Pretty popular ride and fun. Mater whips you around in the trailer. The music, well it can get a little annoying. LOL. The ride is fun! Just have to gauge the wait times on the app.

The Baseline: For a theme park attraction, a quality experiences must be provided, the attraction…read moremust be fun and engaging, an immersive environment must be established, the queue line must be themed, and safety must be a top priority. Queue: This is a great queue while waiting to ride with a ton of immersive Star Wars themed decor. The view of the Millennium Falcon is awesome and it feels like you are "doing some Star Wars" while you wait. Attraction: This is the ride that lets you crew the Millennium Falcon on a mission and that is awesome by itself. If you have a group of 6 people you are with then this ride is even better. Basics is there is a pilot, co-pilot, 2 gunners, and 2 engineers crewing the ship and you all have your jobs via your roles. You then get to go on a "railroad path" for a pre generated story but gives you some level of video game ability to interact as you go along the ride. That in itself is fun but there is a new Mandolorian overlay that has made it better. Now if you are an engineer you will get a chance to determine you destination for the second half of the ride (Coruscant, Bespin, or Endor) after you fly through Tatooine. This is so much more fun than the original ride that took you to Corellia.

My review is for the marathon:…read more What a great, small race. There were probably 200 people combined in the marathon and half marathon. The course started on the Santa Ana River Trail just outside of Riverdale Park in Anaheim and went along the trail almost until the 22 fwy. The runners turned around and came back along the same path where the half marathoners finished inside Riverdale Park and the marathoners continued along the trail until just past Yorba Linda Regional Park and then turned around to head toward the finish at Riverdale Park. There were plenty of signs directing runners where to park (at a lot adjacent to Kaiser hospital) which is great when you're not familiar with the area and it's still in the dark of early morning. There was an ample amount of porta potties at the start as well as public park restrooms (those had a longer line). They had a Don Francisco truck handing out free, hot coffee (it was chilly on race morning) and I saw some other snacks out there too at some of the sponsor tables. A girl from a local yoga studio led a 10 minute warm up stretch before we were lined up on the trail and the Star Spangled Banner was sung. The race started just a couple minutes after 7am. There were water stations at almost every mile and mile markers throughout the course. Max Muscle Enduromax was offered as the electrolyte drink at different intervals and they were handing out Clif Shots at several stations as well. There was another station handing out pretzel and orange slices as well. All of the volunteers were extremely friendly and many of them cheered when they saw an approaching runner or walker. There were lots of cyclists on the path and recreational users but there was plenty of room for everyone. The Santa Ana River Trail is really scenic with lots of foliage, Canadian Geese, birds, Egrets and mallard ducks in the water. There really wasn't any shade so a summer run along the trail would be very hot. At around mile 20 there was a great musician greeting runners. The run was really beautiful and serene but if you're someone who needs lots of spectators and likes to run in a big pack, this isn't the race for you. At around mile 22, I was all alone. I didn't see another runner behind or in front of me for atleast a mile so I enjoyed the zen of the run. I was greeted at the finish line with a couple dozen spectators cheering and was draped with a space blanket and had a medal hung around my neck by some of the friendliest volunteers with the nicest smiles. The announcer read each finisher's name and hometown as they approached the finish which always pumps me up. There was an ample amount of post race food: water, bananas, Clif Bars, homemade cookies (yum!), Martinelli's apple juice and passionfruit apple juice, and bagels. They had a local massage business giving free massages (I really wanted one but I felt guilty asking someone to rub my sweat drenched, smelly back and legs). Max Muscle was handing out samples and Yorba Linda water district gave away plastic water bottles. They were updating the results about every 15 minutes. I was 1st place female 35-40 so I earned an extra medal (sweet!) and I earned a new PR! It was a glorious day! The marathon finisher's medal was HUGE and it's soooo nice. It might be my favorite medal I've earned so far. The tech shirt was a very nice white, long sleeve with Canadian geese on the front. I'd gladly come back and run this race again next year. I'll admit it... I still catch myself calling this Splash Mountain…read more No matter what you call it, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is a blast. My son and I climbed aboard, and I could tell he was already sizing up that big drop. The closer we got, the quieter he became. I think he was more worried about getting soaked than the actual 50-foot plunge! When we finally went over the edge... WHEEEE! Honestly, the drop felt shorter than I remembered, but it was still plenty exciting. The ride is full of colorful scenes, great music, and smiling kids everywhere. It's exactly the kind of Disney magic you hope for. Now, the water? Oh yeah... you're taking a chance. We didn't have ponchos, plastic bags, or any kind of protection for our phones. The whole ride I was thinking, "Please don't drown my camera... please don't drown my camera." Somehow, we made it through without soaking our phones. That felt like winning the Disney lottery. The best part, though, was seeing my son's face. Half terrified, half laughing, wondering if we'd survive the splash. That's the kind of memory you don't forget. Great ride, great atmosphere, friendly Cast Members, and just enough excitement to keep you coming back for another run. I'll post the picture of my son's expression... it's worth a thousand words. When the California sun starts cooking you like a baked potato, there's only one logical answer…read more.. Grizzly River Run. You can hear this ride long before you see it. The roar of rushing water, people laughing, kids screaming, and that slow click... click... click... as another raft climbs toward the top. It's like listening to a soundtrack that says, "Somebody's about to get soaked!" As we're climbing, everyone in our raft is pretending to be brave. Then the spinning starts. The turning. The bouncing. Another turn. Another drop. Another spin. By this point, you're just holding on and hoping the raft picks someone else to get drenched. Spoiler alert: The raft doesn't care. You hit the bottom, water explodes everywhere, the cannons start firing, people on the bridge are laughing while they're trying to soak you even more, and suddenly nobody is dry anymore. It's absolute chaos... the fun kind. The best part of the whole day wasn't even getting soaked. Before we got on, my son wasn't sure he wanted to ride it. After we climbed off, he looked at me and said, "Dad, thank you for taking me on the best ride in all of California Adventure." Then he thanked me again... and again... and again. Those words meant more to me than he'll probably ever know. Sometimes the best memories aren't the drops or the splashes--they're hearing your kid tell you that you were right. The ride was clean, the Cast Members were friendly, and the whole atmosphere was full of laughter from beginning to end. If it's hot outside, don't think twice. You're either getting soaked... or wishing you had.

