Horrible and unprofessional manager. I bought a wrong item and wanted to exchange. One hour later, he stated "I'm the owner you're the customer you don't get it". If you buy anything rotten or wrong here don't expect to get your money back. read more

Yes they can be pricey but you pay for convenience. They always hv the things I need to make Caribbean dishes.

Used to be so much better. Now they're way overpriced and the produce doesn't last more than a couple days. Today- Peeled garlic $8.99 a pound and they fill it to the brim. Ridiculous. Make it smaller so it doesn't go bad. Idc who peeled too much garlic that You have to rip people off. I asked for smaller ones. No accommodation. Peppers $3/lb. I get three of them for $3 at Aldis and they last longer. Avocado $1.79 a piece. I can get a bag at Trader Joe's for $3.49. I always come here out of convenience Bc it's right down the street from me. I really used to like coming here. I've been giving them my business for over 15 years but their produce doesn't last and you're paying high prices. I truly have bought produce at Aldi's and it lasts longer. When you get their discounted veggies sometimes there is mold on it. So a no for that going forward. Not a big variety of pasta. Since the pandemic the pieces climbed and I get it but it's like highway robbery at this point. read more

My neighborhood comic shop Classic Comics is located in the same strip mall that Rahway Farm is located in, so I've been a frequent visitor for years. The store is an eclectic mix of fresh produce, canned goods, cheeses, spices, baked goods, sweets and more. Despite this variety, they specialize in produce and it's always been fresh. I've never gotten anything near spoiled or dry here. Their prices are reasonable as well and I enjoy their variety. I mean, not all markets have several types of apples, oranges and grapefruits all in one place. The staff is always helpful. I've had guys who were in the middle of stocking shelves stop what they were doing just to help me get some items I couldn't find. The cashiers really range in personality. Some are totally sweet and friendly while others can be downright surly (they lose a star for that). On another note I also pick up some "sesame crunch" candy here now and then and I consider it the best tasting candy of its type (and I've sampled it from many stores in my time). I enjoy coming to this store and will definitely continue to be a regular in the future. read more

I love this local farmer's market. Everything is always fresh and fully stocked. Every week different items are put on promotion. There is a minimum of ten or fifteen dollars to use credit card though. I also like their fresh flower section, they often have cheap Carnation bouquets ready to be picked up. Parking lot is pretty big so there is never a problem finding a spot. Great prices here and great items. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone who's going to pick up their fruits and vegetables for the week. There are also some staple can items, milk, eggs, rolls, nuts, etc. There is even a small cheese section. I really love the unique choices they stock as well there are often various types of plums and fruits you wouldn't typically find in the supermarket. Love the variety here. Too expensive compared with another farmers market that I go to. $4.99 for ONE cantaloupe that is out of season, not organic. Whaaaat??? The cheapest thing was for red delicious for $0.99, all other apples were $1.49, $1.99, huh? $1.99 grapes, but $2.49 globe grapes. These prices were specifically for today. I assume that their prices change by seasons. I might have stopped by on a waaaay out of season time and they jacked up the prices. The store was small but organized. I came in there with a small empty cart, I walked out of there with a small empty cart and went to my other go to farmers market. Sorry. read more

This year round farmers' market has become my go to for produce as well as other specialty items. Fresh fresh fresh with great prices, helpful staff, and broad selection wins me over. I believe there is actually a chain or coalition of markets similar to this one throughout Jersey. It is The Garden State after all! Produced is locally sourced when possible, but there are imported items as well (obviously we're not growing strawberries in Feb.!) so if that matters to you read your labels. The selection includes staples of fruits and veggies as well as more ethnic ones. Chaote, prickly pear, Asian pears, various squash make appearances. There are a selection of pre-cut fruits off to the far right when you enter, but most everything else comes au natural. Buy your herbs here... You can get bunches of parsley, cilantro or basil for $0.99 instead of $3.50 for a few leaves or sprigs. Go to the back wall to find home made bulk tofu (firm and delicious) that you bag yourself. There's also a selection of cured salamis and sausages, cheeses, milk and eggs. I love looking through the random teas, foreign candies and spices that appear. There are also bins of Portuguese rolls delivered fresh, barrels of loose nuts in shell, and packaged dried fruit/ nut/ trail mix assortments. You can do most all your food shopping here except for meats. Totally worth the separate stops. read more

Lots of good stuff, and the only reliable place for consistently FRESHLY peeled garlic cloves (that might sound weird but if you know, you know...most places don't have it freshly peeled and it looks rotten a lot of the time, and it's irritating. Little grocery/market store that I've been to a few times. Sell everything from fruit to produce, milk, canned and dry goods, and rolls/breads. You can get some great deals if you look. bought 2 containers of strawberries for $5, but you really have to look at the packages to find the best fruit with the least amount of bruising. But I also bought golden delicious apples that they had for $.99 per pound. Not only were the apples huge, but crisp and oh so sweet. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Support your local everything, as the saying goes. We all spend enough at the giant chain stores including supermarkets. If you live in or near Rahway, set aside some grocery money for Rahway Farm. They're your neighbor and seem to be independently owned. And, just as important, they carry a good variety of fruits and vegetables and also offer dairy and snacks. The staff's friendly and, having been a customer for several years, I notice a number of employees continue to work there. That speaks well for Rahway Farm as it's a thankless task, toiling in the retail store business. I do miss one person who moved on, though, a cashier who left to return to her home country of the Philippines just in time for Rodrigo Duterte's rise to power. So I guess I should pray for this gal instead of just missing her. read more

The building was very Caribbean. That means it was a single room with dirty floors, a green wall, and flies all about. Food was ok.

Very nice place for live poultry. Definitely recommend for chicken. Only thing is you goat is not sold here

I have never come out of this store without a few bags of goodies....from fresh produce, to bread, to cheeses and fresh flowers - the list goes on. What I like is that they pick out the "less fresh" items and bundle them up as mark downs. (they are not afraid to give the customer a break on these things in an effort to keep their stock current.) This is our local farmer's market. If you walk in and go to the right, they have a section with to-go fruit which is great if you're short on time but need a healthy snack. I haven't found anything organic, so I can't buy apples and grapes here (I get some weird allergic reaction), but this is our go-to place to pick up last minute ingredients and veggies. I only give 4/5 stars because I picked up two pomegranates last week and one was no good. I wish they added pomegranates to the to-go section.. it's such a pain to get the seeds out and I would gladly pay a little extra for a container of seeds. read more

I try to avoid this place unless it's an absolute emergency. Their fruit is not good. The other vegetables are OK but do not buy the fruit.

Great little market that is always packed with locals picking up a few things. All of my produce from this shop has been good quality and there are good sales and fair prices. Great stop to pick up a few things, the selection is pretty big for being a small shop. Credit purchases are for $10 or more but they are usually very nice about it if you don't have cash. This market is a bit on the smaller side. But they have everything as far as basic fruits and veggies. Some other options. There could be a larger variety and I wish there was because this is closer to my home so it will do. People are always friendly and it gets the job done and everything is fresh. read more
