The people that frequent this dog park are extremely aggressive, especially the ones with small dogs. Heaven forbid you are your larger dogs stay one minute into small dog hour. They will literally scream and curse at you. They have misinformation about what time small dog hour in on their Facebook page. So it's extremely hard to tell what is true.

This regional park has a little bit of everything to offer. Trails to stroll through, dog park, soccer field, baseball field, volleyball, tennis court, play grounds, group picnic, Apple Fairs, redwood groves. Did I leave anything out ? Yes, it costs $7 to park.... ALL SONOMA COUNTY REGIONAL PARKS cost $7 to park. That is what helps our local parks stay maintained. Funny how people will drop $7 at Starbucks for their Venti, quadruple, 6 pump, no whip Fru-Fru drinks but have an issue when it comes to our beautiful parks? Do yourself a favor and just buy the yearly park pass. It will pay for itself over and over again. Yes, the dog park has drama from the west county hipsters. But what dog park doesnt have drama???? There is a little dog hour for one hour every day. I read some reviews about complaints about Ghiardia and Kennel Cough. That can be picked up anywhere at an park (dog park or not). The Gravenstien Apple Fair is an all time favorite that happens once a year usually the second weekend in August. There is literally Apple everything imaginable !!!! We go every single year. The trails are flat and go back into the park. Areas are shaded and some areas not as shaded. You should always wear sun screen, bring water, a hat and pack accordingly. Since the trails are flat, it's perfect for the novice hiker wanting to take a casual and quiet stroll. There is also paved trails easy for wheelchairs or strollers.

Love small dog hour at the dog park here at 11-12 and 3-4. Our 20lb puppy can be intimidated by bigger dogs so it's very nice to have found Ragle ranch!

I have no idea why I chose to come here for some "hiking." Initially, I had intended to hike the Joe Rodota Trail nearby with family but my cousin (who didn't go, btw) insisted that this was an address for said trail. We all decided to input "500 Ragle Road" into our GPS devices and on we went. To our surprise, we pulled in and was told that we'd have to pay a $6 parking fee. Um yeah....no. We turned back around and parked on the street for free. We walked in and started on the trail where another surprise came...it wasn't a mountainous hike like we had imagined. The trail was paved all the way on a flat surface. It wasn't a bad stroll, but we had hoped for something more. On your way through the trail, you can pick pears and blackberries (sorry, not the phones...I meant the actual fruit!). Be careful of poison ivy though cuz they're out there. You can walk or run the trail. There were some really cute doggies out for a stroll also. The provide dog poopie bags for owners that forget to bring them or who are irresponsible. Hehe... I don't recall seeing restrooms but I'm sure there are some, somewhere in the park. Good place to run or walk, nice views, nice people, pretty flowers, yummy fruit.

Great dog park, small wood chip covered surface so no sand or dirt will go home on Fido. Small dog hours every day, reserved for dogs under 30 pounds only! Lots of flat, grassy surfaces for soccer, frisbee, and baseball playing. Some paved trails for scooter ring and a new bikers.

Just stopped in here to visit the dog park and ended up exploring some more, turns out there's some trails here, along with so much more. Soccer & baseball fields, picnic / outdoor park party areas, etc. I plan on visiting again and will update review but my visit was nice. It's a good sized park, with plenty of parking around. No complaints about the dog park, just note they have a small dog only hour, confirm days / hours before coming. There's decent bathrooms in parking lot nearby dog park area. The Peace Garden isn't anything significant but a small space with a few benches, nice place to sit in some shade. We walked the Blackberry Trail which was an easy and beautiful little stroll around a bog (less than 2 miles I believe). There were some other walkers, bikers and joggers along the trail, which is dog friendly. This park is part of Sonoma County Regional Parks and pass is good here, otherwise there's a parking fee but free entry if coming in on foot or bike. Overall a nice park with a lot to offer, good go to place to wander with pups.

We were afraid we would lose cell service but luckily it worked the entire way so we were guided by Waze. The road is quite narrow and windy so best to take it slow in case you run across other cars or bicyclists. There are residences along this road too so another reason to take a slow pace. The parking lot is small but we fortunately got a spot as we waited for the other members of our party to arrive. It had been raining all weekend so perhaps there were not as many visitors as normal. We noticed several friendly dogs on leash as we walked along the well-kept trails. The redwoods are truly majestic and there are many picture perfect spots along the path. We took some beautiful photos of the redwoods with fern in the foreground. It's a nice and easy trail and a peaceful spot to have a picnic. I think they must have controlled burns here because in certain areas, there were redwoods that had blackened trunks. Some of these trees are over 1,000 years old. Take Coleman Valley Road to Fitzpatrick Lane. There is a small parking lot and I've read not to park on the side of the road if the parking lot is full as they do give out tickets.

Luther Burbank is well known in this area and around the world for his work with plants and the creation of new hybrids. You can see some of that work here. When you turn into this place you might be confused as you are passing some housing, but you are in the right spot, keep heading down the 10mph road, follow the signs to the little parking lot in the back. This community that surrounds the farm is part of the vision of Burbank's widow, Elizabeth, who wanted some of the 15 acres of farm to be used as housing for seniors or those with disabilities. Today, only 3 acres of farm remain along with the caretaker's cottage and barn, the latter of which was reconstructed by volunteers from old photographs in the 1990s. When you park and walk past the barn take the path that goes to the right towards the cottage. There, grab a brochure (from the mailbox) that guides you through the names of the plants corresponding to the numbers through out the farm. Also, sign the guest book. The farm is a peaceful spot where you can spend an hour exploring or bring a picnic lunch and take advantage of one of the many picnic tables or benches that are scattered throughout the property. You can see many of the hybrid plants that Burbank worked on including thornless and white blackberries, grafted apples, spineless cactus and many different kinds of daises, which is Sebastopol's official city flower. This space is not to be confused with Burbank's Home and Garden in Santa Rosa. He didn't live here, only conducted experiments! But he did often stay they night in the cottage when he didn't want to trek back to Santa Rosa, and hour and a half in those days. Great spot to relax, take in some sweet smelling air, or just get a great history lesson. FYI: The cemetery borders the farm land without a fence between them, another place to take in some more Sebastopol/Sonoma County history.
