I found the exact style dress I was looking for and it was a great price. I had a need to receive the order by a specific date, so I emailed the business to inquire. This is definitely an older-woman kind of store (I would say 65+). I'm 61 and found it too old for me! Pluses: lots of cheerful, bright colors and prints; lots of "camouflage-wear" for trouble spots like aging arms (ponchos, ruanas, shrugs); fun costume jewelry, mostly with a beach theme; and huge selection of sizes for each style. The big minus for me is that so many of the knit tops were 100% synthetic, either nylon or polyester. I realize they're supposed to be a UV-protection fabric but I don't wear 100% synthetic clothing, especially in hot weather. I was tempted by some of the beaded stretch bracelets but left empty-handed. But I'm giving four stars because, for the right sort of woman, I'm sure this place is great! read more

The clothing quality is excellent, colors and variety is beautiful and everything is true to size! Anytime I have a question they are quick to respond and shipments are sent out quickly! I found out about Cathy's Place recently by complimenting a customer's handbag and raincoat and she told me about Cathy and her shop. She couldn't have raved more which sparked my interest. I went on line and was very impressed not only by the wonderful, tasteful offerings, but also seeing that Cathy models all of the clothing herself, instead of a model half her age! How nice is that? It's so refreshing to see the clothing modeled by a woman who is about my age! I ordered 2 maxi dresses with ruffled collars, Aqua Lane and the Black and Beige. I am full-figured and was apprehensive to order them thinking they may be too clingy, but I took the chance and they are just perfect! I ordered size 1X. I wore one of the dresses to a family event and received so many compliments! The ruffle collar is pretty and feminine, but most of all so comfortable, especially with the side slit. For me wearing this dress with a pair of Spanx (my favorite is Talbot's....they are very comfy and slip on easily), made me feel shapely and confident. I find her prices to be extremely reasonable for the beautiful quality. I look forward to continuing to shop with Cathy and also making my way to her store. I ordered a dress with curbside pickup as the store was closed for the winter. The dress was too large but they let me try on a smaller one and then gave me a free tote and and towel as I was going on vacation. I can't say enough about this family run business. I wish it were open as I would have shopped for hours. I will be back in when they open for the summer. Thank you to Cathy and Her son Danny. Cathy's has some really cool jewelry, silver necklaces, cuffs, earrings, some in a cape cod theme like mermaids and starfish etc. Lots of conservative Cape Cod clothing, dresses tops and Capris. The store could be summed up as stuff your mom would love, not for young people. Also kinda pricy. A lot of the dresses I looked at were 65 bucks! I would have liked one of the dresses as country club attire if it were cheaper. Then again, people who go to country clubs have the money for these dresses I suppose. read more

Stopped by there today to check it out. I was in awe as soon as I walked in the door! She certainly has great taste in choosing spring and summer colors and choices of tops to capris, shorts and cool summer dresses for casual occasions as well as some cute accessories. The only reason I gave her place a 3 star is because it does not accommodate for 18+ women for the most part. There was one round rack in the entire store that seemed to be left overs of what I certainly couldn't say. The entire store besides that rack was filled with amazing choices of colors and designs for small to mostly XL. She had some summer dresses that did go up to 3X but the material was a stretchy spandex that clung to your body that was not flattering if you were on the heavy side. I was excited to finally shop here since I had found her place on FB but was really disappointed that I couldn't find things that would accommodate me and my size. But on another note if you're a size 16 and under and need some really adorable spring, summer or even outfits to go on a vacation or cruise, Cathy's Place would certainly be a go to place to shop. read more

Cute store in a plaza that I never would have bothered stopping at except for Christmas Tree shop and the thrift shop next door. So I wandered in to see what they had.. They had some cute jewelry, if you like silver.. which I do, but I wear gold! maybe a little added variety would be nice. Owner seems to be there all the time.. Store is a little over priced for the area, but they have some nice things, just nothing I liked enough to buy.. may stop in once or twice a season to see if they update their inventory.. some of the oversized bags are nice.. and they had a nice raincoat that I could have used, but to pay over 50 bucks for something I really don't need (I have one from LL Bean that I got in a thrift store for a dollar!) was kind of senseless. They close for part of the winter.. maybe they'll have a sale, would have been nice to have new.. the clothes were a little old fashioned for me.. maybe in about 20 years.. LOL but store was neat and clean, owner was friendly but I suspect she was watching every step I took through the surveillance system. I hate stores were you're watched constantly.
