Waited about 20-30 minutes in the lift line but thats how it is sometimes. They only had two lifts running and the lines morphed into each other. Besides the long lines, the workers were incredibly kind and worked very hard. The mountain its self was awesome; full of glades, great trails and I came after it got dumped on with snow! The one bummer was the little goat shack on the bunny hill no longer hosts any goats which was always a fun little quirk to ski by. The blues and black diamonds are short but solid runs that were so fun to rip down. The main lift is speedy. Decent space and storage in the lodge. Would highly recommend and would return!

I spoke to Whatleigh, the owner of the dogs and she was very pleasant. She said she would still be able to give a tour of the dogs and where they live even though there is no snow. She gave perfect directions to her location and gave us a fantastic tour of where her dogs live and train. She let out most of her dogs, in increments and gave us a hands on experience. My 6 year old loved it and the dogs were so friendly and sweet. Whatleigh was very informative and answered all our questions about the dogs. We plan on coming back some winter to ride the dog sleds and ride them knowing what we know now. I recommend coming here if you are visiting. Preferably in the winter I must say. I gave this business 4 stars only as I think I am missing part of the experience by not getting to ride them on the winter tour. But Ill be back to finish this review when I do.

This weekend will be my kids' 8th and 9th time at Sunapee. Every single lesson has been hell to schedule. Between a klunky online system which only 'reserves' your lesson to poor communication and organization from management, we will be switching mountains next year. The most recent issue is when Sunapee canceled our group lesson without our permission and booked my 4 year old in an 830am newly created lesson (due to policy change) without asking us. I saw another family a few weeks ago arrive from several hours away with their receipt and confirmation for a group lesson but Sunapee didn't have record of it and turned them away. I can't begin to explain how tedious every single step of the lesson scheduling process has been. Buyer beware. Management doesn't really care about your experience and due to lack of communication and organization you could end up lesson-less like us and other families.

The wireless reception is poor, and it is not an ideal place to stay if you require Internet for work/personal reasons.

The Sunset Hill Trail in Newbury NH is aptly named after this wonderful trail that has an almost…read moreunobstructed view of the West, Lake Sunapee and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Sunset here is a moment of glory. The trail is an easy to moderate 2.4-mile out and back with only a 500-foot ascent. The trail has a steady climb so once you start past the gate, it continues almost at the same grade - considering this used to be a stage coach route to an 1800s farm. Once on top, there are magnificent views. On a dry day in the beginning of September, we didn't see a bug nor a mosquito.... The trail is part of the John Hay Estate, the property of one of America's most consequential Secretaries of State. Hay was the director of our foreign policy in the Spanish American War under President McKinley, the manager of President Teddy Roosevelt's Open Door Policy with China, and led the diplomatic efforts to building the Panama. Canal. The Hay Estate has many acres and besides the trail, visitors can see The Fells, the home of the late State Secretary. A piece of history, a wonderful hike and a great visit.

The seats were not super comfortable but it's the price you pay for an authentic experience. The tables were surprisingly large. The train was very warm but felt better once we got moving. I recommend getting seats that are odd numbers because you'll be closer to the lake. The train goes down and back but does not turn around so if you get the lake side you'll get it on the way out and back. Also if you get table 1 you'll be served first!

All I can say, is it was unforgettable, it was beautiful, and it was something I would do again when it is Summer, even Winter when it is covered with winter wonderland!