Grizzly River Run is one of my favorite ride's in Disney's California Adventure. I love water…read morerides. Grizzly River Run is an whitewater rafting ride located in the Disney California Adventure Park's Grizzly Peak area of the Disneyland Resort. When Disney California Adventure opened in 2001, Grizzly River Run was also one of the original rides! Grizzly River Run is themed like a giant, bear shaped mountain called Grizzly Peak that is inspired by California's state and national parks and represents the natural beauty of the forest in Northern California, featuring pine tree stands, rocky mountains, and the sound of running water. You board large round rafts that can be used for groups of up to eight people, and as they float through an area with strong currents on the ride! The rafts twist and turn in unpredictable directions. During this twisting journey, the rafts send you floating through waters, mist filled caves, and sometimes sudden drop offs. I did speak with the cast member and the large drop is about as large as the Pirates of the Caribbean. The moment when the raft plunges into the water during the latter part of the trip is fun, especially due to the amount of splashing the raft receives from the water, which often results in some of the riders getting wet. Sometimes I get drenched and other times, I barely get wet. Due to the design of the raft, which the raft rotates, you'll have a unique ride experience each time you ride Grizzly River Run! The ride is different during the day and night. During the evening hours you can see all of the beautiful Disney California Adventure lights which is stunning! It's great to ride this ride at night during the summer hours! This is a must ride if you're visiting during the summer. If you don't like being cold though, I'd recommend avoiding this one during the fall and early spring months.

I walked into WEB SLINGERS thinking, "I've watched enough Spider-Man movies. I've got this."…read more A few seconds later, I'm standing there throwing invisible webs like I'm trying to swat mosquitoes at a backyard barbecue. I have to admit... this ride is pretty awesome. The technology is surprisingly accurate. Wherever you point, it actually feels like you're slinging webs and blasting Spider-Bots. By the end, my shoulder was getting a workout, and I was taking this way more seriously than I should've. I ended up scoring over 100,000 points, which officially qualifies me as... someone who still wasn't at the top of the leaderboard. Apparently there are people out there who eat, sleep, and sling webs for a living. The queue is cool, the effects are impressive, and it's one of those rides where everyone walks off immediately comparing scores. Nobody cares how old you are your competitive side comes out fast. Would I ride it again? Absolutely. Because now I have unfinished business... and that leaderboard isn't going to beat itself.

This attraction is a great combination of a little bit of ROTR and lots of Toy Story Mania digital…read morestyle! In order to understand this, you'll need to experience the queue at least once before using LL or single rider. Sits 3 across and trust me, you'll need all 3! Key points: shoot the monsters. Mad Tea Party is located at the Fantasyland area in Disneyland Park. It is an opening day…read moreattraction and is based on the tea party scene in the movie Alice in Wonderland. There are a bunch of tea cups that each seat about four people and both move and spin upon the ride starting. You can also spin the wheel to spin the teacup even more but it could cause motion sickness. We didn't spin it too much and I was already feeling dizzy. It's one of the more recognizable rides and symbols of Disney and the parks.

DISNEYLAND RIDE #3: Mad Tea Party…read more We rode the tea cups at the Mad Tea Party ride and this one was so much fun! This ride had a shorter wait time without the Lightning Lane Pass, which was about 10 minutes. You get to control the tea cups whether if you want them to go slower or faster. We never slowed down once and because I was looking for a good thrill ride, we made our tea cup go as fast as possible. This might've been my first time riding the tea cups as well, despite visiting Disneyland a couple of times in the past. Like on all airplanes, be sure to remain seated until the ride has come to a complete stop when it's over, except there are no seatbelts. Awesome ride all around!

What an amazing experience!!!…read more Got there bright an early to cheer on the extraordinary athletes in the mornings triathlon event!!! I found my yelp people and we soon headed towards the water where the first event was getting ready to start. The first group to dive in the water was the young men's group followed by the young female group. It was very heartwarming seeing the smiles on the athletes faces as the crowd cheered for them when they passed us by. Next, was the walk to get their bikes and they were soon off for their 11 mile bike ride! yikes!! They looked so determined and focused that it was inspirational!!! The final event was to run to the finish line. I was lucky enough to see the first US men and women to finish the event. USA men was first and USA women came in second place. I was very impressed with Costa Rica cause a lot of their men and women where one of the first ones to finish the race!! I was really happy to be apart of the Special Olympics 2015 even if I was just a crazy enthusiastic fan!! I did get tieried eyed a couple of times because I know they worked so hard to get here and they deserved to be cheered to the fullest!!!

Well organized, small event, only about 100 or so triathletes…read more Fun course, 0.5 mile swim in Alamitos Beach, 11 mile bike ride near Queen Mary (2 loops), 3 mile run along the beach (1 loop). Parking $10, lot opens at 4:30 am. 5:30 am when Registration opens 7:00 am start time of waves. Only 2 waves, 1 for men (less than 49) and the other for females (and men over 50+). Timing chip was huge. Kim Kilgroe was there racing that day! Awards ceremony at the end, all proceeds benefit Special Olympics.
