    Combo for 4.
    Khaum L.

Great customer service. Our waitress was super sweet and patient as we were a party of 13 with kids. The menu is excellent! Loved that they offered more than just the combos itself. Our waitress was kind enough to save us a few bucks by letting us how we can sub a few items for just a few dollars up charge vs buying it by the lb on the side. That was a huge help on our wallets. The sauce is great and seafood was not over cooked! Will definitely be traveling back for more. Everything about this place is great. No complaints. We got oysters and the combo for 4. Which was way more than enough to feed 4 people.

I stopped in with my girlfriend and some friends as we were staying at the hotel next door. We love Cajun boils and figured we'd try this place. Walking in, the immaculate cleanliness was immediately noticeable. We were greeted and sat by a very friendly young woman. The blue lights look great and add a great ambiance to the place. We ordered and received drinks quite quickly. We ordered a family meal for three and one for five with "house special" sauce. The food was spectacular. It's messy but fun. I sort of felt like a child and I really enjoyed it. Food everywhere, lol. We received numerous refills and the bagged our left overs in a leak proof bag. Our experience was first rate. The place is clean, the staff is pleasant and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend this place. I was there with my romantic same sex partner and they treated us like everyone else. Professionally and courteously. This place is clearly a friend to the LGBT community.

Combo with lobster tail, snow crab legs and shrimp. Came with corn and potatoes.

Food was decent but I personally didn't love it. The shrimp and lobster was good but the crab was overcooked. Got the seafood seasoned with the house spices and the combo was good. Service was ok, the server didn't check on me. The restaurant was cutely decorated with the coastal theme but nothing special about the overall experience.

The saving grace to this review is the corporate chain across the street. 1 star for overcooked mushy snow crab legs 3 stars for service 5 stars for packaging & garlic usage in the seasoning 3.5 stars for aesthetics 4 stars for cleanliness as it appears from the parking lot and they have sanitizer at register/hostess station. They don't offer curbside and we didn't dine in but others were dining in. Menu on Facebook IS more thorough THAN their other online postings (e.g. UberEats. Their website, et al). There's a $25 combo worth trying. Spice level is customizable. I'll go back as the corporate place across the street failed worse than these almost unforgivable overcooked left in water mushy snowcrab legs. No, I didn't call back to alert anyone as it's far east. We did have their local competitors to make a fair comparison and this moved the needle from 2 to 2.5 (corporate comparison) to 3 (local comparison and we will try again given the shrimp and spice). Sausage is not beef but a pork by product. They use red potatoes. Corn tasted like the Green Giant. They have better flavor to the seafood than their local competitor. .meaning... They must have some seasoning in the boiling water versus simply cooking seafood then dumping margarine seasoned in the plastic bag expecting it to flavor everything or enhance something. P.S. this didn't taste like real butter but not exactly margarine. Id love to learn if it was something else

Converted restaurant, what was it? Run by Chinese, so the Cajun authenticity is a bit of a stretch. The update was on the cheap, stone wall contact paper peeling off, lots of supplies sitting around and maybe a 6 or 7 in cleanliness. Food was pretty good. No complaints.

The most expensive combo on the menu is huge

Had a reservation for 2 people, and got completely ignored for 20 minutes, bad service, horribly understaffed. Would not recommend.

There was one other group sitting in the restaurant and in the time we were there some pickup orders. Shockingly to us, there was only one person working, but she was efficient. Took a little longer to get the food, but it was definitely hot & fresh. By the time we got our food, we were the only ones there, so we got to talk with the owner, who is from just outside New Orleans. She was super friendly and told us about her style to making the dishes; was fun to hear her story. As for the food, we got a variety with the Voodoo egg rolls, fried okra, New Orleans spiced jambalaya, and crawfish etoufee. The egg rolls were fun to try. They were stuffed with cheese and had pieces of fish and sausage. Not sure if I need to get them again, but worth a try. They also came with a dipping sauce, which actually worked great with the fried okra. The okra was really good with a light cornmeal batter that gave it just enough crispness to the soft interior. The etoufee and jambalaya were both very flavorful. We got the jambalaya the most spicy, New Orleans spice, and it packed a little heat. Just what I needed to clear out a cold. As a person who likes spice, this was pretty good. We've been searching for a good Cajun restaurant since New Orleans Takeout left, and this might be the new go to. They have a short menu, with pretty tasty food, and good prices. Try em out.

We were taken to a fun room resembling a spot under a willow tree with a night sky above. Our waitress came over a few minutes later to take drink orders & questions & throughout the dinner she was excellent. Unfortunately the area was dark & hard to read the menu - I highly recommend candles on the table to make for a more intimate setting. Then we got our food. My bf ordered a po boy sandwich hoping to relive an experience he had elsewhere, but sadly he felt the sandwich just resembled that of a McDonald's fish sandwich lacking Cajun flavors. I ordered the jambalaya, which had a pretty good portion size, and was kind of tasty but went downhill as the few scraps of sausage were only on top & the flavors didn't get mixed in well with the rest of it. I recommend a white rice option. We also started getting excited about corn bread but were very disappointed as we were told they have it 'sometimes' but we missed out. I also don't understand the music selection as it sounded like a night club. I doubt we will return, which is sad as this place seems to have potential.

Everything we tried was flavorful and well‑prepared, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere really stands out -- lively but relaxed, with that Cajun‑inspired charm that makes it feel special without being pretentious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Drinks are solid, and the setting is perfect for a casual night out with friends or a laid-back evening on the deck. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're looking for good food, great vibes, and a little taste of the South in Madison. We came on a mid afternoon Saturday so pretty slow and chill!

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is perfectly sophisticated yet welcoming, with a classy, nautical vibe that feels upscale without being stuffy. The historic building (with its cool backstory) adds a unique charm, and whether you're at the bar, in the Boat Room, or on the patio during happy hour, it just feels special. The drinks are top-notch. Their cocktail menu is creative and well-executed think perfectly balanced classics and inventive options that pair beautifully with seafood. The wine and beer selection is solid too, with plenty of crisp whites that complement the menu. But the real stars are the oysters and crab legs. The oysters are incredibly fresh (they boast daily shipments), briny, and perfectly shucked some of the best I've had anywhere. We ordered a mix from the raw bar and couldn't stop. The crab legs? Outstanding huge, sweet, and steamed to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning so the natural flavor shines through. Paired with their drawn butter, it was pure indulgence. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, the portions generous, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. If you're craving excellent seafood in a great setting, make a reservation at Tempest you won't be disappointed!
