I went on line and was very impressed not only by the wonderful, tasteful offerings, but also seeing that Cathy models all of the clothing herself, instead of a model half her age! How nice is that? It's so refreshing to see the clothing modeled by a woman who is about my age! I ordered 2 maxi dresses with ruffled collars, Aqua Lane and the Black and Beige. I am full-figured and was apprehensive to order them thinking they may be too clingy, but I took the chance and they are just perfect! I ordered size 1X. I wore one of the dresses to a family event and received so many compliments! The ruffle collar is pretty and feminine, but most of all so comfortable, especially with the side slit. For me wearing this dress with a pair of Spanx (my favorite is Talbot's....they are very comfy and slip on easily), made me feel shapely and confident. I find her prices to be extremely reasonable for the beautiful quality. I look forward to continuing to shop with Cathy and also making my way to her store. Maxwells is a destination boutique that draws from far away and has a loyal clientele. That it is near tee shirt shops does not make it bad--just surprising. All the designs on the garments and jewelry are by locally artists and very unique as the shop owner explained. A very stylish lobster adorns many of the shirts for men and women. While the Menemsha store is dog friendly, we found quite a different vibe at the Oaks Bluff store. The store attendant was watching our every move and warned us when our small dog went too close to a piece of furniture (unfinished wood). We were going to buy more items, but then decided that the rude treatment was a turn off and will spend our money elsewhere.

All i wanted was a refund or for them to void the transaction but they said they could only give me a gift card even after i said i lived out of state. They never once told me about their "return policy" as i was in a rush checking out and I would not have purchased the item if I had known it. I was left with the same bracelet as all of their other products were overpriced and unattractive. Not worth your time or money.
