The venue and property was absolutely perfect. We had the wedding ceremony and reception that I had…read morealways imagined. The issue that came up is something that I have had to take a few weeks to fully process and I only leave this post as a way to give feedback to the owners and prevent what happened to us happening to others. The owners were very helpful in that they moved chairs for the ceremony and set up the tables and chairs for the reception, they graciously allowed us to rent some of their gorgeous decorations which we so appreciated. The wedding ended at 10:30pm as was their policy. We rented the house out for the weekend and so after the wedding we we're planning on having a bonfire and enjoying our night. The owner came up to me (Katy) and was very upset and demeaning. She called my wedding party degenerates and condescendingly told me that they were trying to take the keg that we had paid for to the bonfire to enjoy for the after party but that this was against their policy (reviewing their policy this is not written anywhere in it). I tried to have a conversation with her to apologize and ask what she would like us to do and she escalated things very quickly - raising her voice, calling my husband a "spoiled brat." I started to cry and she told me "tears will get you no where, honey." I told the other employee some of the things she had said to us and she gaslight me saying that I was misconstruing her words and I was just "too drunk to remember." I had a few drinks at my own wedding but was no where in a state of mind where I can't remember everything she said to us that night. I had to end the conversation saying we would talk in the morning because she continued to get more and more angry, and we were equally upset with what had occurred. I have never had an experience quite so unprofessional and had an interaction with someone who was so unreasonable and just down right mean. My feedback is that this venue become a dry venue because they clearly have issue with this type of celebration (and maybe an anger management class). The issue that I think she was missing was that it was not that we couldn't drink after the bar closed (even though as I said above this was never said prior), it was how she spoke to us and handled the situation. I truly hope this never happens again to anyone else.

The group in front of us was one and a half holes behind by the time we got to the third tee . We called the Pro Shop and no one came out and did anything about it. The Good: almost everything! Excellent layout winding through lowlands Wisconsin. There were a…read morefew quirky holes, short doglegs and some blind shots, but the carts had on board GPS to give exact yardages and overhead views to select your shot. The greens were phenomenal! Very fast, unblemished for a public course and rolled so true. Hint: not as much break at the holes as you see. Fairways were almost perfect. A few spots baked out, but we saw plenty of staff out working the water hoses. I can always appreciate a course that works to give you the best they can. Cart girls and staff were always available and very friendly. The Bad: i'd struggle to find something negative, but if i had to find something, i'd say the tee boxes were probably a 6 out of 10. They have some heat or moisture issues. Again though, we saw staff on several holes trying to make it right. It didn't impede anything for us and there was still green grass. The Ugly: my putting! All in all, I would definitely want to test my game on this course again!

There's a group…read moreof friendly Veterans, an Auxiliary Group, and a Sons of the American Legion group housed in the building. All three work together to support various community activities throughout Grafton and the State of Wisconsin. They sponsor local youth groups, contests at local schools, a baseball program, a summer camp for Veterans and their families, and support active duty personnel through National campaigns. The building is regularly used by many groups in the community. It has become a regular meeting site for many community based organization seeeking to contribute to making life better for citizens in Grafton, Wisconsin, and America at large. The building can be rented for private parties and is a beautiful location for a wedding, bridal shower, party, or meeting. We host a BINGO, have tent rentals, a bar on site, a color guard to perform military honors and parades, and U.S. flags. We still manage to get together to laugh and enjoy each other's company, too! If you're a Grafton Veteran, come check out the American Legion Post #355. If you're not a Veteran, support but saying hello, buying poppies, or just placing your hand on your heart (or clapping) when we pass you with the flag in a parade! It means a lot to us.

Bar had drinks at very reasonable prices and almost never any wait. The show was amazing and funny. They broke it up into 4 scenes with a brief intermission for drink refill and bathroom break. The chicken was the star of the show, accompanied by the usual instant potatoes, avg vegetable medley, a tasty roll, crunch coke slaw and some pink stuff for dessert. The man that ran the place was a solid host, we felt very welcomed by him and all the staff. The venue is a beautiful setting, it felt like I was at a wedding. The comedy acts were entertaining. I'm very glad we went and would attend another event here next time we are in Milwaukee
