Kids were supposed to be split in groups of experience that wasn't done. From what I saw my child was the only beginner that day. They lined the girls up and started stretching. My daughter clearly needed help on how to do the stretching. No one moved to help her.One of the girls smirked at my child. Clueless and helpless my daughter began to cry. So rather than losing my temper I took my daughter and went home. I tried communicating with Torand via email and by phone and I left messages explaining my daughter's experience. I used their one free Move class and bought the Skills class, which happens right after. I was hooked and bought the one month unlimited class pack. When that was done, I knew I was committed and bought the yearly pack. They basically always have one move class for an hour, followed by one skills class that is an hour on weekdays and an hour and a half on weekends. The move class is a volleyball fitness class. It's like a HIIT class with weights and volleyball drills. It focuses on helping you move quicker in the sand and get stronger to hit the ball. It's a ton of fun and the music is always great. It's good to do this class before skills because it gets you working and tired. It forces you to practice your skills in a more fatigued state, just like you would get while playing at the beach throughout the day. The skills class is a typical volleyball practice with drills. It always ends with some form of fun playing, like king of the court. They have a good amount of days and times so you can fit classes in and around your schedule. I personally go to all of the Tuesday and Thursday morning classes (7 am-9 am) at Long Beach community college. They are my absolute favorite and fit into my routine. There are a group of us who are committed to those classes, and it's fun to grow with them as players. Daniel is the instructor for those classes. He is the best. He is really kind and encouraging, but he will also push us to be better. We all have had specific things we want to work and improve on. He has been very receptive to these, and he will plan our drills to make sure we are able to devote time and attention to these skills. For example, I told him from the beginning that I wanted to work on my approach, specifically my feet for attacking, and we have had drills solely about that. The other instructors are really great too. I have had classes with Cole on the weekends in Huntington Beach and have been to a few Monday and Wednesday night classes with Kahlee. And Reid will often fill in, and it's always great to get his knowledge and insight on the mental aspects of volleyball. Getting to learn volleyball skills from a multitude of experienced players has definitely enhanced my knowledge of the game. Insand offers so much variety with times and instructors, and I think anyone would be able to find their niche. If you live in the Huntington Beach area, they also have a gym there. Sadly, it's too far for me since I'm in the Long Beach area, but if you're thinking about it from a cost perspective, and you are in the HB area, being able to have access to a gym alone might be financially worthwhile. The Insand community has been very warm and welcoming. Reid and the instructors care about our experience, listen to our feedback, and facilitate fun and challenging volleyball classes. It's easy to make friends with the social aspect of the workouts and drills as well. And maybe most importantly, you will definitely improve your volleyball skills.

The experience for parents isn't as streamlined since the space is rented from Momentous and I had to proactively reach out to be included in Telegram chats (the chat app of choice here). Since most sports leagues use sportsengine for sign ups, I was hoping this academy would make use of that app since the sign ups utilizes it anyway. Weekend basketball games for the club membership are about 20-30 minutes away from the gym they practice at and requires a hefty fee to watch.

This kind of behavior is dangerous and can easily result in serious injuries like concussions or even broken bones. I would encourage prospective families to read the other one-star reviews before joining. This does not seem like a program that prioritizes teaching young athletes how to play basketball the right way.

His unique method of "lock and roll" tennis was developed through decades of trial and error and meant to prevent/reduce injury and focus on the body's natural movement for tennis. As a mom of two basketball players, I've had a hard time finding coaches that don't make me cringe in their over-the-top out-of-control competitiveness and "here's the ball now run down to the other side of the court and fling it" solo-star style of gameplay. With LEE Sports Group, the team WINS GAMES and they do it without compromising what I consider to be basic character. Other clubs tend to focus on the growth of either their older teams or younger teams, compromising the quality of the entire club. Proplay has many amazing coaches that care about every player at every age and level which is rare nowadays! They also have many opportunities for every age and level to come in and get experience, with their camps and clinics it's easy to find yourself at the club almost every day. The facility itself is nice as well, they have a lot of equipment and resources that is hard to find other places! Overall I highly recommend checking Proplay out, the staff is extremely helpful if you have any questions!
