later. Finally the raft arrives and by now as a senior I am really feeling the heat and not feeling to well. When I look at the raft brought for me, I find so many patches on the bottom of the raft, I doubt that there was a piece of original material the raft was made from there. I refused to take that raft and the Driver trying to be nice did let me take a better raft. I do feel sorry for whom ever got that sorry looking thing. We do get on the river finally and did have fun after we cooled off a bit. When I returned to the office I ask the Owner what they were going to do to make this right. I was first given the run around, The owner told me he did not have the authority to make this right and started looking for whom I found out latter was his wife. She acts like she has no authority to do any thing about this shabby treatment of myself and Grand Children. After I get upset in there office I am told half off on my next trip with them. I ask them why in the world would they think that I would ever return to be abused by them again! They then shrugged their shoulders and just looked stupid. If you want to enjoy the river do not rent from these people!!!!!!! You will be so sorry if you do. Oh almost forgot, they ask me to leave a favorable review as they said other raft rental comp[anise had been leaving bad reviews.
