Does fine in a pinch. Ordered from work (south plains mall) and the food arrived in about 20 minutes which I felt was pretty prompt. There was a $5 delivery fee as well, but you don't have to tip the driver in addition to that. Don't know if the steep fee was because of how far it was or not. I got three burritos and a coffee, the burritos were pretty big for $2.79 and two filled me up. Coffee was better than I thought it would be. Again, not a place I would dine at if I had plenty of time, but in a hurry or for delivery when I'm desperate it worked. Worth checking out. read more

Had breakfast here today for the first time. Great homemade food; the hot sauce, tortillas, papas, etc. Service was outstanding and very friendly. Our race didn't allow us to get decent service. I cannot believe I'm actually writing this review. The service I received yesterday incredibly insulting. The lady in the front (Sophia) was extremely rude to us from the jump because she was "busy." When we asked how long the wait would be she replied with "I don't know a while, like quite a while." We said that was fine and continued to stand there and she got really upset. She started talking about us in Spanish, saying how we were "white girls in a Mexican restaurant and had no idea what we even wanted." Little did she know, I speak Spanish fluently and understood every word she said as she continued to made fun of us. Also, we were standing there waiting for at least 20 minutes with 3 tables open so we sat down at one, Sophia came barging out the back and said loudly "You can't sit there!" So we stood back up and waited a little longer, as we were waiting there standing at least 3 other couples who came in got seated immediately and serviced. Its like she went out of her way to avoid us. We're certain that she got us confused with someone else because we cannot tell you why she was being so rude to us. At the end of it, we asked for a receipt and she said they never have given receipts. We also asked for some plastic wear for our to-go food and she said they didn't have any. Yet other people who were there before us asked and got some, no problem. This was so odd. We just wanted to eat, period. Our race shouldn't have determined us getting to eat or not. read more

Pablo and Damian cook the best tacos in the world and it's $2 a taco, it's BYOB which is AWESOME and they open their breakfast menu WHICH IS TO DIE FOR at 7:00- 3:00 and it's perfect for that hangover cure. All in all this place is so underestimated! read more

I've been to Raider Burrito twice, both times I was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food tastes good. But I don't think they have ever drained their meat, always a RIDICULOUS amount of grease coming out the back end. Just posting this hoping they do something about it. read more

I had the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. I am on a taco binge and want to try out all of the tacos spots in Lubbock. The good: $1.50 tacos, quick, and okay tasting. This would be a great spot for late night tacos. They give a green salsa and an avocado sauce with the tacos. The drive-thru is convenient. The bad: tacos are fairly small (but loaded). You can eat one in two big bites. I would go back if I need a late night taco fix. read more

Meh breakfast burritos. If you get potato in it, the burrito will be 80% potato. Salsa's decent but definitely could be hotter. Go to Burrito Tower or Picante's if you want a pretty good breakfast burrito. The hours are the best part about this place. This place has good chili rellenos. The al pastor isn't as good as some that I've had, but the barbarcoa is fantastic. The enchiladas are good too. The taco stand outside is open late on weekends which is an amazing thing to have at 1am!!! Definitely worth giving it a try. I was extremely excited to go try out Raider Burrito after driving past it several times, and hearing good things from people who had eaten there. On a Thursday morning around 11am, I went in to grab some breakfast burritos. The woman at the counter took the two orders before mine, and walked away as soon as it was my turn. She went around to the tables passing out orders and refilling drinks. I figured she would get to me eventually, but after standing there for 20 mins and her not even acknowledging me I had a sneaky suspicion that because of my outward appearance she was not going to take my order. This is my third time coming, I liked it both times I went but also wouldn't say it's amazing. I usually go to another business for my tacos but they were closed so I came here. Well today I was ready to eat my tacos and what do I see? Hair. Not just one strand but more than one, it almost looked like pubic hair. I will not be returning to this place. I get it stuff happens, but when there's more than one hair on my four tacos I can't help but think about what else they're also not doing because they're clearly not wearing hair nets. I'm from Arizona, and since I've been in Lubbock it has been hard to come across decent Mexican food, everything is "Tex mex" and it's a different kind of "Mexican" food but to me its nothing legit. This place is the only one that made me feel like I was back in the desert! I ordered the tacos of babacoa, they were very flavorful moist meat and definitely worth the trip across town to here. I ordered my kids a quesadilla and they finished within minutes, it had a lot of cheese and flavorful, hubby order tacos al pastor and he's very picky about what's "real" Mexican food and what's not, (trust me he knows) and he even gave it a thumbs up! Big yummy horchatas, And bottled sodas! Also, gotta love the prices!! Everything we ordered (9 tacos, quesadilla, bottled Coke and 2 large horchatas) was only like $20! Recommended to all my out of towners who live here in Lubbock, this place is good! Oh yea they also bring you chips and salsa, and the salsa is perfect! Winning! My favorite Mexican food place in Lubbock. Burritos are very good--simple but fresh and HOT off the range, in fact, everything is very hot--comes straight from the kitchen--no heat lamps or "expediters" here. Good for breakfast, lunch, dinner and they're open late too--door says until 3AM. Polite and attentive service. Salsa is fantastic--I suppose this is all a matter of personal preference, but this is exactly how I like it--also available for take out for only $3 per quart. This is for #2 on slide. Horrible. We walked in for our first and last time. We looked around and the staff was in the corner on right. We asked each other, do we sit ourselves? They literally just starred at us like, what are you doing here! One of the staff girls looked right at us and flipped her head around with a look on her face, that made me say, Lets Go Now. My husband says, did you see the other girls look. When we walked out, I actually flipped the place off. No words of welcome came to us. No we will be right with you. No go ahead and take a seat. Just dirty looks and nothing. So we went to Fuzzy's a few shops down. We were welcomed with a smile and a hello, what can I get you. We enjoyed Fuzzy's Taco like always. Wanted to try #2 out since we have never been to a Raider Burrito being new in town and it looks like we will never know. I gave it a one star because I HAD too.
